It does bring back a memory of my Father that I thought was funny. He would never change the times on his watch becuase he thought it was a stupid idea. When ever someone would ask him what time it was he would look at his watch and then ask them..."your time or mine" they would get this funny look on their face and he would say ok, your time and he would either add or subtract and hour depending on which time of the year it was. He did that for as long as I can remember............

I know exactly were TrekBike is coming from on this one. My old Mutt Kasey has an alarm clock in here stomach that alarms at Breakfast, Supper and Night-Night time. She knows I get up every morning around 8AM and at about 8:15 I am on my way to the coffee pot for first cup and I hear this scratch and light bark at the door. I open the door and give her a Jerky treat, That holds her over tilli get my coffee and Sausage Biscuit I'm having for breakfast. Before I leave the kitchen I make her a bowl of what ever was left over from night before supper and warm it about 20 seconds. when I get back to the door she is waiting for breakfast. I give her breakfast and then I eat mine with coffee. Right at 4:45 PM I get a scratch at the door, if I ignore it I get a much louder almost knock at the door. I open the door and she comes in for her supper. At 8PM she scratches at the door ready for bed. She gets a little snack as a night night snack that she takes into her house and then my night is my own. This time change really messes her up for about a month everytime..................................

According to the news last night with Owner Interview he said that there is little doubt these guys have been in the store more or less casing it out. He said they passed up all the revolvers and lower priced guns and went right for the 1911's and Glocks and certain specific long guns so they had to know everything about the store and knew what to hit in 60 seconds and get gone. I would check my video footage for several days back and see if they can get any idea at all if they have them on video without all the cover clothing they wore in the hit..................JMHO

Back about 6 or 8 years ago I would travel up the Cumberland River to 7 mile Bluff in the late Spring to watch two pairs of Bald Eagles that nested in the Bluffs every year. I would just ride up there and park the boat across from the bluffs and sooer or later the adults would begin gathering food for the babies. They would spend sometimes an hour and even two hours collecting shad from the river. Once in a while they would nail a large Striper and have their claws full trying to get any altitude back up to the nest and several times they would lose the fish. I made that trip for about 5 years and then I went up there about 3 different times in one Spring and they were no longer there. Never saw them again but I sure enjoyed watching those Majestic Birds care for their young. Also had a pair of Ospreys that had a nest on one of the power towers near the Steam Plant and they would fish also but they also foraged on live game, rabbits mostly. I would watch them while I fished and if I caught a junk fish and I was close enough to the bank I would throw it on the bank under the tower if there was a bird on the nest. If the fish flopped around more than a couple times it was food. They are not bashful at all to a free or easy meal...................

I watched the game last night and for the life of me will never undertsand why the Cubs manager left starting pitcher Lacey in the game after they began pounding him in the 2nd inning. I think that cost them the game. Thats like leaving a Quarterback in a game after he has fumbled the ball 5 times and threw 5 interceptions in same ouarter...........jmho

This seems to where it is becoming a trend with driving a vehicle through the front of a gun store. I truly hope they catch the A$$ $oles that did this and I truly hope David and family did not lose much of any value..............

I quit eating at Arby's about a year ago when they began that "we have the meat ad". I went in there to get a few plain Beef and cheddar sandwiches and a bag of fries and it cost me 20 bucks for the plain old fashion sandwiches without the extra meat option and the sandwiches didn't have extra meat.......................

I have been threatening to gve up my Marlboro's for about 6 months but has not worked yet. I'm 68 years old and been smoking 58 years. Doctor actually told me quiting at my age with my health and smoking that long might just kill me. I looked at her and laughed and told her that was exactly what I have been thinking......................

I bet there is only maybe one or two people here besides me that might know what was planned on the day Jane Fonda was giving here little speech in Hanoi Square. The United States Air Force made plans to do a bombing run on Hanoi Square in hopes of killing her. On the day of the mission they learned that she was going to be with our POW's and not in the Square as thought so they had to alter the mission. It was still done but they hit Hanoi Square and during the bombing an old lady gave Jane Fonda her place in a bomb shelter to protect her. I think it was made public about the bombing of Hanoi but was never made public that Hanoi Jane was the target................Sorry they missed.........................

About 5 or 6 years back they caught a bunch of convicts doing life or extremely long prison sentences had gained a way of getting peoples credit information with hacking on prison computers and they were buying and having all kinds of stuff like TV's and stero's and other high end things like clothes sent to them while in prison. I don't know what ever came of it except they were caught. Really nothing they could do to them except take the stuff away they bought. A guy doing life without parole dont care if they give him another 100 years. This might be another case similar to that one...............jmho

I grew up in Chicago and have always liked both teams but moved south in 1967 and there is nothing on Earth that could make me want to go back to Chicago. Not even if they win. 600 Addison Avenue is one of the most dangerous places to go in that city...............

