I can't give an opinion on the expensive one, but I bought the cheaper one and it works just fine.(its been awhile since I bought it so I don't remember which one is the cheaper of the two). Guns America sent out an email about a month ago saying that they were in lawsuit and the expensive one won the case, and the cheaper one is no more. So if you can find one, I say grab it, it is fun once in awhile, but I don't think the expensive one would be worth the coin.

Sent 1 in on 3/15, 2nd on 4/1, 3rd on 4/26 form 1's, have had 2 form 4's out since 1/28 and not a thing on any of them. -
I am thinking it is in the gas system as well. I had an adams arms .308 that was piston driven that would do the exact same thing as the op described. I solved mine by drilling the gas port in the barrel. After that, it ran like a champ. fwiw, I wouldn't hesitate to swap a bcg or even just the bolt itself from another working rifle to troubleshoot something, done it a few times with no problems.

I bought the savage as a host, although I am still waiting on the stamp. I will say it is alright for the money, but the stock is horrible. It is like it was built for a child. If you are an average sized adult or bigger, plan on a new stock. I will be buying a boyds stock for mine shortly.

no you do not, you can own it as an individual.

ha, almost doubled in 08 when obama took over. If anything he is one heck of a gun salesman. -
I find it funny that glock guys don't really like the 43 for the most part, and myself not really liking glocks, do like the 43. And I wear an XXL glove as well. Gun folks are a fickle bunch. Ever since my wife bought a 43, I have decided that will be what replaces my rami for summer carry.

I had thought about that when this mess all started, but then I thought there is no way they are going let something that easy slide. I hope it does and I guess we will see. I am thinking that you add someone to the trust they will have to be fingerprinted and photographed at that time, so it doesn't matter if you take them off or not. I wish there were a little more clarity on 41f
-
Same here, done with the trust. if for some reason I wanted something else, I would just send it in as an individual. I am pretty sure I have all I need/want though.

The wife has a 938 that has been flawless. She loves the thing, I like it, but like others my hands are to big for it. I would be pissed too if they gave me the run around like that. You would think with how much the 938 costs they would have some cushion in the profits to send you a prepaid shipping label?

CZ 75...is there a dealer north of Nashville who stocks these?

IMO the omega is a better trigger than the standard one. which isn't saying much, I spent quite a bit fixing the standard trigger on my 75b matte stainless, but how sweet it is. But if I had my choice when buying I would pick the omega trigger. -
You might want to research the cure times for the slab and the particular product you are using, that may not be enough time for the slab. Also the actual construction of the garage on a newly applied product may not be a good idea either. IMO you might want to wait until after the garage is up. While I don't do epoxy or quartz flooring, I do commercial ceramic, lvt, vct, and carpet, I personally wouldn't put a product on that new of a slab.

Same here, got mine all sent in, and that will be it for me.

From what I have found about Concave base or "hollow base" bullets is that to get the weight with the cavity the bullets need to be made longer, therefore you should be reducing the charge a little from the typical charge weights for flat based bullets. There really isn't a whole lot of load info out there on concave base bullets. I bought 4k of FMJ RN concave base 115gr bullets a couple of months ago and have been liking them. I worked up to 6gr of power pistol with them which seems to be a bit hot. So I backed it back down to 5.7gr of PP and they have been great other than the massive fireball that comes with using PP.

First Timer Questions: Hornady Custom Grade Dies
tmauto769 replied to ReeferMac's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Also starting out, I don't think you should be using titegroup, while it is a great powder it doesn't have a wide range between min and max loads. Maybe try using power pistol, although it does suck for the flash it produces, it has a huge range between min and max. so there is more room for error. I also use a shop vac for powder without issue. -

I picked one up at buds, and I am not impressed with it. Numerous FTE with 4 different kinds of ammo. I am hoping the thing just needs to break in but so far kind of disappointing. I need to clarify the FTE as well, it will cycle, but for some reason the empty comes out of the chamber but doesn't eject, then it is in the way of the new round getting stripped off the magazine. So as you can already guess this makes for a pain in the ass to clear.

changing caliber on an sbr
tmauto769 replied to tmauto769's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
My understanding of this is yes, as long as you keep an upper in the caliber/barrel length you got the stamp for. I am not wanting to keep a short barreled upper in .223 around if I am not going to use it. -
changing caliber on an sbr
tmauto769 replied to tmauto769's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I want to swap it to a .300 blk, vs .223. The reason I am asking about the letter is so I don't have to keep a .223 upper around "just in case". The stamp has 5.56 on it, and I didn't want any grief if I were asked to see the stamp by someone who matters. This particular lower says .223/5.56 and not "multi". -
Is there a form for doing this, if not how do you go about notifying the atf that you want to permanently change the caliber on an already tax paid sbr?

Thinking through reloading .223... how does this sound?

Does hornady even make the bullet feeder for rifle? I thought I read in my manual for the lnl ap that was for only pistol. I have a bullet feed die for 9mm and could never get it to feed consistently, although it isn't without is problems, the case feeder works good enough though. I would recommend tumbling over a sonic cleaner just for times sake. You either have to let it dry quite a long time or oven dry it and that is another step that you are trying to avoid. I haven't used mine to clean brass in awhile, but it does an excellent job of cleaning bolts though. Edit: I guess they do make one just googled it. don't know that I would fool with it personally though if it works like the pistol one I have.
