1.
Shouldn't you be strolling about WalMart right now? Congrats!
I took my maiden voyage this morning. Carried the FNH Five-seveN. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro v2.2
2. Umm.... :leaving:
3. Yep! Feels so American! :usa:
4. Submitted everything and did the fingerprints by the 18th of Sept, got the TN HCP today in the mail 12th of Oct. I thought it would take a lot longer than that. But that wasn't too bad of a wait. :)
5. He handled it last night and said he liked it much better now. He's more of a revolver and bolt action guy, so he didn't like the Ruger adjustable stock. He felt it was a bit loose on the buffer tube, too. This didn't start out as the lightest AR, and it gained some weight, but for what he wants to do with it (shoot from the bench), it's perfect. 6. Tacticool enough? Did some work on my Dads Ruger SR556 today. Box stock: Part of the teardown: Before the scope & strapped in the case to see if it fit with new rifle stock: Done! 8.   If you get one of those 3 gun triggers from Giessle that allows for a shorter pull to fire and reset, I think all that jumping around would be much more minimal and aim would be improved.   This is a route I'm going to take with my Colt so I can bump-fire it easier.
9. That was my point. For now. I don't really view the ACA as a constitutional law based on them labeling a fine a tax, etc. More on that later. ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro v2.2
10. They add the fine/tax to your income tax. If you overpaid, it will be deducted. If you owe, it will be added to the negative balance. So we can assume your fine/tax will be collected in the same way as your income taxes are. As folks refuse to comply, trust me, they will pass more laws and regulations to enforce this tax/fine collection down the road. Right now, they won't be too hard lined because they got to get folks liking this crap, but once this socialist health care system is built, they will enforce it via the IRS. 11. This just shows you who is in power/controlling things right now.   If they get enough illegals, folks voting for a living, and voting for their health care, the left-wing will be guaranteed to win all future elections.
12. I want a Giessle 3 gun trigger for my Colt. I'd like a SSA-E for my Sig 716. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro v2.2
13. But it does state clearly that the IRS will deduct the fine from your tax return if you overpaid in income tax. If you broke even, you will now owe the fine to the IRS just like owing income tax. If you already owed the IRS, the fine will be added to what you already owe. You make the payment when you file your 2014 taxes, which are due in April 2015. Good luck dodging the fine because I doubt they'll let folks avoid for long! They're just being lenient right now to get folks used to the law. But as it goes on and folks refuse to comply, they'll pass more laws/regulations to give them more power to take that money from you.
14. Some good shooting, all! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro v2.2
15. Yeah, forcing folks to buy health care or pay a fine that is supposedly a tax was also unconstitutional until recently. ;)
16. Thanks, guys! I'll check it out!
17. So my Dad didn't like the adjustable stock on his Ruger SR556 and asked me to order a Magpul PRS Precision-Adjustable Stock to replace it. http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG307/181 It is my understanding that the factory tube won't work and I need a smooth round tube, correct? Which tube would be the proper length, what's the best brand, etc., for this rifle? Does it also require a new spring and why? With this being a gas piston gun, will after-market springs give the gun issues? Thanks.
18. This madness needs to stop!
19. And that's how we got to this point..... People don't take the time to research and learn anything about the govt, politicians and what they're doing.   And with the media we have nowadays, the information is so screwed up, biased, and in a lot of cases false, it's not wonder.   These people hear a quick message come across the radio or news and that's all they know. That and hearsay.
20.   Not just catching on. Just learning of the technicalities in the law.
21. So this is saying these fines are PER PERSON? Really? :stunned: But that is a game changer right there! ---------- Post added at 06:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 PM ---------- So a married family of 4 making a combined income of $100,000.00 a year would pay at the first year 0.01% rate: Tax/Fine Husband $1,000.00 Tax/Fine Wife $1,000.00 Child 1 $47.50 Child 2 $47.50 ________________________ Total to the IRS for first year uninsured = $2,095.00 Then the second year Tax/Fine at 0.025% at combined income of $100,000.00 Tax/Fine Husband $2,500.00 Tax/Fine Wife $2,500.00 Child 1 $47.50 Child 2 $47.50 ________________________ Total to the IRS for second year uninsured = $5,095.00 Really? I'm reading this correctly? They expect a family of 4 to pay that much and get nothing for it? IMHO Supreme court ruled this a tax. This can't be a tax because you're not buying anything. No product, no service, nothing with any value! It is a FINE for not buying a product! This needs to be challenged again at SCOTUS over and over again from every possible angle until it is overturned!
22. I did some digging on the tax/fine if you don't want nor have health insurance and this is what I found on the Govt site. Based on a $100,000.00 yearly gross income. The fine/tax is 1% of your gross income for the first year. $100,000.00 x 0.01% would be $1,000.00 to the tax/fine! The second year will be 2.5% of your gross yearly income. $100,000.00 x 0.025% would be $2,500.00 to the tax/fine! I've not been able to locate the fine/tax for the 3rd year and beyond. But if it keeps increasing, you will eventually find it cheaper to buy health insurance. Keep in mind, this buys you absolutely ZERO health insurance and no subsidized Govt coverage. It is just that, a fine/tax and you're still 100% financially liable for any medical costs you incur. If you do not pay it, they will take it directly from your tax return if you have overpaid on your taxes, or they'll add the negative balance to your return and you'll owe the IRS that amount. That is my understand via the Govt HC site. Welcome to being taxed/fined or forced to buy something just for living and being an American citizen!
23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_xwnVLC-YQ and when they screw it up, how will they pay for it? Let's let Keynesian Economics Elitist Paul Krugman explain how: Who is he? Paul Krugman Krugman: "Death panels and sales taxes is how we do this" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9u2Lf0DdzA If you want to go farther, look at Ezekiel Emanuel and his healthcare rationing (read the pdf they wrote) You know, Rahm Emanuel's brother. (pdf below) Look at the rationed care curve. Ezekiel Emanuel's (and the two others who helped write it) came up with this and medical colleges are teaching this as part of ethics. lol See page 6 of 9 for the graph. http://bme.ccny.cuny.edu/faculty/mbikson/Courses/BMESeniorDesign/EthicsOfHealthRationing.pdf Betsy McCaughey: Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel Wants Health-Care Rationing - WSJ.com Posted just so you know where we're headed......