Cruise is a known anti. I will not add to his bank account either. Yep he is anti gun to the public when asked but you can bet he owns more than a few guns I would guess. Also he is a person that uses something he is suppose to be against which is guns to make millions off in his movies. I won't be contributing a dime to his pocket................jmho

Just my Humble opinion I don't think it will pass because of all the money being made by the state on permit purchases and renewals. I don't think the Governor would sign it if it did make it to his desk......JMHO

I quite watching Cruise movies also so won't be watching it either.............jmho

5 boxes of Super X 12 gauge 3 inch magnum in BB loads........... -
I read a lot about different trigger pulls on many of these smaller semi's and I have often wondered something. We all carry a firearm for protection of ourselves and family or others. The way I look at this is "IF" and I mean "IF" anyone one here ever hand to actually use the gun mentioned here or the LCP 380's or S&W Bodyguards or any guns of this design and we actually did have to fire the weapon at what level would your adrenalin be pumping and do you actually feeling you would not pull the trigger so fast that the long trigger pull would have any effect on you discharging the weapon. I carry a select number of Bersa Semi autos which are designed to fire in a single action / double action operation. If the Bersa hammer is cocked and locked when safety is released it is automatic. If the hammer is unloaded and I have to do a long trigger pull for first round and I knew I was going to be forced to fire my weapon I honestly believe my first round would leave the gun in a split second even on a long trigger pull but that is just my humble opinion. Would like to hear other thoughts on this.

Ya'll will probably get a smile out of this but I own a Phoenix HP22A semi auto and I love it. I liked it so much when my daughter wanted a gun to plink with around their house in the yard I loaned her that and had to buy another cause she didn't want to give it back. So far she had managed to kill 3 opposums that kept getting it the trash and a few chicken snakes because they have chickens and shot at 1 Fox that was trying to get in the hen house and not sure if she hit it or not but it yelped and ran off and has not been back. I know some folks don't like them because of the safety factors of having what some say is to many. I have learned how to work around that. They hold 10 rounds in magazine and one in the tube. They will shoot about any brand ammo with no issues. Last one I bought I gave about $139.00 for and came with 1 extra magazine. Took it to the range when I first got it and was very surprised at how accurate the little gun is. I throw it in my pocket for quick trips to the store or when I walk to the mail box of just walking around the yard. Never use to do that but in last year several folks around my neighborhood have been robbed at knife point while cutting their yards and one guy was robbed while grilling out about a block from my house. If I am going to be robbed by a guy with a knife he will still be here when the police arrive. Bleeding or not will be up to him but he will be here.

Thanks Raoul. I have been thinking about taking Daughter and Tommy (son in law) up on an invite this season. Like you said, time waits for no one. It will do one or two things by going. It will get me passed what I have held back for 20 years or confirm that I just won't get back on the football horse again...................

Thank you all for those kind words. I have been wanting to talk about that part of my life for sometime. I just never found the right time or way to do it until I read this thread and I knew this was my opportunity to. I guess some folks might call it vent but to me it is more of a relief to talk about it. I know about every one here can probably share a similar part of their lives. You just have to have that spark that opens the door and this was my spark.........Again thank all of you for your kind words. I still miss her 20 years later like it was yesterday!

I use to be a football freak and my wife was worse than I was. We seldom ever missed a Ttans game or Vols game. Wife had house decorated in football stuff everywhere. When I lost here to a heartattack I lost my love of football also. I will only watch a game now if there is absolutely nothing else on TV worth watching. I tried to get back into it about a year after she passed and it was just not the same. I was glad I got to make one of her biggest dreams come true just before losing her. She had always said that before she died she wanted to actually go to a Vols game. I knew a buddy of mine that had season tickets every year and great seats and he also owns a Charlet in Gatlinberg. He let me use the Charlet for a weekend and his season passes. I told my wife that wednesday before the game that we were going to Gatlinburg for the weekend as she loved it up there. She got all excited and of course packed all her Tennessee Vols outfits to wear in Gatlinburg. We arrived in the Charlet on Frday night. Great view and hot tub on the deck. Spent the evening relaxing in the tub. I woke erly so I could sevrve her breakfast in Bed. On her breakfast tray under her napkins were the two passes. I was down stairs when I heard the screams and she came running down the stairs and wrapped her self around me. It was the opening game of 1997 season and the first season after they had enlarged the Stadium. I can't even remember who Tennesse was playing that night but they killed the opposing team. I cannot believe all the stuff she bought at the stadium but I know my credit card took a heck of a hit and it about filled the trunk of the car. Now with that said I lost her suddenly to a heart attack in October 1997 just about a month after the Tennessee Game and I would give all I own to have her back but to this day I will never forget that one dream i made come true for her. Like I said I have tried to get back into the game but does not work. Her daughter and my Son In law are about like she was about the Vols so I gave her all the stuff her mother had decorating the house and now their house is decorated all up. They have invited me to come and watch some games with them. I did manage a few back years ago. They don't ask anymore mostly because they know I won't come but I know I am always welcome should I decide to go..............Sorry for the long post but have been needing to talk about this for sometime and this thread seemed like a place I could do it.....................

I have always believed that it was Country & Western music and over the years I have not listened to any where near what I did when I was 16. Country Music is like everything else. It got old. Not the music but the performers. I bet you can count all of the original Country performers of the old music on two hands that are still alive and I don't believe maybe one or two of them have performed in many years. The younger generation like this new type of Country just like us old geezers enjoyed the days of Roy Acuff, George Jones and Merle Haggard. I don't find anything wrong with that. It's like I said earler Our Country Music just got older but if you still have any of their music on tapes, records or DVD's. They are still very much alive in our hearts........jmho

"QUOTE" Sure it’s possible but with the recent SCOTUS rulings, unlikely. It's unlikely at present time but if Hildebeast gets elected and begins appointing Supreme Court Justices how much longer will the original decisions hold up might be a question to think about..........................jmho
