Well, I'm just an old Redneck with a very conservative and very old High School education so not even going to attempt to get involved in this..............

I have not received any email notices on anything since this new program went into effect except the one telling me my benefactor membership was about to expire.

Since I don't get out as much as I use to and seldom out of Sumner County & Wilson County can anyone give me a few places that the law has changed for the good. Might give me more of an incentive to get out a little more. Thanks!

Are you completely happy with your pistol choice?
bersaguy replied to DWARREN123's topic in Handguns
I like my Bersa Thunder and my Model 85 a lot and my only want now is a Bersa Thunder Plus. I like the idea of have 15 rounds instead of 7 and I guess my Model 85 spoiled me on that idea. If I run up on a Thunder Plus at a price I can afford I will probably buy it..............JMHO -
Do you NEED to store food for 40 years?
bersaguy replied to AmPaTerry's topic in Survival and Preparedness
At my age and in my health I have to give thought each month about buying a months worth of groceries at a time. I do normally buy a month worth at a time when I go shopping. I do have a closet full of long storage stuff like Ramen Noodles in both flavors. I probably have 15 cases of them. My dog like them too but likes the chicken best so have more of those. Got probably a case of cannedTuna which I rotate every 2 months along with the canned Chicken from Sama that is dated. I rotate that before the expiration date. Probably 20lbs of coffee and about 30 cases of water and I add to that every month but I do use some of it each month also. Makes better coffee than tap water does. I buy it in 20 oz bottle cases and also buy some gallons for my coffee ever so often. Beanee Weinies buy the case, Vienna's buy the case. I can't remember all that I have in that closet but I do keep a list inside the door with an inventory. I figure it would get me through till either SHTF was over or I was dead or both. -
Me too!

I do hope everyone will take a few minutes out of their busy schedules and spend a few minutes remembering what they weekend represents. Thanks Bersaguy

Glad I could help. Hope you can find an auto dimmer at salvage yard and that is probably why the dealer wanted 400 bucks to do a 30 minute job. They were adding the price of a new mirror probably.
-
Does it have the auto dimming feature on the mirror? If so this article may help some. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mercedes-SLK230/102-INTERIOR-Rearview_Mirror_Removal/102-INTERIOR-Rearview_Mirror_Removal.htm

When weather permits me to go fishing I have at least two shakey heads tied on but with the bait caster reels I use. I can throw a Shakey head about as far as most folks can on a spinning outfit. I'm not trying to brag or anything like that. I cast and fish unweigthed Flukes all the time also. Now with that said, before my rotator cuffs in my shoulders wore out I flipped with my left hand and didn't have to change hands cause flipping and pitching doesn't require distance as much as accuracy to your target. Now with that said, back in the day when I fished a lot, like 5 + days a week almost every week I learned how to do a lot of things that many anglers never thought about doing. Some worked and some didn't but I was always experimenting...........lol

Well, I have never had an issue with hook sets because if you think about it when yo are fishing normally you have both hands on the rod right at the reel for hook sets. As far as spinning reels go if I needed you use one I would have to borrow one because I don't own one. They are alright for some folks but I'm not one of them.......

Back before I began usng the tubes I had my minnow keeper very similar to what your talking about. I had a cooler that I coverted into a minnow keeper and when I went to get minnows for the next morning I would get them in a 5 gallon pail and the bait shop would put some extra water in the bucket. I would then buy a bag of crushed Ice which is made with distilled water in most cases. I would come home and put the air tube through the hole I drilled in the top and put the stone on it and dump the water and minnows in it. Then plug up the aquarium pump and add some ice to keep the water cool. Next morning I would have crisp and lively minnows ready to go fishing.....................

Really it's what you get use to doing and once you do it is like automatic and done in such a non thought action you don't notice your doing it. After you have done it for 40+ years it's like well oiled machine................
-
Well I'm one of those guys that casts right handed and reels right handed so I have to change hands after each cast..............
-
That is not bizarre at all. That is how most south paws fish. My son in law fishes exactly the same way you do and catches a ton of bass when we fish together. He also is right ahnded but prefers to reel left handed. I am going to send you a PM if you would be interested in improving your reel options.
-
So you cast right handed but reel left handed?
-
Penn is a great salt water reel but they have never made a fresh water reel that is truly designed for fresh water bass fishing. By any chance are you left handed?

J. Percy Priest lake is one that can jump up and bite you very quick if you don't know where your running. There are many rock piles, humps and very long points of rock that when not at full Summer pool can put a hurting on you quick. I have been fishing that lake about 20 years and on and never hit anything but it is because during Winter pool I also use to visit the lake and I got to see all of the dangerous stuff when it was out of the water during draw down. Back before the GPS units to mark those dangers I made videos in the winter time and marked them on aTopo map for future references. Old hickory is far more forgiving becasue of far less rock but still a big stump can do some serious damage and there are a lot of stumps that are nice to know where they are at also.

What kind of bait caster reels do you have? A lot of using a bait casting reel is the quality of the reel. There are some out there that even the best experienced anglers cannot make them work like they are suppose to.

Another terrorist attack- rhetoric remains the same
bersaguy replied to White Goodman's topic in General Chat
I doubt there will be anything done here to change how we are doing things. Trump made an attempt to try and do something but was shut down by Liberal courts. I don't think it would have prevented anything that is going to happen that may be in the plans of the terrorists but at least it was an attempt to put something on the burners for the terrorist to think about. Now with the courts seemingly on the side of the terrorists they know they still can enter as they want to into this country. As for stopping anything from happening, we saw a good example of how things don't work in San Bernadino when the neighbor of the bad guys suspected something but was afraid to bring it to the attention of authorities for fear of racial profiling. That proves that the statement IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING does not work...........JMHO -
Maybe the gun talk has slowed some because the democrats are no longer in power and some folks feel the pressure is off firearms and civilians. I myself have not been in a market to purchase another gun as I am of a conclusion at present time I have all I need. I do want one more but it is a want and not a need. I want a BersaThunder Plus and if I find a deal on one I might drop a few bucks to get it but not going out of my way to find one............JMHO

There has ben times I have had to change colors of tubes on a single trip to keep catching fish. I think the angle of the sun changes the color of the tubes and can turn the fish off to one that is working. I have an assortment of about 12 different colors to work with when I go. Water color also has an effect on what color tubes to use................

Hope your dog house is big and comfy and the dog does not mind sharing. Your lucky it is going to be cool next few days unless Dog house has A/C....................

Back when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago I was a Black Hawk fan but lost interest in Hockey when we moved south since Hockey back then was considered a cold weather sport so most teams were in colder climates. When the Preds first came to Nashville I was a little shy about whether they would last or not but they have hung tough and put all my doubts to rest over tha past few years and I was actually thrilled when they kicked to Dookie out of my old Hawks and moved on. I hope they bring the Cup to Tennessee for sure............

If he is going shell cracker fishing he will have a blast if he finds a bed of them for sure. Over the years I have found that I enjoy eating Shell Crackers more than Crappie. The big ones had a lot more meat on them when you filet them. When I go for them I take light or ultra light tackle and make it more challenging..........lol
