Don't expect these Progressive RINO's to be real Conservatives and Libertarians when it comes down to it. They're wolves in sheep's clothing, basically Progressive Democrats running as Republicans. If people would wake up and infiltrate both parties with real free-market constitutional Libertarians and Conservatives, things would start to improve.

Explosive Materials Background Check Act Revealed
JohnC replied to JohnC's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think most folks think all the anti-gun stuff is over, so we need to spread the word around about this. We also need to start sending letters and calling these idiots again to make sure this doesn't go anywhere. -
Explosive Materials Background Check Act Revealed Posted on May 7, 2013 by Nick Leghorn We’ve reported on Frank Lautenberg’s knee-jerk Explosive Materials Background Check Act before, but now that the full text has been released people have begun to parse out exactly how bad this thing is. Unfortunately, since it simply re-writes existing law instead of creating new law, it’s fairly hard to understand all the moving parts. Jesse over at Predator Intelligence has a document he put together that shows how the EMBCA amends Federal law to screw over gun owners. Here’s what I take away from this . . . Requires those who want to use black or smokeless powder to obtain a “limited†explosives license. ANY AMOUNT OF LOOSE BLACK OR SMOKELESS POWDER WOULD REQUIRE SUCH A PERMIT. Commercial small arms ammunition (finished cartridges) is exempt. For now. The bill redefines “manufacturer†in terms of explosives to mean anyone who makes something that goes boom, even if it isn’t for sale or profit. Previously, you needed to be “in the business†of manufacturing to qualify as a manufacturer, which means making a profit from your endeavors. As the current law makes the manufacture of an explosive without a license illegal, this is pretty clearly a stab at making tannerite and other binary explosives that people assemble themselves illegal. It expands the factors that would exclude someone from purchasing “explosive materials†to include those who have a restraining order against them. Restricts those who are suspected of being terrorists or on one of the many secret terrorist watch lists from obtaining a license for explosive materials, turning the “shall issue†explosives permit process into a “may issue†permit at the Attorney General’s discretion. And they don’t have to tell you why you were denied, or provide a means of redress. In short, it looks like this bill is specifically designed to restrict the ability of those who load their own ammunition or use black powder firearms from buying the components that fuel their activities. Keep in mind that right now, gun stores don’t need an additional license to sell black powder or smokeless powder. You can even buy it online and have it shipped to your door for a modest fee. Should this bill pass, gun owners would need to pay $50 every three years to buy and store gunpowder. And gun stores would need a whole new set of licenses to sell the stuff. This is an immense financial burden to law abiding Americans involved with firearms, and doesn’t do a damned thing about fireworks. Or pressure cookers. I've not heard that, but I'll look in to it. If that is the case, maybe I shouldn't even fire it. lol

29% Think Armed Revolution Needed
JohnC replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The frog should have never got caught in the first place. He might jump out of the pot, but his capture and cook will just corner him the kitchen, toss him back in the pot and trap him with the lid. This is not directed toward anyone in specific, just don't want to post twice, so...... . . . ___________________________________________________________________________________ Where are folks strategies? Thinking beyond the first step? No alternative methods before the last resort? If the left-wing socialists and communists were this "all or nothing", they'd marched against our government and all been killed a long time ago. It would have definitely made our life easier, right? We wouldn't even be battling them in our education, media and political systems today. But the reason they're winning today is because they chose the right way to fight for what they wanted; the long hard road of changing the education system, media, and taking over the political parties, etc. Why can't anyone here come together and put in the hard work like they have to change it back? Do you want to make the fight easier for them to win? A preemptive attack with lack of support from your fellow citizens will only backfire on you. It will also help make the case for the left-wing to revoke our second amendment as well. Just look how close we came with the last mentally ill nuts that shot up a few folks. Can you imagine the backlash from an armed rebellion of right-wingers trying to overthrow our current administration? What a freaking fiasco that would be! I stand where I've stated. We're not there yet. The education system is where you will find your win. You can't change the old minds that are made up, but you can plant the seeds in the new minds growing up. We can also infiltrate one or both political parties like the left-wing has done. Now that would be a fun battle to fight! Or you can grab your little rifles with a couple thousand rounds, dig in, be labeled a terrorist and get killed in a very short time, which will result in absolutely no positive political change. As already mentioned, it would probably be the reverse, negative change, as it would be used as propaganda to revoke the second amendment and label us all terrorists and crazies. Choose your life or death. -
29% Think Armed Revolution Needed
JohnC replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No one said that. It's not about measuring things by the asleep sheeple voting for a bad president. Hell, that's all been done before. One of them in my lifetime that comes to mind is, Carter. Do you think revolution at that time would have worked better than Reagan? We're not that far gone. This isn't Soviet Russia. Go back and read my posts again. A fight too early would be a very bad idea. Right now, not everyone agrees with you. Your support would be small. Your government would label your small resistance a pack of right-wing terrorists and you'd be killed quickly and easily by those who still hold their oath to protect the citizens, the USA in general and the constitution. Fighting now or before any real tyranny, you'd be the equivalent of the Boston Bombers in the eye of peaceful Americans and LE for trying to attack our government and politicians. You'd be hunted down and killed. You'd probably not even make it 2-3 days before your slaughter even if you were very well trained. But if it becomes a dictatorship with no constitutional rights, folks being jailed or killed by Govt just for their political beliefs, etc., (Mao's China, Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, etc.,) then you will have reason to fight and all the support you'd ever need. Plus, most of those Americans in LE, Military, SWAT, FBI, CIA, etc., would probably take your side as they're all Americans like us and would want their freedom and liberties restored. When freedom and liberty can be restored peacefully, it should be done peacefully. If your government is violent and jailing or killing citizens wrongfully for their political and religious beliefs, no constitutional protections, etc., then you can have your fight. Make sense? -
29% Think Armed Revolution Needed

