Had one wish I wouldn't have got rid of it now. I think I am going to put another one together. As stated spend a little more on a better barrel. I had a daniel defense barrel on mine and it was a great shooter. I personally could never get the 6.8 to feed right out of any of my 5.56 mags, be it gi or polymer. PSA had some cheap 6.8 mags the other day.

Good idea, they may very well do that. I think they learned the error of their ways with the first one. If you don't mind reply back with their answer, as that may sway my decision on getting one now. When I get mine it will be going in the night stand, I just picked up a rami the other day, so I will be carrying that.

This is the gun I am looking at as a host as well. You got one of the older ones with the lower sights, the newest ones on their website have the taller suppressor sights. That is the very reason I have held off on buying one myself. I am waiting for the taller sights. I had 2 P07's and they really are great guns, although a little thick, but the P09 isn't really something that I personally wouldn't be carrying anyway.

If you can meet me in knoxville this week, I can give you a 3lb coffee can full of mixed .45 brass. I have enough. If you want it send me a message and I will give you my phone number. edit: they are not cleaned, and are just range pick ups.

What 30cal can and who does layaway?
tmauto769 replied to Wingshooter's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I got the Thompson Machine Thirty, (actually I don't have it yet, waiting for the stamp) from tennessee silencer. I don't think they do layaway though. -
I was under the assumption that it had to be done before it was assembled as an sbr. I had my engraving done while I was waiting for the stamp. It sat in pistol form until I got the stamp. edit: n/m i just seen where it said it wasn't a lower.

If it is a 75B, you might not like it if you did feel the trigger. I put $260 into my matte stainless 75, to get a really good trigger. The stock one had way to long of a reset and was a too heavy a pull for my tastes. The cajun gun works short reset 2 system helped that a bunch, along with a cz customs hammer, main spring, which then requires an extended firing pin with a lighter spring, and an adjustable sear. It was a lot more than I bargained for but that is one sweet shooting gun now. ;)

I have lowers as cheap as andersons all the way up to a billet seekins. they all work and work well no problems with any of them. But with that being said the seekins has a lot tighter tolerances. For example when I pulled my timney trigger out of a spikes lower and dropped it in the seekins, at first I didn't think it was going to fit, it slid in without forcing it but it has to drop straight in. In the spikes you could just throw it in there. As far as comparing an anderson to a spikes, no difference what so ever other than the logos and serial #. I have the spikes upper on the seekins right now and it is a different shade as someone said above. On a low to mid range gun it wouldn't bother me so much, but this one I have a lot invested in it so I am going to have to fork out some more $ for the seekins upper. I think you are better off spending more of your money on good barrel vs. more money on a more expensive lower. Like a seekins match, ultra match, or Rainer. I had a 6.8spc Daniel Defense barrel that was a really good shooter as well.

I have big hands, and I have often thought the same thing about CZ's comfort. I have the Tactical sports model and that one is quite a bit bigger than the 75's, but both feel great and shoot very well for me.

I had an ultra carry II for a short time. I wouldn't trust my life to it for sure. To many ftf, that gun was picky about the ammo you put in it. Just shooting it though, it was accurate when it wasn't having issues with the ammo.

I prefer a hammer fired gun as well. Polymer or metal framed doesn't really matter so much to me though. Even though I carry a striker fired gun, just shooting for fun I don't really like the feel of the striker fired guns trigger. I know plenty of people that feel the opposite. I have CZ's, sigs, and beretta's, I have to say that I prefer the cz's over the rest.

Just out of curiosity how long is that barnes bullet you are using?
-
You might be forcing the bullet into the lands just a bit and on retrieval it is sticking and pulling it back out of the case. I have the same rifle and it indeed has a shorter throat than normal. I have the Hornady COL gauge and the special case for it, and I found I was getting irregular measurements even with that until I inserted in easy. With a 175gr BTHP from rocky mountain I was getting a 2.750" oal, and a 2.193" oal @ the ogive IF I am reading my notes correct. With that being said, I don't have a lot of time with this rifle yet, and the only time I took it out, I was having some scope issues, so I didn't waste anymore time fooling with it that day. You may try to resize the case so the bullet has a tighter fit allowing it to stay put, just a thought.

