  1. Well lets see. 2+2 = 22 right?..........................
  2. "Given the comment from the camera guy that they both went flying past which prompted him to get his phone out and start recording, there's no way that was a surprise." That is why I said I would not be judgemental on the situation because I think the problem began long before the guy began making the video. Either way the biker should have stopped at the scene and it made him look guilty even if he was not the person that actually provoked the problems beginning.............JMHO
  3. Yea ,I will have to say mine were all a lot newer but when I was a kid I sure bagged a bunch of game with the field grade Model 12. Many of the same type birds she is holding. Had a lot of Pheasants where I grew up along with Rabbits, Doves ,Squirrels, Ducks, Geese and in some places Quail but had to drive to where they were down in southern Illinois. I pretty much keep all kinds of meat in the freezer at the house during the hunting seasons and that Model 12 was a meat getter for sure..............JMHO
  4. Well I watched the video and I will not make a judgement call either way because who knows what happened a few miles before the video began?...........JMHO
  5. Yes sir and as far as I'm concerned probably the best Pump Shotgun Winchester ever made. I have owned several in my lifetime. Had a Field grade, Trap grade and Pigeon Grade and wish I still had a couple of them today........JMHO
  6. I bought both movies of John Wick the other night and watched both of them back to back. The only thing I have to say is it is not a good idea to make him mad at you!!! I also noticed that only got to see one LEO in each movie and that was when the one came to his door about a noise complaint and asked him if he was working again? I guess I would say that they are good movies worth watching and got to see a real varity of different types of guns use.............JMHO
  7. You mean the real one with Yul Brenner and Charles Bronson or this remake that sucked
  8. I'm guessing they are using them because they are still working and apparentely working well with that last kill. Sorry buddy , had to say it..................
  9. I keep a small caliber gun in my bathroom also. Just big enough to get bad guys attention should he be in my house but will also still stop them.
  10. I remember watching a special on either the History channel or the Discovery channel about snipers and they referred to one of the earlier Canadian Snipers makinga shot at over 1 mile and at the time it was the longest kill on record and he was taking out another sniper which makes it even more challenging. They had exchanged rounds at each other several times and the Canadian was shooting a Barrett and he had run out of the Canadian ammo for it. His spotter handed him some American rounds so he could keep shooting and whith the first American round he took out the bad guy. Upon closer inspection between the two rounds they concluded that the projectile from the American round was lighter than the ones from Canada yet pushed by the same powder load making it shoot farther more accurately. Evidently Canada may have began building ammo to our specs or they are shooting our ammo...................JMHO
  11. I only have one question about this entire case. If in fact the officer did think he had stopped an armed bank robber as was implied why did he not radio for back up and wait till it arrived before making his approach to the car? That is what I apprecaite about the police department in my town. On any traffic stop you see there is always 2 or more squad cars on the scene and the officer that made the stop waits on back up every time. I have noticed that Hendersonville also practices that same approach on their traffic stops. Always at least 2 cars on the scene. I think that is a great practice................jmho
  12. I rabbit hunted with one of those back when I was just a kid!! Great gun and had a really smooth bolt action on one I had. Very nice gun!!! GLWS
  13. I will tell you how to have your fishing day wrecked in a hurry. A friend of my was fishing a Super Bass Tournament about 15 years ago on Old Hickory and they had locked through the dam to fish in the river and were flipping boat docks when my buddy set the hook on what he thought felt like mushy type bit. When he began to pull it up he pulled a hand still attached to an arm that was still attached to a body. They called the police and it took almost an hour for police boats to arrive and it took another 3 hours for them to release him to return to fishing but he said he didn't want to do anything but trailer his boat and go home. I think I would have felt the same way...............JMHO
  14. A buddy of mine called in about an antenna sticking up at boat ramp at Seven Points about 10 or so years ago and it was pickup truck and when they pulled it out there was a man and a womans body in it. A married couple that had been missing for almost 3 months. They chalked it up to double suicide as they we both listed as terminally ill on medical records and had been married almost 30 years.
  15. This all makes perfect sense except you forgot the most important aspect in our childrens lives and the is PEER Pressure. PEER Pressure cause more you people to get in trouble than all of the other items you listed together. What we need to teach our children is not to fall into the Peer pressure trap and think for themselves and not let others think for them.............JMHO
  16. I only have a couple questions about this: 1) Has any of them that are getting these authorized carry permits been through any type of a training program to show them which end of the gun the bullet comes out of? 2) I wonder how many of them could pass Through a Back Ground Check???? Just curious!!
  17. Hitting cars in Percy Priest lake is not uncommon. Use to happen alot more than it does these days but back about 15 years ago it was dangerous to drop your lower unit and start your motor till you had trolled far enough away from the boat ramp that no car could have traveled. People would steal a car and joy ride in it till is was almsot out of gas and they would head for a boat ramp. put a brick on the gas pedal and jerk it into gear. During the summer months it was not to much of an issue but during the Winter months when they would take the water down as much as 20 feet yu could see radio antenna's sticking up out of the water and just call the cops and they would come and tow them out. There was a few times that bodies were found in some of them and missing person cases were solved..................
  18. With as many domestic disputes that end up with the woman being killed and either the guy then killing himself or going to jail at taxpayer expense I say give her a medal because the bad guy is dead and she is alive because she did the right thing................jmho
  19. This would be a guess but I would say some kind of a really big gun.............JMHO
  20. Posted in wrong place so gone now Sorry!!!!
  21. Wonder what they were smuggling that they are running dark with AIS off. Never heard of big container ships doing that!!!!!!
  22. I have always been one that believes that placing your first and possibly your second shot where they need to be is the best option with any caliber including a 22 caliber which many times I carry my Phoenix 22 when making just quick runs close to the house. I have enough faith in a 22 that placing the first few rounds in the right location can also get the job done...........JMHO
  23. The Bersa's I own were made in Brazil and yes, for the most part 380 caliber is the gun of choice in most of Brazil. I don't know where people get the idea that a 380 Caliber gun is an ineffective caliber. In all I have read it is a short 9mm and I have shot some different ammo maker rounds through mine and I think they have plenty of impact power but that may just be my opinion. I do know I damn sure would not want to be shot by one.........JMHO
  24. Like I said earlier when I was just a kid I loved going trap shooting and it does improve your Quail hunting shooting a lot. The gun club up there use to hold Turkey shoots which you could win an assortment of different meats and my budy and I did wi our share of them. We would make sure to save up plenty of money of funds to attend the Turkey shoots which by the way they called them Meat Shoots. I can remember one shoot in particular that my buddy and I won about 8 of the shoots and we both had a Turkey, a full stick of Butcher Bologna, a canned ham and a 5lb pack of bacon each and a guy from the club gave both of us a ride home with our winnings because he knew we walked to the club each time we went. It was one of thsoe days that we were just hot on target. When I came down here and saw what the Turkey shoots were down here I never attended one. Didn't seem like much competition shooting at a paper target..........JMHO
  25. I would say 110 % correct on that OS........................
