  1. Quote"The older I get.. the pickier I get what I put into my body".      I had to laugh when I read that...........  I am just the opposite..........The older I get the less I care about what I put in my body. I guess in the last several years I have ate foods I would never have eaten 10 years ago. learning now what I was missing out on all those years........
  2. I spent a small fortune on Kasey's itching issues with 1 Vet which was just giving her a shot of Steroids every time I took her in and he claimed he checked her for Fleas but evidently the guy was blind cause she had them bad but I could not see them for the 5 coats of hair and I coat of tight skin down like a duck has as it is part of her breed. She sheds about 10 times a year also. Took her to a buddy of mines Vet when Kasey began losing hair off her rump in front of her tail. She said Kasey had a very bad case of Fleas causing her hair to fall out and her constant scratching and loved anyone that would scratch her. They gave her three baths on first trip to make sure they got all the way down to her skin through the down against her skin. Then they sent her home with a topical flea treatment for me to put on her once a month. All her problems were gone in about 60 days and her hair was back and she was not itching that way she was. Now we do deal with her ear and rump itching issues. There is a food issue that the Vet says as long as Kasey will not eat anything normal dogs will eat there is not much that she can do for that. She is a great vet and Kasey likes her where the other guy she offered to bite several times.Kasey's new vet for the last 8 years has spent a quite a  few bucks trying to find meds in the form of snacks that most every other dog will eat and beg for more and Kasey turns her nose up at them. I have some Samples she gave me two weeks ago in Kasey's normal check up and nail clips and she gave me a new liquid fish oil base medication to put on her food to help with her skin issue in winter. I put a few squirts on Kasey's supper and she refused to eat it. I tried to Ok go hungry stunt which didn't work. She just refused to eat for about 4hours and daddy fell weak and put a new plate down and she woofed it right up. She did have her on a pill which I was able to slip past her in a slice of lunch meat but the darn company quit making it. She is trying to find another company that makes the pills.  Hope you find out what is your dogs problem soon and can get it solved.
  3. Ok, I have ask for 2 for myself and for anyone looking for a processor I just got off the phone with mine and he said he can handle all the deer anyone needs processed but he only does standard cut. Does not do sausage or anything special. Does do burger if you want burger. He picks up all the deer he processes from Poindexters bait shop on 109 1 mile on left after you cross over the big river bridge in Gallatin where they are kept in a big cooler locker. Locker fee is 10 bucks  He processes your deer and takes it back to Poindexters and you can pick it up there when you are notified it is done. They will keep it frozen for you till you pick it up no charge for 8 days. Your cooler limit is also 8 days. If anyone is interested in having him process a deer for you PM me and I will give you his phone number and name.  The deer must be dropped off for processing at Poindexters Bait and Tackle which is also a Check in Station and open 6-6 Mon-Sat and 5:30 to 5 on Sunday. Hope this helps folks looking for a processor as they are getting very hard to find....................
  4. I'm betting it Moles. I have them here and they have dug soft spots all over my back yard and front yard and build piles of dirt around the patio concrete. I ended the digging around the patio with a couple gallons of bleach poured around the entire patio about an hour before a rain came and it soaked the bleach into the earth around it. Have not had any new ones in over two years in that area. Don't know if it killed the critters or their food but either way they are gone.............
  5. Ok, now if you folks are really wanting to stop this go out and see just where these nets are being placed. They are not allow to be placed in any area that completely closes off any area to boat traffic such as all the way across the mouth of any coves or all the way across a creek denying boats to pass into the that creek access or travel the creek with your boat. If you find one that denies you access cal the TWRA and report it immediately. That Commercial fisherman will lose his privileges, his nets, boat and maybe event his truck used to take his boat to the lake plus fines to 10 grand. That is the only bad thing I don't like about the TWRA. They don't have boats on our lakes patrolling these lakes for commercial fishing violations. That is why it is so vital that anglers do the patrolling while out fishing as I did with the wild life I found. I was just out fishing when I discovered the birds. Check your local areas and see where the commercial fishermen are allowed to have their nets and time of year they can have them. If you see any nets where they should not be report it. I tried to open up the link to sign the petition but I have a firewall preventing it. If you have another link to the poll please post it.............
