  1. A buddy of mine sent me this!!! http://abc13.com/news/homeowner-shoots-at-drive-by-suspects-killing-2/1960774/
  2. Well I have always been told to make sure and try and put first round center mass if you ever have to defend yourself. I can see their point cause it is a much better target in a self defense situation but I think if a person can shoot as well as you do or did in the picture at 15 yards then by all means shoot for the melon on the shoulders..............
  3. Gosh!!! You explained that so well a person would believe it was you and your boat.............
  4. Yep for sure, you need to spend more time at the range David.....30 rounds and not one in center mass......................
  5. Won't be my first time........................
  6. I have been with Cricket since 1998 and yea, their coveage did suck in many areas but fit the bill for me at the time. I had their broad band also when it came out and got great service on computer. About 4 years ago I think AT&T bought Cricket and I had to go get a new AT&T phone at the Cricket Store and I got an LG phone for free because I had been a loyal customer with Cricket for so long. I also had to get a new Broad Band and I had to go to AT&T for that and they also gave me the Go Phone Broad Band unit and just charged me for 1st month service which in $50.00 for 5GB a month and my phone is unlimited with all the options I wanted on it. Back when It was Cricket Service I could not get reception at my daughters home in Alexandria east of Lebanon. Now that it is opearing on AT&T towers I can make and receive calls in her livingroom. Same way with my son that lives in Kingston Springs Tennessee. I can get service now even down in that holler. I pay $50.00 for Broad band and $25.00 for phone each month.
  7. I don't know if this is related but in some ways I think it is. Most folks have stated they had a terrible deer season last year. I'm sure some of you folks know I make and sell soft plastic fishing baits and I am a member of two large fishing sites which I have many angler/customers on them that order baits from me. As I have had a very very poor bait business year and spoke with many anglers that have said they had the worst fishing season they have had in many years is why they have not been ordering baits this year. Now this may just be coincedence that the deer season was bad and the fishing season was also bad. That is possible. It could also be possible that the Climate Change that we all are seeing may also be having some effect on wild life of al kinds whether it be deer or fish. I have even spoke witha few farmers that are friends of mine that have mentioned that their cows have not born as many calves as they have in past years. Look at all the Hurricans that are lining up in the Atlantic at present plus the ones that have already hit when last year I think their was 1 or 2 and thr weather people said we must have dodged a Hurricane season last year. Could all of this be connected? I have n clue but might be something to think about. Mother Nature has it's way of taking care of it's own creatures big and small and maybe we are not smart enough to keep up with what she is doing???????...............JMHO
  8. "Then again, crazy people do crazy stuff I guess". Yes they do for sure. I wanted to get life insurance on myself some years back and after investigating most of the Insurance Companies and reading to horror stories of families that the insurance companies screwed over and never paid the claims on I decided to be cremated and I now have my final expenses paid for and all my family has to do is collect my urn of ashes if they want to. I prepaid my arrangements. As far as commiting suicide, that is not for me. I love myself to much and fought all my life to remain alive so ain't gonna hurt my self on purpose now.................
  9. I went and opened up the survey and ran through the questions without answering any of them and you can tell by the questions that this is a very formal Survey and not just some small time guy being nosey. I sure don'r intend on taking it!!!!.................JMHO
  10. I said I was not going to watch it but not much else worth watching so I turned it on. I knew bits and pieces of what took place in the beginning by hearing bits and pieces from friends that were over there much earlier than I was. Most everthing thing showed last night just went to prove how political that war really was. Most of what took place before Kennedy's death never reached the news medias. Just bits and pieces that Feds would release and almost had to when we began losing American lives over there. I probably will not watch any more of it. Pretty much know what happened next........
  11. It does show when you have not been to the range in a while But this is first time back after losing my best friend and range partner B.T. back in the Spring. Was kind of a strange feeling not to hear his Tokarev rocking the rafters in the range. I only spent about 30 minutes there and I think I might try and find another range close by to go to. Probably Sumner Gun and Supply will be the one I attend next when I go. I was shooting Mod 85 Bersa and Phoenix HP 22A but just could not get my heart into it. The picture of the 15 yards was the last time B.T and I shot together. I was somewhat better cause we shot twice a month at least and some times more. That is a picture of BT in the second picture holding a Big Smallmouth he caught on Dale Hollow.
  12. " After I came home and saw the crappy way we were treated, kinda lost my trust in the politicans and the government." Could not have said this better myself my friend..........................
