Didn't plan on going to Virginia any time soon so no great loss to be but I know a lot of folks that ahve family there that will be pissed for sure. I wonder if Tennessee will answer back and not let Virginians carry here............. :shrug:

Well I survived the first day but last night really sucked. Didn't get much rest at all. My Nose got stopped up and couldn't breath through my mouth long enough to stay asleep more than about 30 minutes and then up again. Won't be taking any more Nyquil. That stuff drys you out and stops up your nose bad. A buddy of mine went and got the meds the doctor called in for me and I began taking them yesterday evening. Hope they kick in today................. :up: 

I think I am plagued as far as being sick on Holidays David. When I had my stroke in 1997 it was on Thanksgiving Weekend. When I had my heart attack it was also on Thanksgiving weekend in 2006 and last year I went in for simple UTI infection on December 18th and learned I had a grocery list of illnesses that I don't believe I had and they cleared up the UTI in an hour with IV antibiotics and went back to normal color urine before they could even get me in a room. I just don't trust all these new doctors.   I think it is the almighty dollar that drives them today and not the actual care of the patient.  If you have insurance be prepared to become a Grocery store for them to shop in. If you don't they shove some pills at you and send you packing................jmho

  Thanks very much for the concern folks as it is very much appreciated. I explained in earlier post how I feel about most doctors these days and I have contacted mine and she has told me what to do and is calling me in something that will take care of it. She said she has seen a rash of this in past week to 10 days and says there is no sense in me driving 70 miles one way for this when I have to see her in mid January anyway for my semi annual checkup. I got my Flu shot and Pneumonia shot back in October so should be good to go there. 

A friend of mine stopped by this morning and called his wife and ask her what I should take since she is a nurse. She said Alka Selzer Plus Cold and Nyquil so he is headed to the store to pick me some up. Said take the Alka Selzer for day time and NyQuil at night. Said just get rest and take meds and should be good to go before Christmas. Hope shes right cause I feel like....   Last time I went to have something checked out I was put in Hospital and they used my body as a grocery store and said they found all these bad things I didn't know I had and still not convinced I actually had them but was put on meds for life to treat them before I could get out of there and had to have surgery a month after Christmas last year for an aneurysm that they never showed me a picture of it yet they said they found it on a CT scan and it was the size of an orange. My personal Doctor had to threaten to sue them to get what few reports they sent her which she still has never seen pictures of the aneurysm and she said that she was my doctor for 18 years and she never had any tests come back showing I was type 2 diabetic yet the doctors in the hospital said I was and put me on meds before I could get out of there and get a second opinion.    I just do not trust these so called doctors anymore. Everyone of them are connected to a number of Tri-Star hospitals and all their offices are for the most part located on hospital property. My family doctor surrendered her privileges to practice at Tri-Star Hospitals because she does not approve of the way they do business. That's good enough for me.......................... :up: 

Well, I got my Secret Santa gift this morning. It is a Visa Gift Card and I am very happy to receive it. I have always said you cannot go wrong with cash when trying to find someone a gift you don't know well. Have not had a cold in probably 15 years and woke up this morning with head and chest cold and sore throat from hell. Can anyone recommend what they take for common colds that works for them? I have not bought anything in such a long time I don't even know whats out there that works????? Thanks

Ok, now I have a question about this. I had a K5 79 Blazer back in the mid 80's and when I went to the manual lock outs from full time I also had to replace a slide unit in the transfer case to make it work. Is that not required on the newer models with full time units when you convert to Manual lock out hubs?................... :dunno:

I am a Bears fan actually. Just can't bring myself to be a Titan fan but would like to see them do better than they do...... :hiding:

  I have or had quite a few somewhat liberal friends that have owned firearms long before Obama got elected. Most of them for the purpose of Hunting and we did hunt a lot together. I would say in the last 4 or 5 years they have purchased more and more hand guns and some a few black rifles. A few of them have even changed their political views and last time voted Republican. Some of them even went through the class and got HCP's   I have spoke with them recently and they said there is no way in hell this could vote for Hillary and don't really care for Trump but will vote for him if he is the guy. Most of them say they would like to see Cruz get the nod................. :shrug:

I would not say it was an off duty police office but may be. I would say it could have also have been ex military as they also would react in a similar manner as a trained officer would. I even know some people that are neither one that have been through training and a lot of practice that would react in a similar nature. Dang sure didn't take his partner long to get gone..... :bowrofl:   I'm just glad it turned out as it did............... :up: :up: mark up one for the good guys............ :cheers:

  I couldn't get 28 people in my house and be able to move. 10 makes it really crowded and if my family was to all show up including grand children I would probably have about 50+ people.   I did have a family gathering here about 5 years ago but was an outdoor affair and we cooked out and a family member provided a whole hog and we did an old fashion Pit Bar-B-Que and everyone brought something and had it not been for a few friends that loaned me about 60 folding chairs and 3 long folding tables most folks would have been sitting on the ground people. I did get a warning citation from city for my fire I had to make coals to cook the hog but they told me I would not have to put it out and could finish the cook out.   I sent hog home with everyone that came and still ended up freezing about 90lbs. Was a great time for me but won't try it again............ :up:  :up:

I spoke to my son this morning about your issue. He suggested a good cleaning and repacking of the front hubs should fix your problem. He also added that with the first cold weather here that could cause the old grease to not allow the hubs to engage. He also suggested that a few times a year during even the warmer months for you ti engage your 4X4 units for about a mile to help keep them lubricated for the times when you do need them...........Hope this helps............. :up:

You can bet there are many things behind the scene of this scheme that has not been said out loud or in print and it will come out after the program is implemented. It will be another Obama lie such as "If you like your insurance you can keep your insurance."  And that ObamaCare insurance will be affordable. I have known for quit sometime what his views are on the 2nd Amendment so this video does not surprise me. I like him for his stand on it and he is not going to let the Tinsel Town Critics change his view on it. Many people in Tinsel Town won't speak out in favor of 2nd Amendment because they are afraid they won't get work but yet most of them do own guns but won't admit it in public............jmho

I have a friend in Illinois that I grew up with up there and we speak often. He and his wife were looking at moving down here up till 2 years ago when he applied for a hand gun Carry Permit and got it in less than 2 weeks. Now keeping in mind he is an FFL License holder already and has been for about 18+ years and operates out of his home. The ATF went to his home back when he applied for his FFL and after their inspection they said he would have no problem getting approved. They said that he had the best armory operation they had ever in a home operation. He has a class III level license. He owns a house with a full basement all under ground with no windows. Only 1 door at the far end of it and you us go down 12 steps to get to the floor. He has a complete climate controlled system that maintains perfect environment for firearms and powders. The far end of the basement has a Vault in it large enough to walk into. House also has a fire sprinkler system.   Last time we spoke he said that Illinois is looking at making some very serious new gun laws that will be more like laws in many other states and they have been looking at what other states are offering and building on ideas from what they see that are working in other states. He suggested to his local elected officials that they take a serious look at Kentucky and Tennessee as he has been researching both states laws and they seem to be working well.   He said that the terrorist attacks and possible new ones is what has changed the minds of many legislators there I hope it all works out for him. .................jmho

I have always had the utmost respect for that young lady to be willing to stand up and tell all those legislators exactly how I feel everyday. I felt bad the first time I heard that video for her loss of her parents but very proud of her for standing up to Government Officials and standing up for the 2nd Amendment. I love he closing statement. It was totally SPOT ON!!!!!...........jmho
