  2. Christ! I had no idea one small case of BP could do that much damage being it has an open end to vent.   Why did the case explode? Did you have it covered with your hand or?

  6. Not me. I had to work at my real job. :\ I've not made it back since the day I signed up and let him fire the 50. My membership is still there; I've not picked it up yet. lol Guess I might head up there this week.
  7. I've got a Beretta and love it in every way. I'm very accurate with it as well. It functions well and is smooth as butter. Love the safety, double action, etc. But I wouldn't want to carry it because it just feels too big, bulky and heavy. The Glock would carry a little better. But if I'm going to carry something in that size, I'd rather carry my FN Five-seveN because with 20rds in the mag, it still feels lighter and smaller than both of those.
  8. Best Glock ever made is the one that you own. :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro v2.2

  10. I think the Bad News Noreen is about the same price and comes in 338 LM and 300 WM. http://www.onlylongrange.com/badnews.asp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro v2.2
  11. Went through the same thing back when I was about 17. I was cutting the grass for my neighbor to help her out after her husband got killed in a motorcycle wreck, was behind her fence mowing by the railroad tracks and started stinging in a few spots. I thought I ran over something like thorns because I had what looked like thorns in a few spots where I was stinging. Went inside to cool off a bit and then went back out to finish. I mowed the rest of a strip and while I was on the next, I saw them come out of a small hole in the ground. They tore me up and like you, I had a ton of stings. They were up my pants legs, etc. My other neighbors were laughing their butts off because they seen me running towards the house stripping out of my pants. Lol So yeah, I know how it feels! 12. And we have another semi-auto 338 LM! Alexander Arms Ulfberht .338 Lapua Magnum http://www.gunsandammo.com/2013/08/22/first-look-alexander-arms-ulfberht-338-lapua-magnum/

  14. Carr will get my vote over that Progressive RINO Alexander!
  15. Here is another case: http://blog.pe.com/2013/08/18/lake-elsinore-man-with-exploding-targets-is-arrested-deputies-say/
  16. Wow. What are you driving? j/k lol
  17. I believe some laws really are written to make felons out of folks like freedom loving gun owners; a progressive anti-2a agenda.   Kind of like how they're now treating a lo of kids in school when they draw a gun, or bring a Hello Kitty bubble gun to school (treat them like a murdering terrorist instead of like back in the old days before I was born, schools taught gun safety and had shooting teams).   http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/338167/gun-clubs-school-charles-c-w-cooke
  18.   If he plead guilty to a felony, that is not going to go away.   It sounds like he plead guilty to 1 felony and got a 3 years suspended, replaced by probation and an ankle bracelet.   I guess he is confined to home and work for the next 3 years. One screw up and he's going to the penitentiary to serve the time.
  19. Looks like he got a Felony.... http://www.gofundme.com/3td4yw?utm_campaign=Emails&utm_source=sendgrid.com&utm_medium=email     That's a pretty raw deal....
  20. Check this out! http://vimeo.com/72010412
  21.   In all the hustle testing the 50, doing membership and safety, I forgot to ask. Sorry. :meh:   I'll ask when I get back down there.
  22.   He is not getting all the fees as 100% profit in his bank account.   Some goes to TN sales tax, TN property tax, some goes to keep the range maintained, equipment, insurance, employee fees (he mentioned he has a secretary and there was another guy working doing memberships), that $50 application is for the time to do background checks, etc.   Then, he is not getting the full membership fee out of the 500 members.   Seniors and vets get $25 off. Family members of head of household get in for $25 + $50 application fee.   Because all the father and son memberships, I bet that cuts down on his revenue a lot.   Anyway, go check the place out. I think you'll find this range is worth it.
  23.   I was thinking of the Hornady AMAX 50 BMG. Surly that stuff doesn't have the spread like ball ammo.
  24.   I might go down to Terry's and just use the PMC 50A ammo because afterwards,  I'd like to also check the spread on this stuff.
  25.   Not sure what your asking here.   If you think he's charging more because of having longer ranges, that's not the case. It's more to do with upkeep and amenities.   Trust me, that fee is a drop in the bucket for what folks are getting. This guy has built a really nice range and at these rates, I doubt he's making a dime off this right now.
