  1.   So what is TN law on this stuff?
  2. In this video he says 50lbs is the legal limit for regular folks to set off?   http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=sFJZeTQh4-A
  3. Seems the bill is being held up: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/63308-important-2nd-am-bill-needs-help-in-tennessee/
  4. Wow, sorry to hear of this! He's definitely in my prayers and has my best wishes for a full speedy recovery!
  5.   JR is a cool guy. I assure you he is not for infringing on folks 2A rights.
  6.   But think of the money you'll save on future purchases.   Do you really buy NFA items/guns for investments?
  7.   It needs to be challenged ASAP because we have a 5 to 4 split with SCOTUS. One of those conservative judges retires of passes away and Obama gets to appoint a new one, we're screwed!

    Let's see your AR's

    Sig 716 .308/7.62x51
  9. I don't trust the house republicans anymore than I do the senate democrats, so let's not relax until this whole thing is permanently shot down!   Keep calling, signing petitions, and writing those letters, folks!
  10. Cool video. Thanks for sharing!
  11. I think NFA items should be sold just as regular firearms are. I feel it should be nullified because if you can buy anything semi auto and up to a 50 BMG already under the current background checks for non-NFA items, you'd clear the FBI check anyway.   I believe the NFA process was put in to place just to make it more difficult and more expensive to discourage folks from buying these firearms and other related items, which is unconstitutional in my opinion.
  12. If anyone on this board scored this Sig 716, come back in here and post it up!
  13. My wife and I are looking in to this trust thing since it would allow us to share NFA items.   Will let you all know how it goes as I start the process.
  14. I paid $1999.97 + TN tax and background for my ODG Sig 716 at Specialty Arms II and that day there were guys standing in line waiting an hour and a half for their background checks to come back because so many people were buying guns. I was the last to leave that gun shop and it was after their closing hours it took so long.   But hey, just giving folks a heads up that might have been searching for a new 308 AR. Don't care if folks think it is a deal or not. But It seemed pretty reasonable to me for the times because a lot of gun shops are price gouging now. Trust me, I seen a lot of over priced AR's lately and this one is still slightly under Sig's MSRP.   http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/sig716-patrol.aspx   Anyway, if it didn't sale tonight, better get there asap in the morning because on a Saturday after a payday (15th), I don't see it lasting long on the shelf.
  15. I told them I was snapping pics to post on a local gun forum and they didn't care. ;)
  16. They got a case of American eagle 150gr FMJ on the counter top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. There is 1 Sig 716 in stock at Opry Mills Bass Pro as of this posting for $2099 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The above article I edited in states "Setting up a gun trust will generally run you between $300 and $1000."   So that's added cost on top of the $200 stamp and the cost of the suppressor. But a trust does have a lot of positives, too.   I think you can go through this site and get hooked up with a trust: http://www.guntrustlawyer.com/states/tennessee/
  22.   Only way I'd do that is if it is cheaper and easier. I doubt it is, but correct me if I'm wrong.   Edit: Found this http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/04/jim-barrett/idea-of-the-day-setting-up-an-nfa-gun-trust/   And this: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/02/jim-barrett/how-to-buy-a-suppressor-using-an-nfa-trust/
  23. He's got my vote!
  24. So have you nailed down the distance for sure? What yardage will it be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25.   You're right. I had copied the post from these folks that posted it wrong:   Look down their page for "HB47"   http://www.facebook.com/TennesseeTenthAmendmentCenter   and their youtube says the same:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hop94ISKoPs
