I think he has already made his bed and now he will have to lay in it. If the 49's drop him I would guess his football career is over because only a very stupid team would ever sign him again. It would be poison for that team............jmho

Thats funny right there but you are not the only one with doves in your yard.......... I have a flock that has camped out in my back yard for past 2 weeks. I feed the birds around here twice a day and I have a gravel driveway around the back of my house and every morning and evening there is about 25 to 30 doves eating on the driveway and then they go about a mile down to a creek for water and come back and roost in the loplolly pine trees in my neighbors yard. They have found a safe zone here..............lol.

I began hunting small game such as squirrels and rabbits at age 8 when my parents bought me my first shotgun for Christmas. It was a single shot 4.10 and my Uncle Teen took me hunting and taught me all about gun safety and how to hunt. I hunted small game and in later years big game like deer but never lost my love for small game until I got to old to make the long walks in the woods. Then as some have mentioned, finding land to hunt is almost impossible without driving many miles. I did pass down hunting to both of my sons and they have continued the tradition to their sons. I did go a few times last year with my sons youngest boy that came along late in years for them and he is now 10 years old. He is a good shot and he managed to bag 5 squirrels while grandpa got 2. We took them back to the house and he had them cleaned and ready for the freezer in about 20 minutes. If I really wanted some squirrel I have about 20 here in my yard every day cause I feed them all winter with 6 squirrel feeders and I have a pellet rifle that makes almost zero noise but I enjoy watching them to much to shoot them. Would be like shooting pets as I have been feeding them for about 12 years now. I do think I am going to try a deer hunt this year as I have not been since 1990 but 10 year old grandson has invited me to go and my sons land has plenty of deer on it. His older brother and he planted some deer plots last Spring and I think I will give it a try since he has an ATV for me to use and it's only about 400 yards from his house through the woods on well made ATV trails.

Thats funny right there but glad the Chow didn't get to you enough before you got the mask off. This reminds me of back years ago when I was getting ready for Halloween and putting on my Grim Reaper make up to hand out candy that evening. My daughter and wife was going to be taking my grandchildren around the neighborhood. All the time I was putting my make up on my oldest grandson was watching me. Later that evening he was made up as batman when they arrived at our house. He would run up and knock and when the people would open the door he would yell out "I'm Batman" and people would give him candy and he would move to next house. Now take into consideration he knew that ths was poppaws house and was excited to say "I'm Batman when I opened the door. Well, he knocked and when the Grim Reaper opened the door He said I'm Batman and then the words OH NO!!! came out of his mouth and he clear the 3 steps of the porch in one leap and went running to my daughter and wife and hid behind them. They tried about 3 times to get him to go back and get his candy but he was having none of that. Later that night he had forgot about it and after they were done getting candy they came back to the house and came in and he saw me and this time instead of running he just stood there and peep his pants and It took about 5 minutes of me taking my makeup off to convince him it was poppaw. I did have a little problem giving candy away that night...........

Medical marijuana = no gun purchase

I think the Feds are just looking for another way to gain more gun controls. I bet half or more of the Feds wanting the law probably smoke it themselves..............jmho -
I think if someone is going to be flying one of these toys over a persons property they should be required to get that property owners permission or expect that this may very well happen to their toy also. Just because they have the money to buy these expensive toys does not give them the right to make a pest of themselves and disturb the property owners in that area............jmho

I am an American 100% and even when setting by myself in my living room watching a sporting event and the National Anthem begins I stand and put my hand on my heart. Back when I was in uniform I would salute when ever it was played or sang. Now with all that said, I don't agree with Kaepernicks decision but as a vet and an American I did and again would fight with my life his right to say it. This is America and we as Americans are a free country with a Constitution that gives us all the same rights. We don't have to like how some people may abuse those rights but they are there for all Americans. Like I said, I don't agree with him but it is his right. I would imagine it will end up destroying his career. If San Francisco releases him I doubt any other team will sign him. He has made a decision and now he must live by it.......................jmho

I have used a couple different brands of ammo over the years. Back then when ammo was less costly I was using Blazer and Monarch and I ordered a bulk supply of Fiocchi FMJ 95 gr and tried a little of it and it performed very well. I 'm glad I was able to get a good stock of 380 ammo before it went through the roof. Good luck with your Bersa. Like I said I have a about 4 Bersa's and love them.

I have one and have fired about 300 rounds through it at the range and never had an issue with mine. I also have a 380 Thunder and have put probably 500+ rounds through it with no issues.

Alright, Which One of You Was in the Co-op Today?
bersaguy replied to gjohnsoniv's topic in Handguns
He will be the first one shot if an armed robbery takes place where he is shopping at. I have no clue why people want to become target # 1 in the event of a armed robbery? I carry every time I walk out my door but I am the only one that will know it if something happens and I need to use my weapon for defense purposes..........jmho -
According to the weather service we are suppose to have some cooler weather this week so son in law is bringing the Skeeter to me to use this week. I'm going to try and fish some on Old Hickory and Percy Priest lakes and see if I can still remember how to fish and drive a bass boat...............

Yea I looked into the cost of Cremations and they average 1 to 3 grand for the most part and I have that put back already for the most part. I also have a friend that is executor to my estate such as it is and he will be handling all of the arrangements I have written down so family will not have to worry about it. He also told me that if there are any outside costs he would cover them and not pit anything on my family. I have told him that if there is any additional costs he knows what I have already told him to dispose of to cover any costs. He is also a gun person, Nuff said on that part. Thanks for the advice folks.so far everyone is thinking along the same lines I am.................

