Facebook becomes Big Brother, closes pro-gun accounts
Mine is still up and everything on my page is related to guns or big loud non-environmentally friendly trucks.
I used to wonder at what point the American people would topple these little tyrants at the voting booth and then it occurred to me that with 50% of the public sucking at the government tit, that's just not going to happen. Now I'm starting to wonder at what point the minority of Americans who still believe in the value of the Constitution are going to reach their limit and start imparting "change" by more dramatic means.
Agree. I've never felt so much frustration with the intelligence of the voting populace as I have lately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The NRA needs to organize something. I believe most of us would show up at least locally. Heck, I've driven to Washington for lesser causes, so for this one I'd be willing to protest the anti-2A politicians in DC! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was thinking the same thing. Like anyone would give up a $2,000 AR for $200-$500. Lol But then again, if they banned ownership and made possession illegal, the value would plummet over night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if someone could actually get one million gun owners to stand on the mall, armed or unarmed, congress would truly take notice. Can you imagine a million armed people in DC? What would the cops do? It would be very interesting.
But how many DC laws would that break? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After reading this, I ask the question: Can they really force folks to do a buy back? http://m.washingtonexaminer.com/sen.-feinstein-suggests-national-buyback-of-guns/article/2516648#.UNsaRDO9Kc0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Youtube keeps taking it down.
What I do with vids that are important but get taken down is download real player and save it to my pc. Then you can upload and share it later. We should do this to the locals that publish CCW holders addresses as well. Let's see how they like their info being posted publicly. -

By all means, copy this and share it through social media. ;) FWIW, got it off Facebook via Gunowners. :) -

Everything is now an "assault" weapon and selling
JohnC replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I got in om my MEGA MATEN receiver set before the CT shooting and my Sig Sauer SIG716 after teh CT shooting but before any price increases, so I'm satisfied for now. I just wish ammo and mag prices would come back down, though! -
Everything is now an "assault" weapon and selling
JohnC replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
People are buying up everything because of stupid politicians threatening all sorts of horrible anti-gun legislation. Just look at what CT plans to do: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/56830-future-gun-control-for-ct-in-2013/ So I don't blame anyone for paying a little premium now versus old prices to secure the firearms they want. Because after Obama and the rest of the get done hacking up the 2nd amendment, it'll probably be nearly impossible to get an AR, etc. -
Have a look on the senatedems.CT.gov site at new gun legislation coming out in 2013: http://www.senatedems.ct.gov/pr/bye-121220.php
Sen. Bye and Rep. Godfrey‘s proposals—which will be packaged as one bill—will seek to: •Prohibit the sale and possession of any rifle, shotgun or pistol magazine with a capacity of more than 10 rounds; •Expand the definition of an ‘assault weapon’ under current Connecticut state law to apply to firearms which exhibit just one particular physical trait, as opposed to two (i.e., the presence of a pistol grip beneath the action of the weapon); •Require the registration with state law enforcement officials—and the biennial registration renewal—of all firearms by model and serial number; •Institute a 50-percent sales tax on the sale of ammunition and firearms magazines; •Require a permit to purchase ammunition; •Prohibit the online purchase of ammunition; •Prohibit the purchase of ammunition in Connecticut by anyone who is not legally authorized to possess a firearm in Connecticut; •Prohibit the storage of firearms and ammunition in a manner that allows access by persons under age 18.
Will this be what future gun control will look like? :shake: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How have you reacted personally? Bought guns? Mags? Ammo?
JohnC replied to hipower's topic in General Chat
I didn't panic buy, but I did buy what I had been wanting for a while. I had already ordered a MEGA MATEN 308 receiver set before the shooting, but wanted another AR in 308 now to hold me over while I built the mega. So I picked up a SIG 716 and 3 spare magpul 20rd mags. Before the shooting I had also ordered 500 rds of M855, and it took over 2 weeks for them to ship it, so it just went out Friday. Fixing to order more 308 mags soon as I find them and about 1000 rds of 308 FMJ. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I signed it a few days back when I found it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why not just order a lower from a place like D&T? Just expect a long wait for it! I ordered a MEGA MATEN upper and lower set before this shooting spree and the wait was 4 months. Right after the shooting a billet MEGA receiver set, according to D&T, was 6 to 8 months wait. Might be a longer wait than that now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys! I can't wait to break it in! :hyper:

They're out of stock everywhere I called and looked except Specialty Arms II. Like I said, last night when they closed they had 2 Bushmaster 308's, 1 DPMS 308, and 1 FN SCAR 308. I can't say how long they'll last since stores are all selling out AR's fast! The AR's in 308 are the most scarce.

These clowns try to take our gun rights away again and I think the people will revolt. Seriously. People are on edge enough with the lack of jobs, the catastrophe Obamacare (TAX), the increase in other taxes, increase in health care costs due to Obama care, the weak economy, endless wars, crap like Benghazi and Embassy fiasco, fast and Furious, the recent not-war in Libya, US Debt, Fiscal Cliff, The Fed doing endless QE3 devaluing our USD, etc., and the list goes on and on. The last damn thing they need to be focusing on is more freaking anti-second amendment legislation. :livid:

Yeah, I was shocked he was keeping honest and not price gouging like some of the online retailers were doing. I picked up my Sig Sauer SIG716 ODG for $1999 + tax and FFL at Specialty Arms today. http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/sig716-patrol-odg.aspx
