I hope you enjoy fishing KY lake for sure. There are a couple places to fish just out side Paris Landing. If you turn right and head towards the bridge you will see a few rocky points that drop off fairly fast into deep water. I have taken some nice Smallmouths off those point with a spinnerbait. The Bridge pillons will also hold some fish but the boat traffic is going to be very bad through that stretch. I have not been on that lake in about 15 years and last time on it was Memorial Day weekend to Fish a 2 day tournament event out of KY lake Dam Launch. Worst mistake of my life. It was like trying to fish in a washing machine on wash cycle continously. Many boats came back to weigh in with damage to them. The only damage I had was bruised Kidneys and no boat damage. I think everyone that had anything related to a boat was on the water that weekend and the big cruisers had no mercy on any one fishing or trying to fish. Just be careful and enjoy the weekend. My boat will be staying in the carport this weekend. I have had a few buddies ask me if I was going out on Old Hickory and I just smiled and said it's gonna rain and I might melt. They got the hint.........

I buy mine at Flippers Bait and Tackle or Poindexters baits Shop both in Gallatin but they are sold all over on line. I just buy them here locally to keep local small businesses operating. Hope this helps

I use to use minnows all the time for Crappie fish untilta buddy of mine took me one time. I asked him if we were going to stop and get minnows and he said, nope, don't need any. When were got to where we were going to fish he handed me a rod already rigged and it had a Crappie tube bait on it in Black body with chartreuese tails and I no more than got it down in the brush pile before I had a big fat Crappie on. We both caught our limits in keepers in about 1 1/2 hours. Caught a bunch of fish. If they quit biting one color you switched to another. The one I caught most on was the Red Body with Chartruese tails. If you have never tried them you might want to give the a try. You can catch about 8 or 10 fish on 1 tube..............

The secret to keeping your traps is the put them out after dark and get them bfore daylight. I use to have that same problem and going while still dark helped me fix my problem. It's either that or put the trap out and baby sit it till you have enough to go fishing.

After reading the news release it almost sounds like it was a deal made between them for the guy to take his car so he could collect the insurance money on it or get ou of paying for it with insurance paying it off for him. I have heard of that happening a few times but they always got caught in insurance fraud sooner or later............jmho

I have gone a few times to purchase a firearm in a public place alone but it was always a TGO member in good standings. If I was meeting someone not a TGO member I never went alone but had an armed friend with me to watch everything going on.

This is my sweetheart Bersa model 85. I really ejoy going to the range with this baby.

I just went and looked at Buds and they have 2 on the first page of the Bersa section. Blue is $270.00 and Nickel is $313.00 so I guess they are still making the CC's.

I'm looking at buying a Bersa Thunder Plus soon. Not a need but just a want. I like the idea of the 15 round magazine verses the 8 round. I guess my model 85 spoiled me. I will keep my Thunder 8 round for ever since it was my first gun I bought after getting my CCW permit and I carried it a long time and still do depending on where I might be going. I can't say nothing bad about Bersa's..............jmho

There are tons of critters that I deem either worthless or even worse a real problem but I also realized a long time back that we are stuck with them for better or for worse so all we can do is try to avoid them as much as possible............jmho

The bumble bee is an important, beneficial insect. They pollinate plants and flowers as they forage for food. To gardeners, it is a welcome sight to see these large, flying insects carrying large loads of pollen, flying into and around their flower beds and gardens. I had to look up the Bumble Bees to be sure of what I had been told as kid learning about things on the farm growing up. Grand father told me they did good things and looks like he was correct. I am sure Carpenter Bees that look like Bumble Bees also have no positive purpose other than to being annoying and doing damage to your house eves and out buildings. Of course we all know that honey Bees produce honey that most everyone enjoys on hot biscuits or toast and even in coffee and tea so they are very useful. Now for the Yellow Jacket I think God put them on Earth as a lesson for stupid people and people that do not pay attention to their surroundings. I was guilty of that as I have dealt with them several times while growing up living on the farm and it was not a good experience for me or them. They got me and I got them. Other than that I see no postive reason for them being on earth. They are just 1 of many of GODS creatures that has yet to prove a positive value............JMHO

People who have never taken the time to study them of at least learn about them just thing they are just another bug that might sting them. The last thing a bee wants to do is that. All they want to do is work and go home. They are actually very smart........JMHO

Heck with all the other possible listening devices that is already in my home I darn sure don't need to add another. I still think the Feds can listen to what you say in the Cable boxes on tv's and possibly even these new flat screen TV's so not interested in adding any more. .............JMHO

Back years ago in 1967 when I was moved down here by my parents on Saturday nights when weather was clear we would park up on a hill and could get WLS on the radio here in Tennessee. They were running running 100,000 watts of power at WLS and use to brag about the power they had to reach out and touch folks.........

Female cardinal banging on my window... how to stop?
bersaguy replied to jgradyc's topic in General Chat
My daughter had the same problem with 2 cardinals that keep pecking on her bedroom window every morning. She had tried several different ways to stop them but nothing has worked and finally I told her to put a good size mirror in the window so they could see their reflections and it stopped them. This might work in your house but have no clue how to stop the car windshield issue. -
Have you tried Volunteer State Chevy Parts in Greenbrier Tennessee to see if they might have a motor mount for your Chevy? (615) 643-4583

You are dead on about the hunting in Illinois. I grew up in Illinois the 1st 17 years of my life and was born there. That was before they reopened the deer season so I never got to hnt them but I hunted any and all small game they had a season for which began with Squirrel and Dove in September and then hunter Rabbit and Ducks, Geese, woodcock, and from age 10 till we moved to Tennessee at age 17 I kept our freezers full of fresh wild game and in summer I filled them with fish. I have a friend that I grew up with and did all my hunting and fishing with and he said the laws have become so that it is almost impossible for anyone even living in the state to jump through the hoops just to be able to hunt. -
I think when I think about the Rich and Greedy I look at the large corporations a lot more that I do the small business owners. The last job I held before going into retirement do to health issues I was employed in a Mom and Pop operation that had probably 25 employees. I worked for them for almost 12 years and it was the best paying job I ever had that also included paid family insurance and vacations. The reason I made such a great income for those 12 years was because the Mom and Pop went out of their way to make sure they took care of their employees by having a Profit Sharing Program and each month everyone got a bonus check along with their weekly wages. I have heard of a few large corporations that at one time did offer programs similar to that but I have not heard about any of them in years. It is hard to find any large corporations that want to pay anything except the bare minimum they can get away with and have just about stopped offering any benefits. Now with all of this said. I think President Trump wants to bring jobs back on shore is a good thing but my concern is are there going to be any real Americans willing to accept the jobs that come back? I think filling the jobs may be as hard as getting them back on shore or maybe even harder unless the companies are willing to give people a reason to come to work for them. I don't see minimum wages offered getting it done.................jmho

I would make a trip to the Mt Juliet Court building or police department and get the answers to these questions before you get warrants out for you. It gets ugly then.......jmho
