  1. You'll never get your hearing back 100%. I'm 38, but been around guns my whole life, add drag cars and loud music to that mix since I grew up in the late 80's to early 90's when audio system were the big thing, and I've noticed a constant ringing (tinnitus) and I'm completely tone deaf to some sounds. Like some digital beeps for timers, etc., I can't hear them at all. Sometimes I don't even hear a text message on my iPhone if there is enough background noise. Speaking of background noise, if I'm in a place with a lot of people talking and loud noise, it gets real difficult to hear what people are saying even when they're just sitting right across the table from me in a restaurant. I've been shooting guns ever since I was old enough to have my dad help me hold one. I can't tell you how many times I've had my plugs out and someone fire a gun beside me before I could get my plugs in. One of my worst instances was I didn't bring my muffs to wear with my cheapy foam ear plugs and fired my 50 BMG (AR50-A1B) at a range with concrete floor and low tin roof. My hearing went to zero, and slowly came back after a weird noise like "cheeeerrrrooooommmeee" and then some bad ringing from there on out. :meh: So that said, do like me. I put extra ear plugs everywhere in my gear so if I ever forget my muffs, at least I have plugs. Sometimes that works out when other folks forget theirs, I can give them a set. All my rifle cases have 2 or 3 sets, my range box has a whole pack. I even keep them in the console in all my vehicles. :)
  2. You people need to call their techs to come out and get your connection fixed. There is no reason to be paying for 105Mbps and getting 30-40Mbps. They will fix the issue. If you get a bad or lazy tech, call again. Keep calling them for service until they get it fixed.
  3. Harris Teeter is a decent place, albeit, a bit more expensive, though. I've not shopped there a whole lot. But with this news, I won't mind donating a little extra to support them. This motivates me to go there a bit more often no less.
  4. There is also this NFA legal fight going on now: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/82455-help-overturn-18-usc-922o-nfa/
  5. That's super nice!
  6. Grip Zone really sounds like they're marketing basketballs to school kids. This isn't a toy, so why are they marketing it with cheesy crap written on the grip like its being sold at a local Wal-Mart toy department in da the hood?
  7. Unfortunately, the fight over 2A rights will never end. We might get a small victory by having the senate and house, but they'll be back fighting against 2A rights when they get their left-wing Democrats and Progressive RINO republicans back in power. And watch out on the local level. Washington just took a huge blow to 2A rights over I-594. Bloomberg and his billionaire cronies are trying to pass anti-2A law/regulations at the state level now.
  8. There is no correlation between CO2 and Warming.   Looking at un-adjusted climate history shows that when CO2 decreases, warming increases and when CO2 increases, warming decreases.   H2O is actually more of a greenhouse gas than CO2.   The ocean is actually the #1 emitter of CO2 fwiw.   If you all recall, in the 1970's, they were saying that humans were polluting the air so much that particulates were blocking the sun, causing cooling and they were sure that humans were going to cause another ice age. lol   Anyway... some videos I came across surfing youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52Mx0_8YEtg   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-x4YbXZtIA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LkMweOVOOI The bottom line is this. CO2 is a byproduct of human civilization. By blaming CO2 supposedly caused by humans for an apocalyptic warming of earth is the perfect excuse for Govt and globalists at the UN to control, regulate people and tax people.
  9. You win! :lmao:
  10. done
  11. I hate that "grip zone" written on the grip. What were they thinking? :meh:
  12. No 45acp no care.
  13. What is the likelihood of a ban being passed now that we have republican majorities in the house and senate?
  14. I'll tell you a big loss for 2A... Washington I594. :(
  15. If I was a LEO, I don't think I'd be risking my life in many car chases. If I could get the plate, I'd let them go and catch up to them at their house with a warrant for evading, etc. I understand if it is a stolen car and you haven't ID'd the driver yet, or it was from a violent crime and the perps were a danger to self and/or others and also not ID'd yet. But evading because of a suspended license, etc., the person would probably slow down once pursuit ended thinking they got away and you could serve them at home. There should be some hierarchal scale like this to keep officers from having to chase everyone and endanger their own lives so often.
  16. Excellent. Nice mix of shotguns and pistols here! Well, and a few rifles.
  17. Let's see some more! :D
  18. Oh, on my wife's side of the bed is a S&W M&P Shield 40 and a Ruger Security Six 357mag with HP's.
  19. My Beretta 92FS 9mm was my home defense pistol for years. Since I pull my carry pice off and leave it by the bed, the Beretta has gone in the closet.
  20. My wife wanted me to put the Mossberg M590A1 9 shot pump out, but I told her no because we have wood floors here and I was afraid it would slip or get bumped and knocked over. Does Glock have high-cap mags for the 45acp? I've never seen anything but 9mm in high cap.
  21. I was bored, so I decided to take a picture of my bedside home defense weapons. Usually, that consists of what ever carry piece I am deciding between because I alternate them depending on weather, how I'm dressed and where I'm going. These happen to be the two I've chosen over the past few days since I got back from a trip to CA. FN Five-seveN and Springfield XDs 45 on a temp table because I've not unpacked everything from moving to a new place. I added the extra mags for the heck of it. I never carry extra mags. :no
  22. That's a good looking blade! How much was it?
  23. Hit over $40k now... First complaint issued. http://www.scribd.com/doc/245057730/Hollis-v-Holder-Complaint
