I have spent many nights waking up in cold sweats from dreams and for a long time I have seemed to have gotten over them so probably not going to watch it. Not going to chance going back into nightless sleeps. I have managed to avoid watching all the movies they made over the years about that war. I know they are only movies but not going to push the envelope..............JMHO

LOL, I forgot you have got to meet her and you know how small she is. Do they make a double action Heritage. I thought they were all single actions. I have given this some thought and I know she said she would like to ahve a wheel gun but I think if I just let it rest she will just keep the Bersa on her night stand like she is now and carry the Body Guard as she has started doing. I will only bring it up again if she does............JMHO

Well, a buddy and I took her to a private indoor range about a week ago because she had never shot the 380 Body Guard. It was a gun B.T. carry as back up under his left arm while packing a Tok or 1911 on his belt. She did remarkable with the BG after she got past the size of the gun verses her Bersa. After about 8 magazines she began hitting center mass pretty much consistantly at 10 to 12 feet. Like I said she is not new to shooting. Just new to different guns. She has always wanted a wheel gun but B.T. kept her with the Bersa because she was so good with it. I have considered a 22 Mag for her and she said she was not all that particular with caliber as much as she is being comfortable with the gun, weight and recoil. She said if I can hit what I am shooting a 22Mag should stop about any bad guy won't it or at least really discourage them and I said I would think so. I have even considered getting a 22 mag wheel for my house. I have more faith in them than I do a 32 cal. when it comes to stopping ability. What are ya'lls thought on a 22 Mag and if you think it would do the job which 22 Mag would folks like to speak out about?

Ok, I am in need of some advice about a wheel gun. B.t's wife is in the market for a wheel gun to keep on night stand and not for carry. She carries a 380 Body Guard but wanting a wheel gun for home defense. B.T. had an S&W 357 but she could not shoot it due to weight and recoil. They lady is 5ft tall and might weigh 80 lbs. Since I have very little to no knowledge on wheel guns I am looking for suggestions of what to look for that she may be able to safely use. She can shoot a Bersa Thunder 380 which is what BT taught her to shoot with and is very good with it. She has it but wants a wheel gun and going to sell the Bersa. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bersa

I have noticed over my years of watching storms either like these of if they predict snow that everyone says they need to go get milk and bread. The milk I can understand but like mentioned earlier Bread & Milk sandwiches???? If I'm going to the store to stock up for a storm I want something to go on the bread besides Milk!!!!!!.................JMHO

Well it does now look like it is going to turn due north after striking Cuba which like someone else mentioned would be Florida, Georgia and South Carolina as targets and maybe a small part of Southeastern Tennessee and from tha point who knows where she may go? That is not edged in stone as we have all seen in the past while trying to predict these abominations!!!!!

The national Weather Service says that one is going to slam Mexico and probably do a Harvey and make a U turn and hit Mexico again but it is not expected to impact Texas.
-
Well the National Weather Service says the peak season for hurricanes peaks on September 12th so I guess Mother Nature is going to try and make the best of the next 7days to make up for the very mild season we had last year............jmho

I have a feeling that Irma is going to give all the Island Countries a complete make over and not for the better. A catagory 4 hit Houston and it changed the landscape of Texas so these Islands going up against a catagory 6 it is anybodys guess what will be left. I do hope that people in Florida do listen and vacant so all the rescues that were needed in Texas will not be needed as much. I will never understand why people think they can ride out a storm like these. I would have been packing up and getting out long before the storm made land. What ever is left afterwards will or won't still be there when you get back home. At least you, your family and your pets will be safe.........JMHO

By the looks of things Irma looks like it's gonna be a bigger hit the Harvey!!! Irma just reached winds of 185 MPH and is a Catagory 5 and heading straight for Florida and may even hit in Gulf again if it keeps tracking in direction it is at present time.I guess we might as well get ready for a bunch more rain here in Tennessee!!!! Stock up now folks...............JMHO

Yea she is happy I guess.......lol. I don't know what it is about her and that spot on the old hard floor but that is her favorite place to lay. She has a bed in the living room with twin size memory foam matress and quilt on top of it and she lays on it once in a while but most mornings when I wake up and go towards the coffee pot I have to step over her to get in the kitchen.Once I get my coffee and biscuit by then she is ready to get a treat and go out side..........lol

Well kasey and I had Crappie and home fries yesterday with homemade Hush Puppies so today is grilled T-bone Steaks. Kasey ate about half the Crappie and a good portion of the home fries cooked in bacon grease but was not into the hush puppies..........LOL I will have baked potatoes to go with the T-bones and probably Califlower and cheese sauce. Bacon bits, butter and sour cream on my potatoe and minus the sour cream on Kasey's..............................

Talked to Grandson yesterday and he said that acoording to the 6 trail cams he has up over looking the food plots they have out on my sons place he has counted as many as 27 deer feeding on the plots at one time with 5 of them being 8 point's or bigger and several smaller bucks. He also said the Persimmon trees are going to be producing this year also that they planted 5 years ago. He clears the cameras each trip and next time their are deer in each one so they don't seem to be going any place. The stands from last year are still up so when season begins nothing for have to change. I told him that as far as I'm concerned I would rather have smaller deer so if he is shooting for my meat take 4 points or Spikes and when Doe opens I would like a couple Does also. He said he does not see a problem with it. He wants me to come down and saty one night and get up and go with them 1 time. He told me I can use "MY" Old 30/30 and the scope is still dead onand he has one stand I would be able to get in with no problems. I'm still pondering over it.

Saw an interview Fox reporter did with him yesterday in Houston and he had many of the team and other volunteers unloading 10 tractor trailers loaded with all kinds of supplies and was telling folks that all those items had been donated and he has not even began to spend the money that is in the fund that he plans to begin doing soon as he can get with officials on where the funds are needed the most. JJ is definately a class act for sure................

Looks like he might be feeding everyone in Kingsport..............LOL

Just read an article stating that the Colonial Pipe is coming back up today and will be sending all fuels back to the east coast. They said they are even expecting to have the Houston end of it up and pumping fuel but figuring most will be coming from the Lake Charles locations.......... http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/08/hurricane_harvey_colonial_pipe.html

I hope you have a better season this year. I know a lot of folks had tough seasons that lived up east. My Son and Grandsons all had good hunts last year and I got 2 deer from them for my freezer. They have told me they will at least 2 or maybe three for me this year as they ahve been checking trail cams and say that the food plots are showing quit a few nice deer on my Sons property.

T-Bones are on hold now!!! A buddy of mine stopped by yesterday and brought me about 20 lbs of Crappie Filets in frozen bags with 12 filets per bag so looks like Kasey and I will be having Crappie an Hush Puppies with a skillet of Home fries for dinner this evening. Kasey sure does love Crappie about as much as I do and loves home fries as long as I leave the onions out which onions are not good for dogs anyway so I will leave the onions out this time....................