  6. Gill nets have been used for may years by commercial fishing industry and as long as they have a license and only place the gill nets in designated areas allowed by TWRA there is really nothing any one can do to prevent it. Back when I was fishing almost daily I would find many gill nets located in areas that were legal according to TWRA .   I did have a run in with one commercial fisherman but I was totally within my rights to do what I did and he ended up losing his license over it. This was on Old Hickory lake. I was running down main channel and saw a Loon all tangled in the net and could tell it had been in it quite some time. I stopped and put the trolling motor down and trolled over and took a pair of scissors and had to cut a part of the net about 10 foot square out and then bring the bird on board to care fully get the bird out and release it. (By the way Loons are not very friendly) I finally released the bird and began to continue on my way. Down stream about 1/4 mile I ran up on another net that had a Green Head Mallard all tangled up in the net and I preceded to take the same action again to release the duck.   Just about that time the fisherman showed up as I was untangling the duck on the deck of my boat. He was raising all kinds of hell about me destroying an 800.00 net for the sake of a damn bird. I told him if he was with his nets as is required by law I would not have had to cut them. He was getting very irate so I took out my cell phone for which I have TWRA on speed dial and I called them and just so happens they have a boat about 3 miles from my location.   He shows up while this guy is reading me the riot act about what he is going to do to me while I am still carefully cutting the duck out of the net on my boat deck. Only one that got arrested was him and his nets were all confiscated by TWRA and he lost his commercial license for 5 years. If you find wild life in any of the gill nets call the TWRA and give them location of the nets and wild life trapped in them. They don't agree with Commercial fisherman and gill netting and will normally respond pretty quick. Just my experience with gill nets..................and my :2cents:
  7. I think I heard from some news source that these particular vests they were wearing was extremely volatile and also extremely unstable and even jumping up and down could set them off. I think they said some of the ingredients could be purchased in department stores and hardware stores. That would make them ever more accessible in my opinion. I agree with Dolo on the fact he was not self taught but taught by a bomb maker prior to his making them in France.................jmho
  8. I have a GoPhone wireless from AT&T and I was having same issue. I removed the device from the modem and them went and removed the program from my desk top and waited 5 minutes and re-downloaded the entire program back into the computer and have not had an issue like I having since. You might just try deleting the program and re installing it again...........just an idea and MHO.
  9. Probably a very smart move or they will have a Bobo case or Vanderbilt Rape case that could last for years.............jmho
  10. To answer your question about what are parents teaching their children these days? They are not teaching them much of anything of any benefit that would improve their up bringing.................jmho
  11.  If you would have called TWRA soon enough they would have retrieved the deer for you so it would not go to waste. They would ask the land owner for permission for you to retrieve it and if they said no they would have went and got it for you. The land owner can tell you no but he cannot tell them no. They have jurisdiction on any land public of private period. I have heard of this happening several times in the past and there has been a couple times that the TWRA wardens retrieved the deer for the hunter and a few time the hunter agreed to donate the deer for the homeless shelters and for doing so it did not go as part of their bag limit for the season as the hunter didn't have to use a tag........
  12. They said in the news that police have said they have good DNA to test so it will all come out when tests come back. I do hope they have the right guy and if he had an accomplice that they can catch them also. I still find it hard to believe how fast this crime took place and the short period of time in which they found her body................  Someone knows a lot more than is being let out on this I believe. Hope it all comes out soon so the family can get some kind of closure if that is possible............
  13. Sometimes I wonder just how some of these ATF people find their way home at night after work. These are the people that are suppose to be up to date on fire arms and yet can make some of the most stupid statements ever. It just shows their ignorance to what they actually do know and yet these are the people we are suppose to learn from............
