I would say poor timing on the part of thousands of folks that thought Tennessee had roads that could handle the kind of traffic this act of GOD is going to create. My Jeep will not be moving today..................

I shop at Krogers for my groceries and earn points. They also have days that is double points day so when you check out you get double your points and they have days that certain items are triple points that day. On normal points you get 10 cents off for every $100.00 you spend on food and other items. You points add up for the month and you have till the end of the following month to use them of you lose them. July was the month they ran a bunch of bonus buys and triple points days they had 200 points for filling out a survey which I did and the points added up to 1000. I guess I have done it three times in past several years but I average getting between 50 and 70 cents off a gallon every month. All you need is a Kroger card to begin saving points.

I sincerely hope your right buddy about never using those type weapons again but as long as a human has access to one there is always a chance it will happen and no one is willing to give them up that has them and places like NK and Iran along with a couple other countries being part of the HUMAN RACE is very debatable..................JMHO

Thanks to all of you that have give or will in the future. I didn't give to "Go Fund Me" because his step dad and he are bait customers of mine along with being friends so I just sent a check to him directly so "Go fund Me" won't get the 8% they take out of it. If anyone would like to send funds directly in a check of Money order I have checked with Ross and he said I could give out his address to anyone that wanted to do that. So if you want to give that way just PM me. Thanks a bunch folks Doug aka Bersaguy

I have not hunted Squirrels in probably 20+ years. I used to always have a couple dozen in the freezer but moved inside the city and can't hunt them and son lives to far away now for me to go and hunt his place for them. I do have a bunch of them all around my house and yard and it was kind of funny. When I first moved here almost 18 years ago I only had 1 very small gray squirrel that would come out in back yard out of fence row and lokk and dig trying to find food. Once day while at TSC I saw a squirrel feeder on sale so I bought it and some squirrel mix and put it up in back yard on a tree. It took the little squirrel to get on it and I watched him and I busted out laughing when I realized he was to small to open the lid and get a piece of food out of it. He was a determind but finally gave up. That night after sun went down I made a small platform and attached it to the tree and put some food on it. The next morning I was drinking coffee and here came the little squirrel up the tree and onto that platform. He ate about every thing on it. Evidently he told a friend cause next day I had two show up. 1 bigger one that could open the lid and the little one that ate on the platform. Those 2 was all I had that winter. The following Fall was a lot different. I think they must have called all their kin folks cause I could not keep the feeder and platform full as they would empty it in a day. I went back up to TSC and got 2 more feeders and another bag of food. That bag of food lasted about 10 days. I did some research and learned that squirrels were corn eaters also so I bought a 50 pound bag of whole kernel corn and came home and dumped it in a big plastic trash can I bought for the food. The little critters ate a hole in the can lid and we getting inside eating the corm. We to TSC and bought to metal trash cans. Filled one with squirrel food and 1 with bird seed and put up 5 hanging bird feeders and today I have a total of 8 bird feeders and 5 Squirrel feeders that I will begin putting food in come fall after I take the Hummingbird feeders down..............LOL I get a lot of enjoyment now just watching all the wild life I have here.

It has always been big money area around Franklin, Grassmere and Brentwood area almost all the way back to Melrose in Nashville on Franklin Road. The Country Western Tour buses use to take people around that entire area because Hank Williams Sr. Minnie Pearl, Ronnie Milsap, Waylon Jennings just to name a few live between Nashville Melrose and Brentwood and the rest all bought from Brentwood to Franklin. I think Naomi Judd owns a small mini farm spread in Grassmere if I am not mistaken.

Not quite yet but if Ashley Judd moves back home to Franklin that will be when it will happen. I bet her mother is ashamed of her daughter. Her mother is a great and proper lady and her youngest daughter is a tramp............JMHO

When transporting a gas grill in your SUV, make sure the gas is off.
bersaguy replied to bubbiesdad's topic in General Chat
I know but my primary issue is if I want to refill my 60 gallon tank it might be out of date and might need to get it tested and re-dated so it can be filled again. So need to know where I can get it tested when I empty it. It has only been filled 1 time when it was new. -
Welcome to TGO and hope we can all learn from each other. You have just become a member of what I consider the best gun site on the WWW with some very outstanding members.........

That was very thoughtfull of you to do that for the students. Believe it or not I had a buddy that had the proper filiments #14 which is same as welding helmets and he had it tested and he actually made some homemade glasses with the lense #14 cover and some PVC pipe he had laying around and made about 10 pairs for his family members. He did it because he didn't trust any of the store bought stuff beause he didn't know what was Chinese bootleg verses the real stuff. Like you he put his nerdy side together and made them. They are not pretty but they are safe and effective and will work for the 2 minutes and 40 seconds it will last at his home weather permitting.....................