  13. One can only hope they catch them but I have not heard yet of anyone being caught in connection of any of the previous burglaries for which there have been many in past 2 years or the recovery of any guns that where taken.........JMHO
  14. Oh I know that but it might benefit those that have read this or will read this because it might help more folks get their items sold faster with have both prices in the post...........
  15. Ok thanks. I just think it's better to show both prices so from now on I will edit the original Post and leave old price and add newer lower price so the person can see both prices to decide if the new price makes a better deal for the reader.................
  16. That right there would make a person wonder if they even had a security system at all with all that damage done and not one alarm sensor tripped and no motion sensors and cameras................JMHO
  17. There is another issue I have found interesting on this subject. I have found that many times a member will post something for sale and put a price in their original ad. Then when the article up for sale does not sell the seller will go back to the orignal ad and edit to and lower to the price of the item and then say price lowered. For anyoone just seeing the post for the first time they never got to see what the original asking price was so they don't know if the price in the OP has been dropped or not. I always try and update my for sale item with a new post with the lowered price in the second post so the new reader can see what my original price was and what the new price is.........................JMHO
  18. Well if the police do like most they came to the scene with sirens blasting telling the bad guys how much time they had. I have never seen a reason to run Sirens and lights in the middle of the night when responding to an alarm in a business going off unless they want to make sure that bad guys get gone before they arrive. I had an alarm system in my auto repair business and it was a silent alarm so that bad guys never knew when they triggered it and twice over the years the cops caught the bad guys still in the business during break ins. Gotta love small town LEO's. They get it done!!
  19. You have raised a good point GGG. They consider comitting Suicide is against the law. If a person commits suicide does any one honestly think that person gives a damn about it being illegal? I think that is really one of the stupid laws on the books. If they attempt to comit suicide but try and don't succeed then that would be a crime of attempted murder I would think but then if a person does try that they would be considered mentally unstable and a lawyer would file a request to the courts on that. I honestly don't believe there can be a true law to address Suicide...............JMHO
  20. I don't really know if insurance would cover Suicide by Cop but first the insurance company would have to prove that is what it was and I don't really believe they could.........JMHO
  21. Well, I guess they are gone!! I have been watching all day to see if I have any left and have not had a bird all day that I have seen. I will leave all my feeders up for about 1 more week and then I will down size to 3 feeders and keep them with fresh food till the first frost for travelers going south. Time to begin getting ready for my winter birds and squirrels. A buddy of mine told me his Oak tree is full of big acorns this year so I will be taking my shop vac up to his place and load up the acorns on his driveway, deck, patio and sidewalks. He didn't have any last year for some reason. First time in years his tree did not produce. Year before last I got about 100 lbs from his place. I take those and mix them in with 50 lbs of kernel Corn in a 35 gallon galvinized trash can and then I put 100 lbs of wild bird seed in another can and I am normally good for most of the winter depending on how many critters I get. Last year I had to buy extra bird seed because I had a very big flock of Doves that showed up and I put some food down in my crush&run gravel drive way for my Cardinals and other ground feeder birds that don't feed on the tube feeders. It started out with like 3 doves and inside of a week it was about 20 and they stayed all winter. I don't know why I thought Doves migrated further south but I guess not....................
  22. Yep and chances they are local is slim to none. Probably live in Antioch in Gangland!!!
  23. Thanks and I could see it once I blew the picture up............
  24. Well, it can be looked at in several ways. In one sense it was a burden for the officer and a relief for Ray. What conclusion was drawn the officer was completely legal in his defense of himself and his fellow officers and not knowing Rays intent. I completely exonerate the officer for any wrong doing. As for why it happened was all on Rays shoulders. As for how the daughter tried to say they could have prevented it would have just ment that ray would have suffered longer which to me would have been more cruel than what took place. I know it was not somethng that the daughter and Grand daughter should have seen but they should have not put any blame on the officers for doing their job. It was all Rays decision for his actions. From what I learned later was that the officer did feel remorse but his fellow officers supported his actions and helped him get through it. A couple of them that knew Ray that were not there even told him that they would have shot him even though he was a friend of theirs. I think most of the LEO's that new Ray knew exactly what he did. .............JMHO
  25. I don't know that for sure but I have 2 dead bolts on my house door. 1 can be latched with fingers from inside and the other requires a key on both sides. I would think that the lock on that door is key access on both side as most businesses are...............JMHO