  14. I would like to see the jack he used to get that truck that high up in the first place...............
  15. Thank you for explaining it all to me. It does sound complexed for sure but I guess it is all on the up & up. I was just in awe over the cost of things at the concession area which of course was run by students that were volunteers I'm sure since they were all college age and wearing Tennessee type clothing.......... :squint:
  16. In a country that has nuclear weapons such as the USA they must first be willing to accept all of the collateral damage that will be involved. There are counties that have them but only willing to use them as a last resort and then there are countries that have them such as North Korea Pakistan and probably soon Iran that would use them as a weapon to destroy an enemy they just feared and not care about collateral damage. This is a dangerous world folks and we all know how ISIS believes. They look forward to death and don't fear it. That can be probably the most dangerous enemy any country can have and every country in the free world is their target with the west being at the top of their list. If someone does not cut the head off this snake it will strike and continue to strike until someone does. Lets hope its head is cut off sooner than later...........jmho
  17. I watched it last night....................had a few good points but mostly cover what has already been in the news about France attacks.... :ugh:
  18. address sent thanks.........
  19. I think in all  reality the judge gave him what he really deserved which will probably end up being a death sentence..........jmho
  20.   You can tell by the way those eyes are slanted and cut in a direction that Khloe was definitely not ready to be woke up yet.......
  21. The first thing I did when I get a different vehicle is throw away that scissor jack and put my hydraulic jack in the vehicle. I bought two of them when i caught them on sale at Oreilly's Auto Parts for $23.95 each. Worked well on my full size 1500 series GMC pickup and now my Jeep Cherokee. They are the roll around version and come in a hard case for carrying and storage. As I have gotten older I have my son change my oil at the shop he owns and works in. Now jacks are only used to replace a flat tire..........    Really glad you did not get hurt................
  22. If I worked for a company and they sent me into any foreign land with all the stuff going on all around the world they would only send me home because I would submit my resignation before they could hand me the plane tickets..........JMHO. This is the only place in the world I feel safe and more so in Tennessee than even some of the other states......JMHO again.   Hope Willis gets home safe and quits that damn job and gets something 9-5 at home.......
  23. I have thought about it long and hard for last couple weeks after seeing all these so called students and their bitching and complaining about their wants verses their needs. Their wants are for the most part unjustified and their needs are boot up their spoiled rotten a$$es and it should be the Universities doing to booting. Universities are there for one thing. To educate a student in higher education. Not to be a baby sitter to a bunch of cry babies. If these stunts took place in a high school the students would be expelled. In college the educators are fired. What is wrong with that picture?   Now you talk about funding and that Colleges depend on Tuition's to pay wages. If that is true what happens to all the money taken in at one home game at University of Tennessee. I and my wife attended one game back the first year, the first game after the new seating was in place and the place was packed to the hilt. 1 trip to the concession stand was all I could afford without floating a loan at the bank. What would have cost me about $12.00 at any fast food outlet cost me $56.00 there. The only reason I was able to take my wife was because a friend of mine had season tickets and loaned them to me to take her. Everyone at the place must have made 1 or more trips to concessions which by the end of the night had to amount way beyond any amount taken in I could imagine not counting ticket admission costs. Were does that money go? Can anyone tell me. Now base that on how many home games they have on an average year it has to put numbers in the hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars.   Off my soap box now......................
  24.   Yes, there are few that are smarter but for the most part it is more dedication combined with stupidity than brains. As being afraid of our being well armed. Guns are good against other guns but guns don't work if the bad guys are wearing IED Vests and not packing guns. That plays very little in their train of thought because they know that they will die during their assault so the only real point is how fast people with guns respond to their attack if they did use guns. As they showed the other night in Paris, They couldn't kill anyone except for 1 innocent bystander yet 3 of the blew themselves up in front of that soccer field when they were refused admission.  They had tickets and had they got there before the game started they would have been allowed in. Poor timing on their part...............jmho
  25. I don't doubt they did it and probably with a can and that blasting cap if the can was placed in the right location on the plane but I just don't believe they showed everything else that was used. Some said it didn't have a timer. A timer is not needed if it is triggered by a cell phone. That is why I don't think they are showing everything. Just enough to get Putin's attention. They also did find TNT residue On plane parts and on a few bodies...........jmho