Can you tell me where to go to get it tested? I know a few companies that fill bottles but don't know if any of them will test the tanks? I know TSC won't, they just turn the tank down. I do have an Ameri-gas location not to far from me and have had tanks filled there a few times but the tanks all passed date test. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bersa -
There are some states that have laws that make zero sense but they use them for their own control of people living in that state and then there are states that have laws to protect the people that live in said state from stuff just like this. I'm glad I live in this one and none of those listen in that report..................JMHO

Yea, I know Sam. It is things like this that make my doctor so mad. It makes her so mad that they allow Pharmacudical(spelling) companies to advertise at all on Television. She said the FDA and FCC is doing nothng more than allowing the companies to practice medicine without a license. She went through 12 years of schooling and student loans to earn the priviledge to practice medicine and it is free to them. She has lost quite a few patients over the years because if a patient comes in her office and requests a prescription for anyhting they saw on TV she will tell them that she does not prescibe that particular medication and they get mad and leave. She will prescribe some of them but not if the patient asks for it right from the get go without tests first.

Well, I went up to Walgreens today and told them that they need to put it back in their inventory. I was not going on any medication that (MY ) doctor has not ran tests on first and then handed me a written prescription for me to bring to you. The Pharmacist seemed a little pi$$ed. I guess she felt I did not trust her and she guessed correctly if that is what she thought. I have been doing business with them since I moved here almost 19 years ago but there is a CVS right across the street that I'm sure would love to have my business. I go see my doctor next month and we will get this all straightened out then..............

The Insurance company didn't call my doctor. Walgreens did after the insurance called them and told them I should be on a statin drug and even recomended which one. Sounds to me like someone is getting a kickback from a drug company. I am going to pick them up to keep Walgreens and the insurance company happy but not going to take them until I speak face to face with my doctor next month. I know she is going to order bllod tests first before I start anything.

Yea, I know about the expiration date learned it the hard way. I was getting ready to become somewhat of a prepper special ordered a brand new 60 Gallon Propane tank from Amazon and took it up to TSC and got it filled and put it back in corner for emergencies. Bought a heater to fit on it also. Well that was about 10 years ago and it is still full and never used but I found out when I do use it I cannot get it refilled. The tank was made in January of 02 so it is out of date by almost 7 years cause it says must be filled within 10 years of manufacture date. Even though it has only been filled 1 time it will be junk when I empty it. The heater also fits the grill tanks and I have 5 of those and when I put the last one on the grill I go get 4 more replacements so I never run out of Propane. You are correct about getting them refilled being cheaper but about 5 times a year Academy will put them on special for $12.95 and when they do I will take what empties I have and get new ones. If I begin to get low I will call them and ask when they will be having another special exchange I also have about 25 of the 2 lb bottles for my lanterns and camper cook stove in case something serious causes power outage. Every time I catch them on sale I will by a few more. I also bought all the camping stuff needed to cook with especially a coffee pot. Just for giggles I made a few pots of coffee in it to kind of season it and I was impressed about how good the coffee was from the pot..........LOL -
I have a question regarding Presription Insurance company. My insurance company call my Pharmacy last Thursday and told them I needed to be put on a colesterol medication. Walgreens in turn filled a prescription for Lovastatin and notified me that is was filled and ready for pick up. I called them and told them that my doctor had not ordered a Colesterol Medication for me and they told me my insurance company did. I told them to just put it back on the shelf cause I would not be picking it up until I saw my doctor and had her run tests to see if I needed it. Walgreens took it upon themselves to call my doctor and ask them if I should be put on it. I am sure they did not talk to my doctor but probably one of her nurses because they got an approval to do it. I know my doctor as she has been my doctor 20 + years and she never does anything like this with out doing all the blood work first and non was ordered. My question is has anyone else ever experienced anything like this between their insurance company and their pharmacy and by passing the doctor?

I cook quite often on my gas grill and everytime I finish cooking I turn my gas off on the bottle and let it shut the burners down and then I turn them off. That way I know it is off. As far as getting tanks filled I don't take them to be filled. I go to Academy Sports and just exchange them for ones in the rack. That way you know your getting ones that don't leak and they have been in the rack for X amount of days and still full. I have found that in most cases Academy is normally cheaper than Walmart. When I exchange bottles I do 3 at a time. -
I have been saying all along that Tennessee will most likely be cloudy and raining during it but that still won't stop the 100's of thousands of people from flocking here just to be dissappointed and probably blame Tennessee because Mother Nature rained on their parade.......JMHO