Well, I have been shopping a burial/Cremation insurance policy and I am not having much luck with anything I can afford so thought I would see if someone here might have an idea who I might check out. I have shopped everything that is advertised on TV that is suppose to be affordable and most of them are rip offs in one way or another. All of the ones I looked at don't pay full benefits until your past the 2 year time limit. They will only refund all you paid in unless you are killed in accident. I have a policy that I am going to terminate in September because when I purchased the policy the company didn't have any bad reports and had high ratings. Since my purchase 3 years ago they have gotten a ton of bad reviews of not paying benefits on claims and finding excuses why they should not pay. I would appreciate any ideas anyone here may have. I am at a point right now that I can just keep putting money back and pay for my own cremation and take the burden off any family members. I don't owe any creditors so family will not have to face any of those. Thanks for any advice anyone may have to offer!!!!

In all honesty I think the judge whimped out because they were afraid of riots and BLM showing up in Hendersonville...........jmho

Here locally in Hendersonville a father shot and killed his 11 year old daughter right after coming in from school bus. He tried to convince the police she was shot by someone outside before coming in but no blood was found outside. They arrested him and judge set his bond at 1 million dollars. I cannot believe that people signed a petition to get this guys bond reduced and set up a Go Fund Me account to help raise his bond and the judge was willing and did reduce it to 1/2 half a million. He got bonded out the next day. What is wrong with people that they would think he should get a lower bond after he just committed cold blooded murder of his 11 year old daughter ? He was already a wanted felon and they think this guys bond should be lower????????? I think he should not have been given bond period..........jmho

Cookeville was probably picked because it's an ODD city and does not have a large African American population, these are the kinds of small towns/cities they want to find. Also consider the size of the police presence they would be able to provide would not be adequate should they decide to get rowdy..........................jmho

I have more than I can use up in my lifetime but then I have always had that much even when I was a kid and could buy 50 rounds for 79 cents. I had more than enough to get my when the shortage hit but still bought a little from David and his daughter Sam.

I grew up hunting about anything their was a season for beginning with Squirrel / Dove which were I lived both opened on same day and then went into Rabbit, Pheasant and Quail. Then Duck and Goose season. By age 12 I was a pretty good hunter. I always brought home meat and kept freezer stocked. Now as far as the cooking went that was all left up to my mother and she could make any of it taste great regardless of what she made. When we moved south in 1966 I added deer to my game list and dropped Duck and Goose because of the what I considered stupid blind draw regulations TWRA had. I have not been hunting since 1990 when my health went down hill and I do miss it but still have all my memories of all the good times I had listening to my beagles on trail of a Tennessee cotton tail.

You are correct but I was referring to the standard family edition Soccer Mom mini vans and such as that. The new hot rods I would imagine do require hotter fuels. As far as fuels go back when I was a youngster and driving a real hot rod muscle car which was a 65 Dodge Coronet 426 Hemi I only ran Super Shell 95 octane gas with additive Shell called Platformate(spel?) Anything else would give the Hemi Valve clatter and pinging.

I went through this back in 1998 with my new Skeeter Bass boat. I had always used 93 octane fuel in all my boats for many years. When I bought my new Skeeter with the Yamaha outboard on her I was burning 93 octane for about the first year. One day I got an opportunity to sit sown and speak with a rep from Yamaha USA. I was asking him a few questions and we got off on the discussion of fuels and I told him I was running 93 in mine and he told me I was wasting my money. He asked me if I had tried the 87 octane and I said no. He said my Yamaha would give me the same performance and actually inprove my fuel miliage with 87 as I was getting from 93. Well, I decided one day to see if the guy was right. I ran the Skeeter down to running on fumes and then filled it up with 97 octane. Next trip out the hole shot was just as good and aceleration was same. I made a long run I had made a 100 times to check fuel miliage. I went from Bull Creek in Gallatin to Second Creek in Lebanon on Cumberland River and back pretty much WOT. That trip would normally put the boat on fumes when it went back on the trailer. That day when I put the boat on the trailer I still had 1/4 tank of fuel. Filled the boat up on way home and it cost almost 12.00 bucks less to fill it up. I call that rep and told him he was right about the 87 and asked him ow that was able to happen. He said that back in 1993 Yamaha began building their motors to give peak performance on 87 octane fuels and all of their electronics and onboard computer was programmed to making timing adjustments accordingly to run 87. My Son in law is using boat more than me these days and he is also running 87. The automobile industry is doing the same thing with their new vehicles. They are all programmed for 87 octane fuels.

Well, I have never thought road rage was a reason to shoot someone unless they pulled out a weapon to hurt me but then I would never pull over to get involved in a confrontation to begin with. I do find myself getting flipped off a lot these days than I did years ago and I guess that is because I do drive a little slower than I use to. On 2 lane roads I will drive the posted speed but on 4 lane roads I do drive about 10 miles under posted limit but remain in right lane and have vehicles wizzing by me that I know are doing well over the posted speed. Sometimes that is when folks flip the bird at me after they had to follow me until they could get in fast lane and pass. I am never in a hurry to get anywhere I am going anymore so I just take my time and enjoy the drive.