The time to fight armed would be when there was absolutely nothing left and no other choice but to fight to save your life and liberty. That scenario would be when folks have no voice (no freedom of speech), no voting rights (dictatorship), and getting jailed or killed just for opposing a political party. Again, Mao's China, Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, etc. But we are far far from that at this point. We still have time to fix this mess. Again, start at the bottom with education. It is the best and fastest route to winning. -
29% Think Armed Revolution Needed

Armed revolution would be the absolute last resort. I mean, it would have to be BAD! Govt would have to be like Mao's China, Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, etc. We're not even near a point in which we'd need to take up arms and fight. Our elections still work without too much corruption, so we still have a voice and we can change things if we get off our asses and physically start pressuring these few socialists and communists in our system. Trust me, just like gangsters, there is always a small group in power controlling things. They're the minority (right now they're our wealthy ruling class elites) and we're the majority. If we all stand up, they'll retreat to the secret back rooms like the rat-bastards they are. I think I read it in Rules For Radicals, but somewhere in the book it stated violence basically will turn the sheeple against you since generally they'll side with the peaceful group. When there is violent armed fighting, people will want a quick end to it. So when your enemy is in power, you will just give them the excuse to turn their better weapons on YOU! You'll be slaughtered by real military weapons and equipment. Just look at how Waco, Ruby Ridge, Dorner, the hunt for the recent Boston Bombers, and Terrorists in Iraq in the cities get killed. A square box with paper walls and vinyl siding with you thinking your pile of guns and ammo will be enough against an army of SWAT or Military and all the technology is a joke. Because make no mistake, if you take up arms and start a fight, you WILL be labeled a terrorist by this current administration and you will be hunted as such! That is why most of left-wing socialist and communists chose the long hard road of taking over our education system, media, political system, etc., and indoctrinating and propagandizing us to the point we're at now. They knew if they tried to do it by force, they would be easily killed. Just remember this quote slightly out of context from Rules for Radicals: The essence of Lenin's speeches... "They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and reformation through he ballot. When we have the guns, then it will be through the bullet." And it was. If you think you'll make it in an armed rebellion against a bunch of political elites that have been trained by radicals, and read tactics like this from their favorite dictators and revolutionaries throughout history, you'll only end up dead or wounded and jailed. There is still time to change things peacefully. But that process has to start now. I suggest starting with our education system. We got to take it back. Once you take it back, you'll be cranking out Americans, not indoctrinated socialists and communists. They will go out in to the system and start taking the jobs of the old retiring socialists and communists in education, media, politics, judges, lawyers, news agencies, etc. They will win this battle for you. You'll never have to fight with a single bullet if you do it like that. Otherwise, if we sit on our asses and don't put in the work like the left did to change the system, we lose and they win. Their victory will be because we were too lazy to put in the time and work it takes to secure the future of America as originally intended by our founders for the next generation. -

Ha! I didn't notice it because it was on the bottom of the box. Loaded in the USA by Fiocchi, USA.

I don't know much about the ammo except that the 40gr blue tip bullets are made by Hornady. I'll try to find out later for you though.

Thanks, Robert! I hope to get a range report asap. One thing I can say about it for now is, it is light weight, feels good in my hands and has one of the best trigger pulls I've felt on a semi-auto pistol. I think all that coupled with low recoil should make it an accurate pistol! http://youtu.be/Z24qwPoCqUo

Ammo is a PITA to find. Never see it in stock locally or online and when it does show up, it is always $1 a round. Way over priced for such a small round. Can't wait until prices come back down.
