Well, it was just an idea and I will continue to send out emails and in some cases if I cannot find an email address for the company next time by I will hand deliver a letter in an envelope addressed to the owner/manager telling them why they lost my business. Doing something is 100% better than doing nothing!!!.........jmho

I have State Farm and have had for about 20 years. Only had 1 claim during that time but was not on house but on my Skeeter Bass Boat. I hit a rock pile just under surface at J.Percy Priest Lake and damage was well over $4,500.00 to boat and lower unit of motor. Happened on Sunday, called them on Monday at 9 AM. with estimates from two different boat repair places that sent them estimates via fax. I got a call from my agent at 9:15 AM with full approval to repair. I have a buddy that does boat repairs that I could not get in touch with that day but State Farm sent me a check made out to me and I had it on Wednesday and my buddy did all the repairs for the check which was less my $250.00 deductible. I was back on the water in 10 days. I have my Jeep, Renters and Boat all with them and will not be changing anytime soon.

Thanks to all. Mother and baby doing fine. Not sure about Meemaw though. Her and my Son In Law both stay worn out trying to keep up with their first grandson and he is just out of the terrible 2's and into the 3 year old category. I love saying to my son in law "Better you than me" when he talks about trying to keep up with that youngun................

My whole reason for the letters or emails is because all folks that have those signs up are from the left because there is not any or just a few expressing their views to the business owners on our side. I figure that many of the signs go up because someone from the left has been putting it in the business owners ear that they need to put them up and the business owners are not really aware of how much business the signs will end up costing them. If they get enough response from law abiding gun owners with HCP's that they will not be doing business with them it might cause them to rethink their signs. Especially when they are informed that before the signs went up about 1/2 or more of their business came from people that traded there with a concealed weapon and they never had any issues. Gun owners need to be heard just like the left is being heard by businesses...............jmho

Yea , it might help but my goal was to keep the email or printed letter to be short and sweet yet polite and still get my point across that the sign will be costing them a lot more than they paid for the signs......jmho

Copy of my standard email letter: f they don't have an email or website you can always print a copy with the filled in blanks accordingly and hand deliver it next time your close by. The Letter: To: (Who Ever) I have been a customer and patron of your establishment for past (X)years. Recently I was at your business front door when I saw the newly posted Gun Free Zone sign on your front door. Since I have been doing business with you for (X) amount of years I have always carried my side arm concealed while in your business. Now that you have seen fit to post your location I feel I will now be taking my business else where. I feel that if you don't want legally armed law biding citizens in your place of business you don't want the money that they would spend in your business either. I wish you and your company all the best but you will now be doing it without my hard earned money. Respectfully (your name)

i have been thinking about this for some time and last week I began doing it. Every time a business I have been trading with puts up the signs I go else where to get what I want and then come home and write an email telling the store owner or if corporate I tell them I will no longer be doing business and tell them why. I wrote the letter in such a way that it can be used for about any business with just a few things such as company name, Then I stored it in my documents and can use it over and over. I think if members here would start doing the same thing to businesses that many members frequent and they get enough letters it just might get business owners looking at their bottom lines closer. Take a small business like a Meat & 3 diner that was not posted and all at once is. If enough folks make their feelings know in a professional and polite manner to the Owner/Manager that they will no longer be doing business with them it might bring down more signs. Many places like that probably have more HCP people trading with them than non carry people and if their bottom line begins to show that sign is hurting business things can change quick. The sign can come down as quick as it went up...............JMHO

2003 Mustang owners I need some transmission removal advice
bersaguy replied to tercel89's topic in General Chat
Hasn't folks figured out by now that they build cars to keep the back yard mechanics from being able to work on them. They have been working on doing that for about 20+ years now and just about succeeded in getting it done. Just last year my son had to pay over $3,000.00 for an Autel Computer Analyzer because he needed to reprogram the computer of a 2008 Dodge Challenger to accept the newly rebuilt transmission sensors to make it shift. Once programmed it worked great. He said he knew he was going to have to purchase the analyzer eventually anyway if he was going to continue rebuilding transmissions. Good thing is the analyzer came with all program adapters through year 2014 so he is good to go for all cars foreign and domestic through 2014. -

:ugh: Reminds me of my brother up in Essex Illinois. He is a Browning Shotgun collector mostly but does have many other brands of guns he has collected over the many years he has been doing this. He began construction on his new home just about the same time they began tearing down the Old Joliet Branch bank. He actually purchased the vault from the old bank and they placed it directly in the middle of his basement and proceeded to build his 4500 square foot house around it. This safe (vault) has built in equipment to make sure nothing will rust or mold or anything else. Twice since they have moved into the house it has suffered Tornado damage and they just get in the safe and ride it out. The house has been rebuilt twice around this bank vault. I think he did an over kill at times and then other times I wonder if he would have survived the tornado's without it............... Maybe if I had his money I would have done something similar.

I know it's hard to believe but I was a grand father at age 35. I didn't learn about my oldest grandson until two years after my oldest sons death from a car accident and learned his girlfriend was pregnant with his son. His girlfriend at the time of his accident waited a couple years to tell me because I had lost my son and she wanted me to get over that before telling me about Michael. The news was somewhat of a shock but a wonderful one has she not told me I would have never known him. I see him or hear from him at least once a month. He is a Cheatham County Sheriff's deputy and has been for about 7 years now. Now with that said the new pet names are already starting again as I now have 1 great grandson 3 years old and I am Peepaw again. I have two more great grand daughters not yet speaking and going to have another Great grand daughter any day now. About two weeks ago I got my daughter to sit down and begin making me a nice list of a kind of family tree with all the kids grand kids and great grand kids so I can keep up with all of them. She also is making it so pictures of each can be updated regularly. Sure makes it a lot easier keeping up with my pride of kids as I age................... names Oldest son Doug Jr. (1968-1990) Daughter Murieka Son Ronnie son Richard 1st grandson Michael 2nd grandson Matthew 3nd grandson Justin 4th grandson Ritchie Jr. (1st granddaughter Danielle) (2nd grandson Cody) These two were born same day, same hospital 2 hours apart! 2 different Mothers 4th grandson Logan 1st great grandson Stephen 1st great gran daughter Christy 2nd great gran daughter Faith

Congratulations and shes a beauty...........  As far as the names you think you would like such as Pawpaw or Peepaw. None of that stuff works. Take it from a guy that knows. I have 7 grandchildren and each of them gave me a different pet name, beginning with Peep paw and then it went to Pawpaw, Ganpaw, Grandpaw, Gramps, Mepaw and last one now calls me Grandfather and he is now 8. Came late in life to my son and his wife. Their other two boys are 24 and 22 and both have daughters or their own.

I agree with you 100% on the Popeyes here in Gallatin, The chicken sucks. We tried the shrimp and it was no better. Over cooked and so crunchy it would break into pieces. I won't ever go there again.................

I thought Colonel Sanders died many years back. Now KFC is advertising that the guy on TV is the real Colonel Sanders. Did they bring him back from the dead? Also, has anyone tried their bake beans recently? They removed the pork and began adding chicken to their baked beans. Not knowing this last time there I ordered bake beans as one of my sides and ended up throwing them out. They taste like ####!! Won't be going back to KFC anymore...........jmho
