1. Thank you to all my fellow vets on this day and hope that your day is filled with all things good..............Happy Veterans Day.......... :usa:   Make sure if you can you call a fellow vet you served with just to let them know you are thinking of them on this day......
2. Prayers coming your way for her and sincerely hope things come out ok for all concerned..........
3. I'm in...........
4. I raised a baby Ferret back years ago and they are incredible creatures to watch. I kept him until he was about 3 years old and it was funny when I would turn him out in the house and everyone would pick their bare feet up in the air to prevent a toe getting bit. After Grand babies began showing up I had to move him on to some friends of mine and they kept him till he died of old age at about age 10..............
5. I think Willard and Teddy are just adorable...............More great furry friends.............. I have become a lover of all furry critters as I get older............
6.   That was kind of my thinking but with all of the gun trash out there it would be hard to figure how any judge is going to look at it unless she gets a older female judge that may see her side to a point. If the parking lots was as busy as they said, I don't know if she is really going to have a real case of fear for her life. If it were late at night or a more secluded place maybe. Just don't know.....
7. Here is a friend I had to have put down in 2010 after he suffered several heart attacks and suffered from an enlarged heart 3 times normal size. His name was Buttons and was actually my wife's dog till she passed away in 1997. I took care of him after she passed. He tolerated Kasey but Kasey also knew he was the boss and never pushed that issue. He had a real bluff in on her since he only had 4 teeth and when he would growl at her she would hunker down and slowly move away from him. Because of his red eyes many of my friends called him a Devil Dog.......lol . He was 15 when he died. 8. I saw the interview on the news last night and I do have mixed thoughts on this issue but after listening to other witnesses at the scene I'm gonna say she is going to be charged as stated. I only have a few questions at this point that seems odd and that is the guy approaching a woman loading groceries in her car and he approaches a complete stranger and asks for a light for a cigarette and then later cannot be found to be interviewed by news media for comment. They didn't have any trouble finding so called witnesses but not the guy that called 911? They also have a video of the entire incident that I would like to see. There is a few questions I would like answered before passing any type of judgement in the case...............jmho
9. I would really appreciate it if this thread was pinned myself............................
10. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. It' hurts very much to lose 1 much less 3 in 8 months would be hard for any one....... :(
11. Last time I shipped a firearm I used UPS but let me warn you of this which I was not aware of. UPS will open your package with you standing right their to make sure you are not shipping ammo with the firearm. So with that in mind just package it up but don't seal it. They will do that for you while you watch. I was shipping firearm to an FFL dealer in Minnesota and buyer picked it up there. It cost $38.50 plus insurance of $5.50 to ship it. Another thing, you cannot use a satellite UPS store to ship it. You have to take it to a UPS Hub to ship it. I tried a local store and they informed me that only a HUB could ship firearms. Had to drive to Elm Hill Pike to ship it........JM.. :2cents:
12. I cannot say enough about this thread. It is great!!!! I just went through the entire thing again after searching for it for about 20 minutes. I am sure there is a way to locate a thread quicker but I am not computer literate so I have to just look till I find it. I think it would be a great thing if we could get this thread pinned if at all possible so folks can find it quicker. If that can be done I would sure appreciate.......
13. The Narrows of the Harpeth area has some great smallmouth bass fishing. That is only about 10 miles from my Grandfathers farm that we lived on that is located in Petway Tennessee. I floated that river in a jon boat many times with a friend from Newsome Station to Mouth of Harpeth at the Cumberland River taking time to camp at night on Gravel bars and catch fish for supper. Those were some great times. The float would take about 5 days if the river was full of water. Some times there would be 2 or 3 boats making the float together..................
14. Oh I did not look at date of your post. It was on Saturday. Maybe Netflix or Redbox will have it. I will check and see............Need to look at post dates more................ :wall:
15. Thanks as I was looking for something to watch tonight except Monday night Football...................
16. Winds can be tough for on the lake. Depending on how cold it is layers are good around 50 degrees with a Gortex rain suit. When I use to fish Dale Hollow Lake on FNF in the dead of Winter I wore a heated Snowmobile suit that hooked into a 12 volt system on the boat and stayed toasty warm all day, even when running 40 MPH across the lake in 20 degree temps. There are other options also that work quite well. Put a tee shirt on the table at home and tape 2 of the large foot warmer heat packs to the back of the shirt on the outside in the kidney area and take it with you to the lake. Once there activate the heat packs and put the tee shirt on and then add outerwear. If you can keep your kidneys warm they will help keep your body warm. Works good in hunting conditions also............just my :2cents:
17. Finally someone in Hollywood with brains and is thinking for herself!!!!!!.......................... :panic:   http://www.therighttobear.com/the-strange-thing-this-famous-actress-did-with-a-toy-gun-will-restore-your-faith-in-humanity/
18. Yep!!! those ears standing up tall is proof that a guard dog is already on duty.............   Congrads on the great news and I don't think you need to worry about being a good dad. Your already that and the baby will just make it that much better.............JMHO
19. "Until this week, I had never been fired, never been formally reprimanded, never had any major failings. I am sure that is to be expected.   I wish I could say that but I was just the opposite. I couldn't count the times I got any one of those things on all my fingers and toes but for the most part it was my fault. I was very good at my occupation and I knew it and that was my problem. The longest time I stayed at any job was the last one I worked at and that was a family owned Repair shop and I was there 10 years before the service station their family had leased from 1949 to 1990 did not get the option to renew their lease. I was unknowingly about to go on disability anyway so it worked out for me kinda.   Glad things worked out so well for you and your family and hope you have a wonderful future with this new company.........
20. One thing I forgot to add in my previous post was the pillow cases or white sheets. Once your meat is completely done and you are going to leave it hanging till used you may want to wrap each piece of meat in a pillow case or cut up white sheet to keep the flies from laying eggs in the meat come warm weather.
21. Depends on how much and what kind of meat you plan on smoking. The one we had on the farm always had Hams, Bacon slabs, jowl hanging from at least 2 250 lb hogs plus needed space in the smoke house for a salt box to pack the meat in salt a couple weeks prior to smoking. So a lot depends on what you plan on smoking and how much. Ours was built with rough sawmill lumber and tin roof with cracks between boards for smoke to escape. Don't see them much any more but a cool idea...........jmho
22. If you watch it pretty close it appears that both of the deer seem to realize he was trying to help them and they looked like they almost kind of settled down some. Might have just been from exhaustion cause the one was breathing really hard but glad it all turned out ok......
23. Not a Video but I found it rather amusing about deer hunting............
24. It could have very well been since it was shortly after our moving onto Grandfathers Farm here from West Chicago and I was not to familiar with snakes in the south. All I know is it was black from a distance and Grandfather told me to not kill any black snakes period.
25. I voted Debit/Credit card because back several years ago I had some bad issues with Paypal and still have the bad taste in my mouth from it. Mine incidents with them were also back when they merged with E-Bay like Randall, but I won't go back if at all possible to avoid them........... :ugh:
