  1. I was in error when I posted that 18 bad guys were killed. It was actually 36. I first heard 18 but since then that number has doubled...........
  2. Happy Easter to all the folks and their families here on TGO. I hope everyone is Blessed with family and friends on this very Special Day.
  3. Does anyone here know of a Flea Market booth operator that operates big time and does not just dabble in stuff. Reason I am asking is I might end up taking BT's Jig making business apart and selling it off in pieces if I don't find someone interested in getting into making jigs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks bersaguy
  4. I heard on the news that the bomb killed 18 Bad guys and closed up 3 of the caves they have been using. Way I figure it I wish it would have killed 500 BG's and still would not make up for the 1 Green Beret that was killed in the battle for the caves.........jmho
  5. I don't want to post a classified ad if there is no interests in this. Most here know I lost a very good friend last month and I have his boat on here for sale. He also owned a jig building business making fishing jigs. It is also going up for sale but don't want to take up a bunch of space posting pictures if there is no interests in it. It is a full service jig making business and has a very large inventory of all material in which to build Jigs. This is a turn key operation once it is moved and set up. If anyone is interested please PM me. Other wise I will not be placing pictures on the site. Thanks Bersaguy
  6. With that type of bomb the destruction is the O2 that it sucks out of the caves and kills anyone in the caves with out really doing a large amount of material damage exept maybe close the cave entrances. It would not have done much damage to the air base and by using the Cruise Missiles they could take out specific targets and not harm other such as the Russian Helicopters that were parked at the far side of the airbase that were not damaged. Don't want to upset the Bear....................
  7. The Daisy Cutters were very similar but the Daisy Cutter was designed to detonate just before striking the ground and the blast would destroy every thing in it's path for about 1 mile in every direction. They used them to clear out places in the jungles for Huey's to have an LZ where there was not one 3 hours earlier. Yea they did kill everything that was soft such as enemy soldiers which was plus. From what I gather with this MOAB it sucks all the oxygen out of the tunnels and caves actually suffocating any enemy soldiers in them. I figure once the Leftist realizes what the bomb does they will be up in arms and screaming it's Inhumane and should not be used even though they are killing savages that cuts peoples heads off............jmho
  8. All I can say to that is wear a lifejacket when you pull the trigger................
  9. I have sat and talked with Game Wardens while on the lake when they approached my boat to check registration and all safety equipment and fishing license. I had one of my Bersa's on my hip and they never said a word about it or me being armed while on the water. They ask if the fish were biting and other casual stuff while checking my papers and then told me to have a nice day and moved on.
  10. Thanks OS. I think I did hear it on the news one night that a law had been passed allowing firearms carried while in a boat but would like to confirm it even though I never put my boat in any lake without a heater on my hip. Boat ramps can be a dangerous place, especially at night. About 3 years ago there was a fisherman killed at the Mona boat ramp in Smyrna while in broad daylight as he was going up to get his truck and trailer and load his boat and his daughter was down in the boat when they killed him. They said several vehicles had been broken into and the police think he may have stumbled up on the thieves while they were stealing stuff. Bad guys have never been caught to this day. I do a lot of night fishing on area lakes and never alone and I do make sure I light up the entire parking area with my boat headlamps before I drop my partner at the dock to get the tow vehicle. That person is also armed and I sit right by the dock till he has the trailer backed in for loading.
  11. Did I read or hear something pertaining to being able to now carry firearms in boats in Tennessee on lakes and rivers or did I just dream it. I have always done it but I think I heard or or read where it was not legal to do so. Can anyone verify that for me? Thanks Bersaguy
  12. I'm sure United could have handled this entire matter differently but they screwed up big time. There are many alternatives to getting their flight crew 295 miles to a new location without disturbing paying customers like they did. Several alternatives have already been mentioned. United could have checked other airlines for flights going to same location and put them on another company's plane that was not over booked. I'm sure any other airline would have been more than glad to help out..........jmho
  13. +1 on Sam Hoster in Gallatin. He does all my work and the work of many of my friends. http://www.customdefensellc.com/gunsmithing.htm
  14. That is what I recommended to him and his biggest issue was FMJ verses Hollowpoint for carry ammo. I recommended if he wants something to knock someone off their feet go with Federal Hydra-Shok's. Less chance of threw and threw and injuring an innocent person behind the bad guy at close range.
  15. I had a buddy of mines wife buy him a Glock23 40 cal for his birthday and he is wanting to know what would be the best ammo for it. He had one person tell him 165 gr but I wanted to get the best info for him so I came here to the best place to find out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bersaguy
  16. Yea, I know, my son lives out that way and he tells me all the time about them and yea Gallatin seems to miss a lot of the storms but have been hit a few times with Twisters. I think because we are close to the Plateau that most storms break up before they get here.........jmho
  17. Maybe it's just me but I have never seen hail that was shaped like ice cubes from an ice maker before....................
  18. Very Sorry to hear this and my condolences to all of you at Sumner and his family..........
  19. I don't have a Bond Gun but I do have several 380 caliber weapons and I feel quite secure while I am packing any one of them. Like has been mentioned several times. Bullet placement is what really counts when talking about self defense and I feel that the first 1 or 2 rounds from any of my 380's placed properly will be sufficent to stop a threat or at least make it safe for me to either consider placing more or discouraging the threat from wanted to continue...........jmho
  20. Is this all not typical government mumbo jumbo without any factual definition of the law. If the laws are not going to be enforced remove the damn cameras and the problem is fixed. All the politicians are doing to what they always do and that is write laws that keep folks confused and jumping through hoops and never fixing anything...........jmho
  21. If there is one thing I have learned over my 69 years it is never call any company that has the word BUDGET in it's name. They are referring to their BUDGET and not yours....................
  22. Glad to hear they are still stocking the creeks. I think one of the others was Hurricane Creek. Only issue I had about fishing down there is the locals didn't much like folks parking near their property and gaining access to the creek back then could be hard. I also learned that when the locals learned that the trout were put in they would get their seine nets out and stretch them across the creeks and drive the fish into the nets. They would have lookouts on all the roads going along Mill Creek and if the wardens showed up them and their nets would dissappear into the woods. I got to see them doing it one time and glad they didn't see me. Back then there we no cell phones and of course I was never armed back then. Don't know if the locals still do that or not since the TWRA now has drones they can use to watch the creeks for stuff like that...................
  23. I dont know if they still do or not but back in the late 70's early 80's TWRA use to stock several wading creeks in Hickman County (Mill Creek in Wrighley) every year and I would go down there and take a limit a couple times and have a Trout fry with a few friends. Have not been back since I got my first Bass Boat if that tells ya'll anything. Bass Fishing is an addiction and I quit competing back in 2012 but still experience withdrawls and will float the Skeeter and just go and compete against the fish. I guess I am somewhat rusty cause the last few outings the Bass have won out........
  24. Gosh Raoul, your really cutting the guy a lot of slack. I can think of a lot of things better than dumbass...........
  25. My Son in law is into fly fishing and he catches a lot of trout on the Caney river in Carthage. Well, let me rephrase that. He use to love fly fishing a lot. Then I introduced him into bass fishing and my daughter has told me I ruined her husband andshe never gets trout for supper any more. She says he's alway bass fishing and releasing them back in the lake............
