Back when I was youngster before we moved south in 67 we lived in a small town with 1 grocery store family owned. They would have beef hearts sometimes in the meat case and most folks didn't buy it but my Mother bought about all that was in the case every time. She would make killer Hearts and dressing. The hearts were always cleaned up and ready to cook so since she was feeding 4 growing boys and my father a big roaster of Heart slices on a bed of dressing more than fed all of us. We all loved it. We all ate Beef Liver and Onions while growing up and we all loved that also. As far as deer Hearts and Liver, when we moved down here and I began hunting deer I always save both and when I brought the deer home cut up in sections and my mother would bone the meat and make meat cut portions of what she could and then grind the rest into burger. She would freeze the hearts and Livers till we had about 3 and then she would make the Hearts and dressing or Liver and Onions from the deer parts and it also tasted great. While growing up in middle Illinois we did eat a lot of wild game also cause I hunted Squirrels, Doves, Pheasants, Quail, Ducks and Rabbits and would always limit. My hunting buddy had great bird dogs and I had great Beagles and we had 2 huge farms we were allowed to hunt. My buddy still lives up there but because of all the gun regulations up that way hunting has even become a major gun issue that it never use to be when I lived up there but then it is Illinois..........

If the price of meat keeps going up I will be forced to either hunt my own again or become a vegeitaritian. Iabout the only time I buy meat these days is if I catch it in a mark down butcher sale at Krogers and then have to take what is offered between Pork or Beef or do without. The only up side is I do have almost 3 deer in the freezer thanks to my son and grandsons. Made some deer chili the other night................

I drink 2/3 cups of coffee when I first wake up. Then I switch the Nestles fruit Flavored bottled water and that is all I drink until I get ready for bed. I also keep a bottle of water on the night stand. I buy it at Sam's by the case and buy 5 cases a month.

I know there are some of ya'll that know I make hand poured Soft Plastic Baits. If anyone would be interested in seeing what I make I will post some pictures. Thanks!!

+1 I have not seen a real price increase for milk I buy in so long I don't remember the last one. I normally pay about $2.59 a gallon which is what I have been paying for it in last 4 or 5 years. They can keep their 5 bucks as far as I'm concerned.........JMHO

I think I can say chalk up another one up for the good guys and I do agree with Chuck on the issue of giving a person a second chance as long as they don't have a wrap sheet that reads like the classifieds in a news paper. Evidently this man made 1 mistake so yea. He deserved a second chance to be a fully productive person in society.............jmho

I lived on Shacklett drive in Donelson for about 10 years and the first 2 years sleeping was very much an issue since I was the last house on a dead end street and the north runway glidepath and take of path was exactly 70 yards from my house. In my 3rd year they passed an ordinance that required the Airport to soundproof every house in my neighborhood. They did a good job. After that you could not hear any planes coming or going. Eventually the airport purchased every house in that whole neighborhood and I think they tore most of them down. Have not been back there since I moved.

If you know of anyone that has a model 85 that might be looking for an extra mag it is easy enough to get. The new Double stack 380 magazines they are making work great with a little tweaking. Just buy one andtake it to about any local gunsmith and they can alter the notch just enough that they will work just great in the model 85's. I have tried about 200 rounds through the 3 I had altered and they work just as good as the factory mag that came with the 85 originally.

And all this time I thought elephants were on the protected species list and not allow to be hunted................ Nice looking table decoration for sure. So when do you go to a the range with your new toy?

I knew when I trimmed my big motor up and then stood up and tried to rock the boat that it would require more than me pushing when the boat never moved when I tried to rock it.............lol

Don't feel bad buddy, I have fished Old Hickory for about 30 years and can pretty much go anyhwere I want to but about 6 years ago I was running up stream just past the warm water discharge channel and not paying enough attention in the fog that morning and I drove my Skeeter about 30 feet up on a mud flat betwen those 2 islands. Lucky it was all mud cause I was clicking about 60MPH when I went mudding. I called a buddy of mine and it took him and another buddy with both boats both sporting 250 hp motors and 5 broken ropes to pull me off that flat. I still think about that day every time I run past that flat and remember how stupid I was cause I knew better and just got careless 1 time and 1 time is all it takes...........lol As far as not knowing how to get into the steam plant channel even as well and I know it there use to be a small island on the down stream point of the mouth of that channel as you turned into the channel. With all the high water the earth part of the island is gone but the rock part of it is only about 1.5 feet below the surface. Even like I said, as well as I know that area I shut down on main channel and go it on trolling motor now so I don't tear something up.

Yea, the model 85 was the first one that went to the 15 round magazines. I got the gun on a fluke deal. I had a S&W 380 Body Guard that a buddy of mine wanted so bad it hurt. He had the 85 that I wanted so bad it hurt. So he showed up on day and had it with him and the swap was made. Believe me finding a back up magazine for it was vertually impossible. I finally got 3 but had to get a little inventive. I really think you will like the gun after you have put some rounds down range with it. if you decide it is not for you let me know and I will take it off your hands if the price is right.

