  2. Thats cool right there................
  3. My Son in law's company purchases those foam ear plugs by the 1000's for employees on job sites and I guess I probably have a 100 he gave me to use at the range. They do work to a point but I still prefer to use muffs when at the range........just preference I guess...........
  4. Welcome aboard. Great to have you here...........
  5. That depends on the pipe.......Shotgun with 00 buck would be an exception to that.
  6. I can remember when there were many things you could not purchase a lot of items on them that they can buy now. I think just about anything except tobacco and Alcoholic beverages now. Anything else is fair game I think................
  7. I thought last time a gun law was in front of them and they handed down a decision on 2nd Amendment that they said they would not hear anything else on this topic period.................
  8. Welcome to TGO Iris. you are very welcome here and you could not have joined a better site anywhere.........
  9. Back years ago my mother had a few friends that lived in public housing and ever so often she would ask me to take her to visit them and I would. I could not count on both fingers and toes the number of high end vehicles such as Caddy's Lincolns, Range Rovers and Hummers all with fancy wheels and tires on them parked in there. I asked one of my mothers friends how these people could afford their high end cars and trucks. He reply was short and sweet. Drug dealers. She said they all live with young girls that can qualify for public housing and food stamps because their income is not counted because they are not married. That pretty much summed it up in a nutshell. I had already drew that conclusion but just wanted to verify my thoughts.   I use to have a few customers that traded with me when  had my own shop. I knew what they did for a living but never bothered to ask. I can remember one in particular. He drove a 1965 Chevy 4 door hardtop. He was having the entire car rebuilt from bumper to bumper. He came to me to get the motor and transmission rebuilt. He also had me do a change out of front brake system and put disc brakes on the front. He never ask how much it would cost. He just ask me when it would be done. I told him 3 weeks. In 3 weeks he walked in the door to get his car and we had it ready. I handed him the bill and he never even hesitated. He began bring out wads of 100 dollar bills out of the cargo pants pockets till he counted out 5,200.00 and I handed him the keys. He came back after he had the car completed to show it to me. He had added a hydraulic low rider kit to it and had gold mag wheels and wide profile tires on it. I asked him about how much he had in the car and he said about $18,000.00.   His whole family traded with me. One day his mother came in to get some work done on her car and I asked her about Carlye and said I had not seen him around in a while. She dropped her head and said I guess you have not heard. He was killed while in Chattanooga 2 months earlier during a car hijacking and he refused to let them have his car so they dragged him out of his car and shot him 5 times in the street and took the car. Goes to show, if you live a life of crime and violence most likely that is how you will die. Oh yea he and his family lived in the projects on University Court off Murfreesboro Road. Highest crime rate area in Nashville.   With that said, good chance had that video over the steak not been staged and was real, my guess is that the people he took the steak from just did not want to draw the police into it and wanted to avoid any attention being drawn to them by the police.......... jmho
  10. It is located in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and I went through it on a field trip in Grammer school when I was in 6th grade..................
  11. I like this 1000 times............
  12. They are wanting to slant the fact that good guys with guns do not prevent mass shootings. Like BW stated more of all mass shooting have taken place in gun free zones where good guys with guns are not allowed to be. It is hardly a fair discussion and is totally one sided when you take away the opportunity to allow the good guys to be where the bad guys go.................jmho
  13. Updated mine to be less traditional................. :hiding: Or more traditional depending on traditions............
  14. I can promise anyone this. If I was ever faced with a scenario such as this one and I am armed I will not be shot in the back. I might get shot but it will be because I am facing my enemy and doing everything in my power to if not kill them at least hurt them, or discourage them and do a Shock n Awe till the Calvary does arrive since they won't be expecting a soft target to shoot back...................... :usa:
  15. It's an election year and the candidates will say or do what ever it takes to get votes but will forget all those promises if elected or sent back home with tail tucked between their legs............. JMHO
  16. Excuse me,I wasn't trying to be smart about anything. Was just something I picked up on while watching the video.............
  17. Did anyone pick up on the fact that the guy said that when the bad people pushed the buttons they failed to work. That would be a clear indication to anyone that knows those firearms would know that there is no magic button on the them. Yet they continued to discuss it anyway. They should have said that there are no magic buttons on them and moved on from that.......Like I have said many times.. You can't fix Stupid..................
  18. I have been in line many times at Walmart waiting to check out. There will be a woman and a guy in front of me and they will have 2 carts full of food. They will pay for the food with a food stamp card and when it comes time to pay for the 6 cartons of cigarettes the guy or maybe the woman will pull out a wad of 100 dollar bills and pull out a couple to pay for the smokes. Then as you follow them out into the parking lot they are loading the stuff is a Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Esclaide with wheels that probably cost 3 grand on it. That is the way this country has gone. I quit going to Walmart because I didn't like to see stuff like that going on and it seemed to be on a regular basis when I would be there.................
  19. Well, I guess I do know what it is like to be shot and on numerous occasions but then anyone that has ever been in combat knows that. What makes me wonder is how many people at shooting scenes cannot tell the difference between gun fire and Party Poppers when you hear them talk about the shooting. Most times they say they heard the gun fire but didn't know what it was. I guess that does come with training to a point. I know what gun fire sounds like in many different conditions from inside a building to out doors. Anyone who owns a gun and has any range time at all should be able to recognize gun fire. I think it is to many on the left that don't own firearms that get interviewed for some reason...............
  20. Ya just gotta love the folks here when it comes to helping out a fellow TGO'ER. There are none better and that is for sure....
  21. Well, it is my understanding that all of the guns they used in this last shooting were purchased legally with back ground checks so what more can be done in that area. They said two of the guns were not purchased by either shooter so maybe they need to locate that person and find out who he is..............jmho
  22. Well, I looked at all the pictures and the one thing I am completely sure of is...........                     Ford SUV's are not bullet proof.......................
  23.   Good tips for sure. I have made it a practice for many years to never sit with my back to any door or stand with my back to any door while I am in a business. I want to at all times know who or what is coming in the door. If you see guys coming towards the door with guns out long or short you begin moving right then to prepare for what is about to happen. Like many have said seconds can count in your favor if you stay crisp about your surrounding.................
  24. Yea and I am still pondering over it. He said he won't do anything with it till he hears from me.in next couple days. Does anyone know if they make a pistol type front slide grip for this type gun?
  25. We have heard from Pelosi on the issue but has anyone heard anything from the other wicked witch of the West  Dianne Feinstein
