I agree but maybe if her parents would have been concerned enough with her having the one they knew about and reported it the police might have found more and been able to prevent her from buying more. Maybe, just maybe the school shooting could have been prevented.

That may be true but how many folks here that own guns are under a doctors care for emotional mental issues and her parents knew she had one which should have been 1 to many with them knowing she had a problem. They also said they thought she sold it but did not say she did sell it.

Ok, I have a question that is related about the shooter and not politics. How many folks here think that the parents of the shooter know a lot more than they are letting on to what they really knew. They knew she was emotionally disturbed and admitted to that and they said he did own a gun but said she sold it. How could they not know about all the other ones she had while living in the same house with them? Also if she had the one she sold how did she purchase it in the first place with her mental issues?

Yep, that's a common snapper and would have been a good eating one. Back before I moved here I use to travel a road often that had a stone quarry pond on one side of it and ever so often I would see a snapper crossing the road and I would stop and move it off the road. depending on which way it was headed would be the direction I would take it. If it was going away from the quarry that meant it was going up to lay it's eggs and if it was going towards the quarry it had laid it's eggs and was going back to the water. I gave the eggs about 2-3 weeks to hatch and the babies would be crossing the road heading to the quarry. I was able to catch 5 of them and several had been hit by cars but I took the ones I caught home and put them in my aquarium to watch them for a while. I fed them night crawlers and some dead minnows I got from a local bait store. I kept them about a year and then took them to the quarry to release them but thought it would be better to put them in a safer place so when I went bass fishing I released them in Old Hickory lake.

I think I ate 200 pop cycles and Fudge cycles and was finally able to get warm tomato soup down but I learned my lesson and never tried it again.....LOL

Back in the day when I was young and dumb I let a few friends talk me into trying some hot chicken wings. That was my only experience with hot chicken. I had white blisters in my mouth for about a week. Never again and that was about 40 years ago......LOL.

Well this is about politics which I know little about but I did learn one thing about this. I was talking to a friend and he told me that his son and a bunch of his buddies joined the march on the capitol the last couple days. They didn't do it in support of Jones or any other Democrat because they are all Republicans. They just did it to be part of something. My friend told them that just by marching it gave support to Jones by enlarging the march. He told them it was a stupid move.

I have sent prayers for him and hope he pulls through and hope he does not have much if any residual after effects.

As far as the young man in KY like a normal young man with a lot going for him. One of the first mass shootings that happened was from the observation tower at Texas A&M by a shooter Charles Whitman seemed normal until he killed his wife with a knife before putting all his arms in a duffle bag and headed for the College. Once there he entered the tower door and shooting the woman at the desk and then proceeded to go up to the tower steps to the observation tower and opened fire on unsuspecting people just going about their day. He had killed or wounded 20 + people and when the police arrived he opened fire on them. The only weapons the police has was pistols and shotguns which were useless as long as he was up on to tower. It was a wide open area all the way around the tower. About 20 minutes later 3 Ranchers showed up with high powered rifles that could reach Whitman and they made him duck down and stop shooting. Every time he raised up to shoot he would get fired at and they kept him penned down till 2 police officers were able to get to the door. Once they got up where he was the officers shot him several times killing him. An autopsy later revealed that he has a pecan size tumor on his brain and said that was what caused him to do what he did. Now with that said and they found out what caused Whitman to do what he did how many of these mass shooters we have today don't have similar issues that are being kept from the news and public because they want to blame the guns.

I think she may have used the AR15 to shoot her was in through the doors and swapped to the sub-2000 once inside. And may have went back to the AR when confronted by police. We will never know for sure as they will only share bits and pieces of what they know.

Washington state passed the law stopping anyone else from buying one but that does not address the 1,000's the the people already own. That is going to be the issue in every state. They have no idea how many are in gun safes all across the country. I figure their next move is going to go after any and all ammo for them. The Gal-boy that shot up the school in Nashville was using assault style weapon but fired a pistol caliber round was what I heard? I may be wrong!!!

The mental aspect is to complicated for the Anti's to wrap their heads around and they think attacking the guns is a much easier target. I had a buddy ask me one time if I have ever thought about suicide and I said HELL NO!!! I love myself to much to do that and would not put that stigma on my family. When I leave this world it will be when the Powers to Be upstairs pulls my number!

One thing I have noticed is in all the shooting we hear the firearm is listed as as AR15 style assault rifle from the police. I thought that he police, ATF and FBI are suppose to be well trained in firearms so why can't they call a firearm by it's proper title if they have it in their hands?

I guess that voice mail he sent his friend the day before made it pretty clear of his intentions. To bad his friend did not get the voice mail in time to alert the police on Sunday so they could have been ready for him today.

I don't guess I will ever understand why people that are going to commit suicide think they have to killed a bunch of people in the process. If a person wants to off themselves just do it without taking a bunch of people with you!!!.

was a smart move to get out of the water if it was a small pond because they don't like things in their area. They are very territorial. Now I guess folks are wondering if I have ever ate Turtle and the answer is many times and no, they don't taste like chicken...LOL. I think I mentioned that my mother was a great cook and she could cook about anything. I asked her if she would cook turtle if I cleaned one and she said yes and the old man stood beside me and directed my work. I took a stick and it mad enough to grab it and when he did I was able to pull his head and neck out of his shell and the old man whacked his head off with a hatchet in one swing. The old man (Gulley) had sharpened 3 knives for the job and had a Hole Saw for cutting the bottom part of the turtles shell loose from the top part after I cut the legs free from the bottom. I was surprised at all the meat that was attached to the legs, similar to the Thighs of a chicken. Once we cleans out the guts and got done carving all the meat out of the turtle I guess we had maybe 10+ pounds of boneless light pink meat. I took it in the house and gave it to my Mother and from then on it was up to her. My mother was not much of a soup cook. She was feeding 4 growing boys and my father so she would prepare full meals at supper. I guess I might have been one of the first people to eat Turtle Nuggets but we had Turtle Nuggets, fried potatoes& onions, turnip greens, Fried Corn and fried corn cakes. There was enough meat left for her to put in freezer. I took Gully a plate for supper over to his cottage. He was also surprised to see the Nuggets but the next morning he showed up at our back door with the clean plate and thanked us. After that it became a regular program and he got a plate every night at his door. He was 80 years old and Mom always made to much food so we fed him too.

Last time I bought anything new was about 3 years ago I bought a new pillow top mattress and box spring and I was at someplace a buddy took me to. Anyway when I settled on a set the guy gave me a price of $299.00 + Tax. I pull two 100.00 bills and a 50.00 dollar out of my pocket and said that was all I had to spend and he said I will be right back. When he got back he said if I would pay the tax we had a deal and I looked at my buddy and said lets go. Before I got to the front door I got them for $250.00 out the door. The name of the company is American Freight and they are in Goodlettsville.

So this 28 year old gal-boy has stumped some of the most brilliant minds in law enforcement. Maybe if they would release her ramblings she wrote to the American people someone might be able to see something that the brilliant minds cannot and put some logic to her ramblings. There is a chance that the smart people might be using technical logic that is hiding what they are looking for.....JMHO

That is where a strong stick comes in handy. You make the turtle mad enough to grab the stick and once he does you pull on it and as long as you keep pressure on the stick he can't let go and you could drag him out of the rocks. There jaws lock when you apply pressure and they can't let go until they can relax.

Right!!! They are rare to find one in Tennessee and even more rare in Illinois where we were catching them. We only caught 2 in 3 years of fishing for them and we released both of them back into the bigger swamp lake that we didn't fish in.

There's an old saying, If a snapping turtle bites you it won't let go until it thunders!!!!
