City of Knoxville Mayor Banning guns on street
bersaguy replied to macville's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ok, then it was more of a get together than a Protest and just a bunch of folks looking for their 5 minutes of fame? I bet the news was really Pi$$ed about that one........ -
Well, it's time to make the call!!! Who do you have picked to take the big trophy home? Texas or Japan I never thought Texas would beat North carolina but they did and are USA champs. I don't think Japan will be as easy as NC. They play way more discipline than most of the other teams. I would love to see it be Texas but have my doubts...............JMHO

City of Knoxville Mayor Banning guns on street

Ok so let me see if I am correct on this because I am in the learning stages or all these different groups. It said about 3 or 4 dozen protesters showed up at the rally and 2800 other people showed up as anti protesters. If you show up at one of these things on either side are your considered a bad guy or was just the 4 dozen the bad guys and the 2800 are good guys?? I'm sorry but just not to smart about all these different groups. I would think if anyone showed up at all they would be a protester. Do we have good protesters and bad protesters?????................ -
It may get a little for the 13 year olds but the new bat size will also add weight making it a little harder to swing for the smaller kids. At the speed these kids are throwing also is making the fields smaller when a batter gets the meat of the bat on the ball with a 78MPH (100 MP) fast ball.............JMHO

Clarksville News: 51 guns stolen from vehicles so far this year
bersaguy replied to FortKnox's topic in General Chat
I seldom lock my Jeep doors since if a thief wants in a broken window will most likely be the result. I also never ever leave a gun in my Jeep. When I get out my gun gets out with me......JMHO -
Well I guess when I die all my blue jeans and dress shirts will be going to Disabled Veterans Store as stated in my last request sheet in my Will.............JMHO

For anyone interested in LLWS games today. They begin at 10:30 eastern time and 11:30 Central time on ABC. That is channel 2 in Central time but don't know what channel it is in the east time zone...............

I told a guy one time that I don't even own a suit. His mouth flew open and jaw dropped and he said how you gonna be buried if you don't have a suit. I said ain't no sense in burning up a perfectly good suit and his mouth flew open again and he said Oh NO!!! you already know you going to hell and I just smiled and agreed. I figured going into cremetion who be to much for him to take in all at one time...........JMHO

Well I don't own a suit but I do still have Blue Jeans and dress shirts and the last three funerals I attended if I would have worn a suit I would have been way over dressed. Last one I went to I worn jeans and nice shirt and Sketchers shoes and there were many folks in shorts and dress shirts and jogging shoes because it was pretty hot outside. I think it is more the fact that people show up to give the family respect of attending than how a person is dressed but that is............JMHO

I went and looked an there is nothing new on line in search about bats for LL yet.

Well, I guess I have played all of the rolls listed here. I have been in suit and tie jobs in my early years from coming back home but I felt out of place so went into something I knew. I became a professional Automotive Mechanic which later became Automotive Technician. I wore beard before coming home and have worn one since 1973 but kept it well groomed while I was at work in case I had to speak with a customer. I always wore a clean work company uniform to work. That was my day dress 5 to 6 days a week. My sons never saw me without a beard and neither did my 2nd wife before she passed. I have threatened to cut it off a few times but talked myself out of it. Back between wives I did go out and party a little and dress up was Blue Jeans, Belt sometimes and suspenders sometimes depending on mood. Nice dress shirt and ball cap or Cowboy hat depending on which club I might be going to. Nice pair of Tony Lama Cowboy boots with silver toe tips and silver heel straps and always shined. That has never stopped me from being a gentleman and my manners where always a part of me. I always open and close car doors and building doors for a lady and all my actions made sure she always knew she was a lady. Today is a lot different for me. I'm clean and don't smell and put clean clothes on every day but may not shave every day or groom my beard but do brush it. Kasey accepts me as I am and as far as I'm concerned that is who I am. I'm not interested in courting or trying to attract a lady because I am still deeply in Love with the lady I buried in 1997 and that won't change. My whole house is a Man and Mutt cave and nobody has to like it but us. Thats All Folks!!!!!

Yea and I was hoping Goodlettsville would have went all the way but the year they went the competition was really tough and on top of their games big time. That might be why the Little League Commission is looking at changing but it has not been announced if they are going to wood. They have just been talking about it in between games that they are looking at bat issues. It might be a blessing if the maker of the Louisville Slugger Bats and other bat companies do not get a bad case of the greed knowing all Little Leaguers have to go wooden. Normally when stuff like this happens dollar signs start flashing in the eyes of manufactures...........JMHO

Yep and their sportsmanship is at a level you will not find in many adults except maybe in the men and women that coach them. I wish more adults could take lessons from these kids. The world would be a lot place to live............JMHO

Those kids play with more hearts and passion than the Pros ever could and I seldom watch pro ball but will try not to miss a game in Little League world series

There was another one made like that in last nights game that stole another homerun. I bet the games over the weekend will be awesome. NC is playing some serious baseball. I'm thinking unless Mexico pulls a rabbit out of the hat it will be NC and Japan on Sunday but not betting on it. NC and Japan have not lost a game yet and I thought South Korea would take Mexico out but they didn't. Texas has some big players and some good pitchers but I still think NC is favored to win. I am hearing rumors during the broadcasts that the Little League Commission are going to look at a new bat issue which might mean Aluminum Bats are out and Wooden Bats are in but will have to wait and see. If that happens it might get very costly for little league teams that struggle to pay their way without sponsors for a season. I don't know if parents have to pay for the bats or not. I notice in World Series most players carry their own bats.

I was just wondering if anyone on TGO has been watching the Little League World Series the past couple weeks. The top 3 games are on this weekend. It's down to 2 U.S. teams and 2 Foreign teams on Saturday and the two winners from Saturday move on to Sunday to play for the World Series Championship game. Texas and North Carolina play the U.S. bracket and Mexico and Japan Play in the Foreign bracket and the winners go to Sunday. I have been watching them every August at Williamsport for last 6 years and they play great baseball for sure.

This is all the more reason we need to become an Energy Independent Nation in my opinion!

At the least 50 cents a gallon depending on how long Harvey stalls in Texas and off the coast. It will go up in 15 cents of more at a time and then come back down 1 penny at a time and that will be just in time to raise it back up when they change from Summer Blend to Winter Blend..........JMHO
