A buddy of mine called in about an antenna sticking up at boat ramp at Seven Points about 10 or so years ago and it was pickup truck and when they pulled it out there was a man and a womans body in it. A married couple that had been missing for almost 3 months. They chalked it up to double suicide as they we both listed as terminally ill on medical records and had been married almost 30 years.

This all makes perfect sense except you forgot the most important aspect in our childrens lives and the is PEER Pressure. PEER Pressure cause more you people to get in trouble than all of the other items you listed together. What we need to teach our children is not to fall into the Peer pressure trap and think for themselves and not let others think for them.............JMHO

I only have a couple questions about this: 1) Has any of them that are getting these authorized carry permits been through any type of a training program to show them which end of the gun the bullet comes out of? 2) I wonder how many of them could pass Through a Back Ground Check???? Just curious!!

Hitting cars in Percy Priest lake is not uncommon. Use to happen alot more than it does these days but back about 15 years ago it was dangerous to drop your lower unit and start your motor till you had trolled far enough away from the boat ramp that no car could have traveled. People would steal a car and joy ride in it till is was almsot out of gas and they would head for a boat ramp. put a brick on the gas pedal and jerk it into gear. During the summer months it was not to much of an issue but during the Winter months when they would take the water down as much as 20 feet yu could see radio antenna's sticking up out of the water and just call the cops and they would come and tow them out. There was a few times that bodies were found in some of them and missing person cases were solved..................

With as many domestic disputes that end up with the woman being killed and either the guy then killing himself or going to jail at taxpayer expense I say give her a medal because the bad guy is dead and she is alive because she did the right thing................jmho

This would be a guess but I would say some kind of a really big gun.............JMHO

I have always been one that believes that placing your first and possibly your second shot where they need to be is the best option with any caliber including a 22 caliber which many times I carry my Phoenix 22 when making just quick runs close to the house. I have enough faith in a 22 that placing the first few rounds in the right location can also get the job done...........JMHO

The Bersa's I own were made in Brazil and yes, for the most part 380 caliber is the gun of choice in most of Brazil. I don't know where people get the idea that a 380 Caliber gun is an ineffective caliber. In all I have read it is a short 9mm and I have shot some different ammo maker rounds through mine and I think they have plenty of impact power but that may just be my opinion. I do know I damn sure would not want to be shot by one.........JMHO

Like I said earlier when I was just a kid I loved going trap shooting and it does improve your Quail hunting shooting a lot. The gun club up there use to hold Turkey shoots which you could win an assortment of different meats and my budy and I did wi our share of them. We would make sure to save up plenty of money of funds to attend the Turkey shoots which by the way they called them Meat Shoots. I can remember one shoot in particular that my buddy and I won about 8 of the shoots and we both had a Turkey, a full stick of Butcher Bologna, a canned ham and a 5lb pack of bacon each and a guy from the club gave both of us a ride home with our winnings because he knew we walked to the club each time we went. It was one of thsoe days that we were just hot on target. When I came down here and saw what the Turkey shoots were down here I never attended one. Didn't seem like much competition shooting at a paper target..........JMHO

I have 5 guns located throught my home in places I can get to in matter of a few seconds not counting one I carry when ever my doors are no locked totally 6 guns in the home. I don't have small fingers living in the home and Kasey is my alarm along with a drive way alarm that lets me know if a vehicle or a person comes up to my home. I also have outdoor lighting that is sensor controlled that lights up my back yard , side yard and front of house in parking area. My friends all know to call before stopping by and it puts me on alert for anyone that might show up before them that trips the driveway alarm. Because of the location of my home there is no excuse for anyone to trip my Driveway Alarm by accident after dark so any time it goes off I begin listening for my front door to be touched because they have already tripped the lights so they know their presence is already no secret. "Paranoid"? Not at all. Security conscious very much so..............JMHO

Most all of the dealers in the shows I went to back years ago were beginning to be booths that owned a gun store someplace and were just selling their store inventory for the same price or a bit higher than you could walk into their store and buy the firearm. Back when shows like this began it was because you could get good deals on items but that is long gone. That is why the promoters are using other products to fill empty spaces such as Jerky and Bar-B-Que Sauces and Aluminum Siding Companies. Last show I went to was January 2009 in Nashville and left empty handed cause there was no deals to be found anywhere..........JMHO

It always warms my heart when they locate and bring another one of our brothren home from Vietnam. It gives the family closure knowing they have him home now and can lay him to rest properly................JMHO

I said it did not pass the smell test 5 minutes after I heard the first report from the so called good guy. I know this may be a reach but I wonder if the bad guy from Tennessee may have knew this so called good guy and knew they would be caught and possibly killed so why not let a good guy friend collect the reward , make him look like a hero and get a bunch of money in the process. Stranger things have happened I'm sure. The whole thing just reeks of the unbelievable testimony that was read from a script by the good guy which by the way was different from the one he gave at 5 PM news from 6 PM news. Can't wait to see what changes by 10pm news ............jmho

Well that was not the story I just heard but you may be correct. I just know the homeowner read his explanation from a script and even had documented times of each event which sounded to rehearsed from my viewpoint. He never mentioned that he and his neighbor were armed in the part I just saw on channel 5 News. All he said was he had every gun he owns loaded and ready and then began praying.

Ok so who believes that story that they just willingly surrendered to an unarmed civilian???????????

I would not say it was cowardly of them to let an armed civilian take them down and put them face first on the concrete. I think they realize very fast that dealing with an armed civilian that is willing to take them on is just as willing to shoot and kill both of them and they decided to go into survival mode rather than fertilizer mode.......jmho

Well I was wrong about the amount of the reward earlier. It was not 60,000.00 but was 130,000.00 dollars. I sincerely do hope that this great American armed citizen receives the well deserved reward for his bravery and not allowing these bad guys to escape his grip on them. It just is another PRIME EXAMPLE of the capabilities of a well armed and evidently well trained American that will never get the attention from the news medias that should be well deserved.........JMHO
