  1. Yeah, it's like at 96% "no" now with over 70,000 votes.
  2. Pass it on to other gun forums you're on, too.
  3. I voted: "No. Laws like this unnecessarily punish lawful gun owners and will do little to prevent mass shootings."
  4. Vote now! :) http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/poll-support-connecticut-gun-law-state/
  5. I had to google to see what you were talking about. And holy cow! I didn't know it was this easy to defeat a deadbolt! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2npDVM0_-vQ As a side note, my parents shed, someone tried to beat and pry the lock off. We noticed it about 2 weeks back. I checked the front door and it had paint chipped in the same place almost as the door pictured in this thread. So my folks are putting a whole new steel door and frame on the house, etc., and getting a new alarm. I still don't think anything will protect a home aside from an armed guard or being home and armed yourself. :meh:
  6. I feel bad for them. I can't even watch them anymore because they get beat so badly in every way.
  7. Corporate greed? I agree not all Corps are good, but there is a lot more to the equation than just corp greed. Remember when good ol' Bill Clinton signed NAFTA? Recall the steel workers losing their jobs over night and then getting rusty Russian steel off the boat in the place of US made steel? They told us we wouldn't lose jobs and it would open the door for more companies to move to America from foreign lands, but the opposite has occurred because American labor costs much more than Mexico, China and India, where they making most of our "stuff" now. You see, it's like Socialism, just think in Global terms here. They have to bring us down, the value of the USD, our pay, lifestyle, wealth, etc., so the rest of the world can get a slice. It is all by design via the UN globalists types running the show. Take it fwiw.
  8. Agree. Carry a FNH 5.7x28 with a spare 20rd factory mag and you got 40rds. Carry the after-market Pro-Mag 30rd extended mag and you got 50rds. Carry it with two (1 in gun 1 spare) 30rd Pro-Mags and you got 60 rds. Overkill, but if you want to be a mass-shooting prepper, 40-50 or even 60 rounds between 2 mags should be plenty I'd think. If you can't take out the perp with the first 2 or 3, you'll probably be dead anyway. lol http://www.fnhusa.com/l/products/handguns/five-seven/ http://www.brownells.com/magazines/handgun-magazines/magazines/fn-five-seven-30rd-5-7x28mm-magazine-prod41387.aspx
  9. That one looks special and sort of worries me.
  10. The key is to say hello, shake hands, make a comment and allow them to either exit or carry on a conversation. If they have time and want to, they'll chat. If not, they'll exit.
  11. I was just burning a Macanudo and grabbed some pipe tobacco. :) My favorite are the Robust, but I can never find them anymore for some reason. http://macanudo.com/cigars/macanudo-robust/

    H&K USP .45

If you want to go that big, why not the FNX 45 that holds 15 + 1 rounds? http://www.fnhusa.com/l/products/handguns/fnx-series/fnx-45/ Heck, in the winter, I'd carry this. http://www.fnhusa.com/l/products/handguns/fnx-series/fnx-45-tactical/
  13. Yeah, he is very cool. I'd loved to have him for a teacher (I hear he is or was a teacher). I could tell he didn't have much time to chat, but he still made time to inform me on a good pocket carry gun and shake my hand.
  14.   Well that's cool!   I'm ready for a M107A1, but my wallet isn't there yet.
  15. Yup. Cigar Club.
  16. That's the first thing my Dad said -- "He's tall. I didn't think he was that tall." I already knew he was tall because I'd seen him at one of the local Pro-2A rallies.
  17. I bumped in to Hickok45 today. Had a quick conversation about pocket carry pistols. He's a very nice guy! It kind of made my day! I meant to ask him if he wanted to do a video on the 50BMG via my ArmaLite AR50-A1B, but it slipped my mind. So if you're reading this, Hickok, and you want to shoot it, PM me! 18. Because it is suppressor ready. Comes with three 15rd mags for 15+1 capacity. Slide cut and threaded for optional electronic red-dot sight. Raised night sights for suppressor use. I love FNH and it'll go good with my FN Five-seveN :D Etc....
  19. Wow... Just wow..... I have no clue what that is. Hope he finds out and gets it fixed, though.
  20. I totally agree. It'll take a "progressive" reversal to get there. But when can fight them on every level on the road to the end goal. Keeping them busy fighting our battles rather than us fighting theirs is the best plan. We can win small battles within the larger fights (taking a page out of the progressive playbook) and make major progress collectively over time.
  21. The entire NFA needs to be abolished. I'm sure you all agree. :)
  22. Bigger than 50 BMG? I like to have fell over after shooting my 50 BMG with just cheapy foamn plugs under a low tin roof and concrete floor. It was drizzling rain, too, so not sure if that made it worse or not. Did your hearing ever do like i described? The 50 blast took my hearing completely out for a couple secs and then I heard a noise like cheeeeerrrrroooommmme or something, and then it came back slowly with a lot of ringing. :meh: Sitting here now, nothing but silence and my ringing ears. Mine isn't as bad as you describe, but it's annoying when it gets quiet.
  23. If the smaller the gun the larger the penis, then I've got something to show you because I carry my FN Five-seveN through the cold months.
