Rest in Peace Gregg Allman.................
-
In all honesty it is not really an issue for me. In the morning with coffee I check my emails and then my next stop is here so if I have any PM's I get them when I arrive here.............
-
If that is all you forgot your in great shape. I am keeping the Posti Note company in business and reason I am able to remember the day is because my sons birthday was on that Tuesday and his birthday is 9/11/1969. Easy for me to remember. Always helps when other things are there to remind me of dates..............
-
Yea, I can tell when I talk to the family members that they are glad that a friend still remembers their loved ones they lost this many years later and I think it helps.....jmho

Sorry if I have brought up something in your past that you are still trying to deal with my friend. It is jsut something I think about often as I had a few close friends that did not come home that day and still visit or call their families from time to time to see how they are doing.

No Offense intended and hope non taken but if I am not mistaken 9/11/2001 was on a Tuesday.

Very impressive collection for sure..........

I read that the Governor signed to positive 2 gun bills and the NRA was talking about them but did not go into any specifics about what all they covered. I think one of them was pertaining to people being able to obtain a carry permit if they could legally do so if they had a restraining order of protection against someone and the other was something about some new places that were no longer gun free zones but they didn't say what those new places are. That is the one I am most concerned about learning more about.

Just thought it might be interesting to know. How many folks can remember exactly what they were doing on 9/11/2001 when the planes began striking targets. I was enjoying a nice morning of fishing on Old Hickory Lake and had a radio on it the boat listening to music when it came over the radio that we were under attack. I went right back and put the Skeeter on the trailer and went home and listened to the radio in the truck all the way home. Every gas station and filling station had lines out into the street with people panick buying. I had filled the truck and boat up that morning on the way to the lake so didn't need to stop on way home.

As much as I would have enjoyed attending these events I just would not feel comfortable even knowing that security is going to be "eye of the needle" tight. Over the years since 9/11 I have just become gun shy to attending crowds like these. I quit going to malls long before that. Kudo's to those that attend and hope any of yall that go have a great time..................JMHO

That many rounds fired and yep , It was great that neither officer was hit at least once but glad it went down as it did.................JMHO

This guy was either retarted or high on something.............jmho

Well, I'm just an old Redneck with a very conservative and very old High School education so not even going to attempt to get involved in this..............

I have not received any email notices on anything since this new program went into effect except the one telling me my benefactor membership was about to expire.

Since I don't get out as much as I use to and seldom out of Sumner County & Wilson County can anyone give me a few places that the law has changed for the good. Might give me more of an incentive to get out a little more. Thanks!

Are you completely happy with your pistol choice?
bersaguy replied to DWARREN123's topic in Handguns
I like my Bersa Thunder and my Model 85 a lot and my only want now is a Bersa Thunder Plus. I like the idea of have 15 rounds instead of 7 and I guess my Model 85 spoiled me on that idea. If I run up on a Thunder Plus at a price I can afford I will probably buy it..............JMHO -
Do you NEED to store food for 40 years?
bersaguy replied to AmPaTerry's topic in Survival and Preparedness
At my age and in my health I have to give thought each month about buying a months worth of groceries at a time. I do normally buy a month worth at a time when I go shopping. I do have a closet full of long storage stuff like Ramen Noodles in both flavors. I probably have 15 cases of them. My dog like them too but likes the chicken best so have more of those. Got probably a case of cannedTuna which I rotate every 2 months along with the canned Chicken from Sama that is dated. I rotate that before the expiration date. Probably 20lbs of coffee and about 30 cases of water and I add to that every month but I do use some of it each month also. Makes better coffee than tap water does. I buy it in 20 oz bottle cases and also buy some gallons for my coffee ever so often. Beanee Weinies buy the case, Vienna's buy the case. I can't remember all that I have in that closet but I do keep a list inside the door with an inventory. I figure it would get me through till either SHTF was over or I was dead or both. -
Me too!

I do hope everyone will take a few minutes out of their busy schedules and spend a few minutes remembering what they weekend represents. Thanks Bersaguy

Glad I could help. Hope you can find an auto dimmer at salvage yard and that is probably why the dealer wanted 400 bucks to do a 30 minute job. They were adding the price of a new mirror probably.
-
Does it have the auto dimming feature on the mirror? If so this article may help some. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mercedes-SLK230/102-INTERIOR-Rearview_Mirror_Removal/102-INTERIOR-Rearview_Mirror_Removal.htm

When weather permits me to go fishing I have at least two shakey heads tied on but with the bait caster reels I use. I can throw a Shakey head about as far as most folks can on a spinning outfit. I'm not trying to brag or anything like that. I cast and fish unweigthed Flukes all the time also. Now with that said, before my rotator cuffs in my shoulders wore out I flipped with my left hand and didn't have to change hands cause flipping and pitching doesn't require distance as much as accuracy to your target. Now with that said, back in the day when I fished a lot, like 5 + days a week almost every week I learned how to do a lot of things that many anglers never thought about doing. Some worked and some didn't but I was always experimenting...........lol
-
Well, I have never had an issue with hook sets because if you think about it when yo are fishing normally you have both hands on the rod right at the reel for hook sets. As far as spinning reels go if I needed you use one I would have to borrow one because I don't own one. They are alright for some folks but I'm not one of them.......

Back before I began usng the tubes I had my minnow keeper very similar to what your talking about. I had a cooler that I coverted into a minnow keeper and when I went to get minnows for the next morning I would get them in a 5 gallon pail and the bait shop would put some extra water in the bucket. I would then buy a bag of crushed Ice which is made with distilled water in most cases. I would come home and put the air tube through the hole I drilled in the top and put the stone on it and dump the water and minnows in it. Then plug up the aquarium pump and add some ice to keep the water cool. Next morning I would have crisp and lively minnows ready to go fishing.....................

Really it's what you get use to doing and once you do it is like automatic and done in such a non thought action you don't notice your doing it. After you have done it for 40+ years it's like well oiled machine................