Taya Kyle's Discussion with President Obama
tmauto769 replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I have been wondering this exact thing since this 41p deal has come up. I thought when I sent in my form(whatever) to the atf they did a background check. Do they not? -
So, is there going to be any 556/.223 to be had tomorrow?
tmauto769 replied to K191145's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I am currently reloading it for around $.21-$.23 a round(not buying brass). But yes, if you don't reload, $.32 is not bad. -
Thanks! I couldn't find the $500 link anywhere. Signed up. FYI for anybody that can't come up with the $500 at once, you can make $25 monthly or quarterly payments to lock in that price.

I have had the LNL for a couple of years now, and the only problem I have had out of it is the plastic bracket that holds the primer slide guide rod has broke. I called hornady and I had to buy it, which was not a problem as I should have stopped when I felt the resistance so it was on me. I ran across a used 650 not to long ago and was about to start using it as well. But when comparing them side by side in person, I really didn't see a reason to start all over again because they are really comparable in quality. I think the Hornady wins on the quickness and cost of caliber changes imo. They are both fine machines but I ended up passing the 650 on to somebody else, mainly because I was already comfortable with using the hornady and I already have the case feeder for it. I would have had to buy that for the 650 so it really didn't make sense to go down that road.

The Hornady one does the same thing and is $100 cheaper. I do large rifle by weight and the Hornady has worked well for me. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/818489/hornady-lock-n-load-auto-charge-powder-scale-and-dispenser-110-220-volt

What year? I have a '14 2500 silverado and my back seat looks nothing like that. Matter of fact the hinge is in the back of the seat and folds up towards the back of the truck. These guys make some pretty good underseat storage for trucks http://www.duhabins.com/?gclid=Cj0KEQiAnJqzBRCW0rGWnKnckOIBEiQA6qDBahyomZSdBV7Ml9Uif18kmMpNXPbikwzABqqNuP1IyLIaAhUX8P8HAQ the one I got from them has rifle provisions in it.

Well this might make you feel a little better, I don't think it is you. I bought a new P226 extreme model, and it too shoots to the left. Had a buddy shoot it does the same with him. Actually have had a couple of different people try it and it does the same. My sites need to be drifted over without a doubt. I thought about doing it myself, but I paid a pretty good chunk for this one new and don't want to screw it up. I have also had a MK25 and shot them back to back, the MK would hit where I was pointing it.

That's exactly how I feel about glocks. Who woulda thunk it?

Talking to me about Progressive Presses
tmauto769 replied to CommsNBombs's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I loaded quite a few 9mm on mine in the year i had it, but I have also loaded a LOT more trouble free rounds with the lnl. Night and day difference. I just don't have the time or patience to deal with lee's quirks. -
Talking to me about Progressive Presses
tmauto769 replied to CommsNBombs's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I had a lee loadmaster progressive, had to many problems out of it and sold it for parts. I bought a Hornady LNL with a case feeder, and love it. I recently came across a dillon Xl650 in a package deal and was going to set it up, but it was so similar to what I already had in the LNL I just sold it to a member on here. I didn't see the point of spending more coin on what I had already. The dillons are a little more expensive to get set up for a caliber, but their warranty is better than Hornady's. I broke a priming part on the Hornady, and they made me pay for it, which I didn't mind I broke it. But from what I hear Dillon will replace something if you broke it, or it was their fault. I think I do like the hornady bushing setup a little better than the dillon tool head though. If you have a problem you can take just that die out if you need to quickly. 6 of one half a dozen of the other, buy which ever one you can get a better deal on imo. I will note that my lnl came with two of the same drop tubes, and Horndady did send me the correct one at no charge. So it isn't like they are total buttholes about the warranty, just not as generous as dillon. -
Same here.
