I have never once said I hate all Muslims or Islamic people and never will. I have several Islamic friends and yes a few are Muslims and they all are welcome in my home if they choose to stop by. I have been to their home several times and yea they do live a lifestyle different from mine but that does not make them bad, just different. They do express sorrow when an attack takes place where radical Muslims are involved and they say that all they are doing is bringing attention to a peaceful religion and they do show displeasure over it.................my :2cents:

I do feel blessed to have the friends I have and I was very surprised to run into my buddy from Nam for sure. His gunship pull my team out of 2 different very hot zones that we may not have other wise made it out of. He was based in Chu Lai and that was our original base but we were all over most of the country doing recon missions and other operations.   We met up again about 15 years ago or so at a fishing tournament here in Gallatin and we both kept looking at each other and both knew that we knew each other from some place and both were trying to figure it out and it was funny because neither one of us wanted to ask the other and finally he broke the ice and asked me where he knew me from and I said I am not sure but we had met in the past. As we talked and I listened to his voice I ask him if he was in Nam and he began laughing and said yea and that is where we met. As time went on it was the first time either one of us felt comfortable talking about those times. Now we don't talk about them but what we are doing these days are more important to us.............. :up:

There is little doubt this is related to a terrorist attack. Of course ISIS is going to take claim for it regardless of which terrorist organization they may be affiliated with. ISIS has announced that if you cannot come here and fight kill infidels where ever you are. That should be evident his as it was a somewhat well planned attack. With that said the police are convinced it was only 2 shooters yet many witnesses say 3 shooters. I'm curious as to how many more are involved besides the 2 shooters. The neighbor that lived next to the house they found to be the shooters said she saw 3 or 4 middle eastern men coming and going at all hours and receiving many boxes being delivered. Now that they have taken the house I wonder how much more information the police and FBI now have that they have not shared with the public................ :shrug: :shrug:

This sounds like a well planned attack and it had to be someone that knew on that particular date at a particular time this particular holiday party was going to be taking place. It was almost like they had a target planned and it was get the target and get out. The shooting was quick and precise and what better vehicle to use for the escape than a black SUV with dark windows. Would someone like to tell me a police department that does not have at least 10 or more of them in their fleet? Gallatin has I think 8 Suburbans exactly fits that description so of course police are not going to give that vehicle any thought if they have even a few on their force and witnesses said they saw it leaving while police were arriving at the scene. Going to be interesting finding these shooters if they ever do unless they strike again................jmho

If you could see her bed you would know she will never get jealous. Her bed in the house is a twin size memory foam mattress with a big blue quilt on top of it along with all her toys that were her favorites when she was a puppy. The buddy that gave me the Chair was the one that gave her the mattress for her bed. They spoil her rotten and then blame it on me............. :up: :up:

I have always tried to be a good friend every chance I get. Good friends like these couple guys plus several more I can name off have been close for longer than I can remember and yea, There has been times I got these kind of calls and I was there for them but most of those were not of this magnitude but more or less just favors like borrowing my Boat cause theirs is in the shop or getting me to make them some baits they like to use. I guess it is not the size or the amount that we all put on our friendship but just being there is what makes it so tight.........jmho 

This is two different friends that I have been friends with for many years. One of them goes back about 25 years. The other one believe it or not we met in Vietnam in 1971. He was a door gunner on a Huey gun ship that extracted my team out of the jungle 3 different times and we became friends back then and ran back into each other about 15 years ago and learned we only live 5 miles from each other. All of us are very close and several times a week we have coffee at my house in the morning................... :up: :up: :up:

Sometimes there are just no words you can say when it comes to real friends and I am blessed with some great ones. About three weeks ago my old worn out recliner took a dump and back broke on it. I called a buddy of mine with a pickup truck and asked if he could haul it off for me and he said yea about about 3 hours later he shows up with this which is a brand new Lazy Boy recliner. Puts it together and hauls the old one off and won't let me pay him a dime. Then Yesterday morning I discovered that my chest freezer had quit working and thankful everything was still froze. I called another friend that i knew had some space in his freezer and asked him if I could bring all my frozen stuff to his place till I could figure out what I could do about getting the old one fixed. He said give him about an hour and he would see about coming and getting all the stuff. About an hour later him and the guy that gave me the recliner showed up with this. Brand New one. I had to wait about 2 hours to transfer all my stuff over into it but didn't lose anything. Again I asked them to let me pay them and both of them just smiled and said thats what friends are for and climbed in the truck and left! Need I say anymore????

Has there been any updates on this story since it broke? I watch news every night and have not heard anything since the first night.... :shrug:

Was in the news the other night but nothing has been voted on yet on how they plan to handle it at that time........ :shrug:

I quit going to gun shows in 2008 as many of the merchants at them are mostly local gun stores anyway so if I am looking for a gun I go to m local gun store and shop...........jmho

I bet the Governor is not going to let him back in Texas. He has probably been well trained in IED building now and wants to come home to blow something up. Let him go live in DC if he wants to come back home. Some place close to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. would be nice............jmho

I don't know why anyone should be surprised at this.......... :shrug: They just elected a liberal Female Mayor that has zero interests in Gun Shows or racing Stock cars on Saturday Nights so of course they would vote to close down anything that makes money when they have all these pet plans on the back burners just waiting for it to go belly up. I bet before it's over the Nashville Flea Market will be asked to leave because some things they sell are controversial also...............jmho   Like HP also said, there is probably more oil under the ground there than some wells in Kentucky cause that race track has been operating there more than 75 years. And that does not count all the lead and battery acids that have leaked into the earth around the track all those years...... :up: 

I am just glad all this rain ain't snow cause it would be 3 feet + deep.   Someone mentioned grass cutting, I don't do that, Landlord does that and he has quit for the year also. I think it needed one more cut but I can live with it till Spring.......... :up: :up:

I will wait for the DVD's to be released since I have everything Star Wars has released to date on DVD so will watch it on my TV and then put it in the collection............... :up:

I'm just about at that point and I am only 67.  Power, Volume, Channel and a cup of coffee and I'm good to go. I had my son in law tell me all about all this fancy streaming stuff and all the new gadgets out there. He showed me his Smart phone and all the apps on it and told me I needed to get one. I asked him how much all of this stuff costs and he told me how much it costs him and my daughter combined. I would have to move under a bridge somewhere in a tent cause it would consume most of my funds each month. Like I said I like things simple and the simpler the better..........jmho   

If I did my own reloading I might trust carrying mine for self defense but don't know about anyone else's...........jmho

I have seen some of those camera systems that have very clear images and others that are nothing but a blur. If I could not make out the brand of automobile sitting in my driveway or a person clearly enough to describe any tattoos of other identifying marks on the person I would be getting my money back and looking elsewhere for a better brand...........jmho   They remind me of the ones you see on the news that says if any one can identify this person please call Crimestoppers. I laugh every time I see one of those. The picture is a blob of blur!!!  You would think a business owner would invest in a better camera video system than most do.........jmho
