  1. I just bought a Winchester Model 100 in .284. Anybody got any suggestions on where to get ammo at a reasonable price. Cheapest I could find it online was right at $40 for a box of 20. Here is a picture
  2. I actually picked up the same on on Amazon Gold Box deal today. It was a combo that had the knife and a Pelican 3380 flashlight for 24.99 shipped.
  3. I'm talking about if I go hunting with my high powered rifle, can I take my handgun along with me as well, not to be used to hunt with, just a carry gun?
  4. This may be a stupid question but is it legal to carry your handgun while deer hunting, assuming you have a carry permit of course. I tried to look back through the forum and find an answer on on TWRA's website but never could find what I was looking for. Any idea?
  5. I wanted to make a tuckable holster for cheap so I made this holster for my P-64 by using an old makarov holster I got from Makarov.com. This is a picture of what it started out looking like(click on the picture for a more accurate view. This is not my picture, its just for reference. I then cut all the straps on it and sewed what you see below. I made it where that I run my belt through the loops or just use the clip either one(depending if I may need to take it off during the course of the day). This picture shows my finished work(this one is my picture). All in all I have about 6 bucks or so in it. Not to bad for a Friday night project.
  6. I got mine in the mail just a few minutes ago. Here is my timeline. Took class: 4/19/08 Filed paperwork: 06/04/08 Fingerprinted: 06/05/08 Issued 1st time: 07/14/08(got lost in the mail I guess, it never came in) Issued 2nd time: 8/13/08 Received: 08/21/08 77 days total since being fingerprinted. It would have been significantly faster than that had I not had to wait 30 days to call it lost in the mail. I also received my HCP in the mail 8 calendar days (6 working days) after I was told it was mailed out.
  7. Just the permit...that I know of
  8. Finally got good news myself. I was finger printed June 4. I called on August 1st and was told that it was mailed out on July 14th and that it would take 7-14 business days from there. That was all good and well except that August 1st was the 14th business day. I called back August 8th because it still wasn't here. I was told that I had to wait until 30 days after the mail out date before I could report it as never coming in. Today was FINALLY the 30th day and I called and spoke to a very nice woman named Linda who had me fax a letter saying I never got it in the mail. She called me back about an hour later and told me it should be here in 7-14 days. I just hope this time it's not lost in the mail again!!!
  9. Hello all, Jerod from Morristown here. Been reading the forums for a while, decided it was time to go ahead and join.