I guess you can tell by my screen name I am partial to Bersa's. I have a Thunder 380 and a Model 85 and love both of them. I know many people don't think a 380 caliber is a hot enough round but I would not want to find out if it is or not. I think once you put a few mags through it you will like it. I like the wood.

I had a buddy loose a lower unit the other day and another one hit some rocks on a place he always fishes and did extensive damage to his keel and had to put his boat in a friend of mines boat repair center. He is having the keel repaired and having my friend install a heavy duty Hamby Keel protector on it. Folks need to be careful on the lakes that are in draw down for sure and always wear life jackets and hook up those kill switches. It is always wise to check lake levels before going on the water...........jmho

I have not been greg but I do know of several other anglers that have been catching numbers of them. One guy brought 45 home with him about a week ago. They are being attracted to that warm water. If you go up there be careful of the under water rocks and boulders around the entrance to the warm water discharge channel once you leave the main channel. Good luck if you go!!..................

If not mistaken there was 1 time that Donald did pull out his gun and show it to the press during a discussion at a press conference and I think hepulled out a single action Colt 45 and showed it to the press. Rather it was just for show or not I don't know but that is what he was packing that day.................

That happened to me once also. I was going to the courthouse for my divorce and my lawyer walked through metal detector and I hesitated. I looked at my attorney and he knew right away what was happening. He explained to the Dupties at the gate what was going on. They just told me to take it back and lock it in my vehicle and come back in. I did and went right through....................one of those moments.

I did some research into PETA about 12 years ago when they went after the Fishing Industry with people dressed up as fish standing on street corners when ever a Big bass tournament was in that town. I learned that 85% of the funds that were being donated to PETA was going to just 4 paid excutives and the rest went to the animals. All those folks dressed up in the different fish costumes and other animal costumes were all volunteers and got paid nothing. The year I did the research PETA had collected over 3.8 Million dollars so those 4 top exec's were making some big bucks for doing nothing except reeking havoc with anything they could find to protest...............

My parents took all four of us boys to the Circus when were were all in grade school at the International Ampitheater in Chicago. I took my boys when it came to Nashville and my grandchildren have all been. I think the elephants are already gone. The animals in the Circus were well better taken care of than the animals used in Hollywood but the Animal Rights Activists don't dare say a word to the Hollywood elites...................

Well considering I am computer illterate for the most part most of this thread is greek to me. I use an old desk top computer that a buddy of mine built for me about 3 years ago and he recomended I sign up wit AT&T for my internet service so I went to AT&T store and ask them what they would recomend for what I was wanting to do. I told them I wanted to be able to surf the web and get on sites like TGO and do other things. The AT&T rep suggested I sign up for Go Phone service with them. I did and paid 105.00 for the equipment to plug into my tower and I got 5 GB of service for $50.00 a month and I am on the computer and on line doing everything I want to do and have never ran 5GB's yet. I just looked at how much I have used this month and it renews in 6 days and I still have only use 3.7GB. I have never had an issues in almost 3 years. Now as far as Comcast. I do have TV service with them and I have 3TV's. One has the big box. 1 has the small box and the other one is on a splitter and what ever is on the main TV is also on the Splitter TV so I can watch what ever I want on my Digital Starter package. Pretty much everything I want to watch. Now I do have to fight with them every year when I get my price increase. I was paying $81.50 for the last year. Got my new bill and they went up to $88.75. I was on the phone and talking with a rep about the increase. When I got off the phone My bill was credited bakc to $81.50 and for the next year it will be $76.97. She put me on another Promotional package for another year. The secret to fighting them is to by-pass the regular customer service clowns and go directly to the people that have to clout to actually do things.. When I call, if I get a person that does not speak clear english I request a person that speaks clear english and I am transfered to what they call the Retention department. They are the ones with the clout. I will post the number below that will connect you drectly wih the retention representatives. Lady I ended up speaking with was located in Michigan. See number 1-800-934-6489. If you get anyone that does not speak english request one and they will put you with someone that can actually help solve your problems...............hope this helps.

Mine started on the Sunday before Christmas. Woke up with scratchy throat, and runny nose, Took some antibiodics and got neighbor that was going out to get me a few boxes of Kleenix. Woke up Monday morning and it had spread to my chest which was burning and cough got worse so cough Pearls began to be required. Never a fever at all. Never stayed in bed and did not really feel all that bad after a couple days seemed to be about over everything except the extreme runny nose and nagging productive cough. I'm keeping Kleenx in business as I have gone through no less than 15 boxes since Christmas and still have boxes all over the house and will need more soon. I did get a flu shot and don't think I had the flu, Just a bad cold.............
