  OK, so how do these people find out "why" they got denied from an agency that doesn't want to tell them anything and how do they get them to tell them how to "fix" whatever is causing the false denials (identity mix up, records screw up)?   Anyone that's getting denied actually get the above answered and fixed permanently?

I'd definitely be in for one if they made it. :)   I like the polymer cover on my Five-seveN because when carrying all the time, I don't worry about it getting wear like I do with the metal coatings like Glock uses, and then there is the benefit of the weight savings.   One of the main reasons I don't carry a gun like my Beretta 92FS is that thing feels way too heavy hanging off a belt or paddle holster.    And I like carrying my full size pistols in the winter just because they're concealable with the winter clothes.    I go back the the Shield 40 and XDs 45 in the summer, though.

    Yeah, that would really piss me off!    I think it is time for folks to start complaining to the TBI. 

For me, it's price. As long as it's cheap, reliable, and not ugly, I'll buy it!

This crap happens all too often. I think the TICS system is severely flawed and everyone needs to find a way to file some sort of complaint so they will improve these false denials.

I agree.   I know the Ecoboost TT V6 will make good power, but they could have improved the V8 6.2L SOHC in to a all aluminum direct injected 6.2L DOHC coyote.   I mean, if the Coyote in the Mustang makes 435hp, adding 1.2liters would have made it close to a 550hp n/a engine. Plenty to move the raptor.  :up:

I've shot it in 9mm and never had issues with it. Also, my FN Five-seveN 5.7x28mm ammo is manufactured by Fiocchi and it has never failed.

    If someone has a conservator handling their affairs, I believe that DQ's them from being able to buy and own a gun via the 4473 wording here: "incompetent to manage your own affairs."

And/or incompetent to manage your own affairs. Will probably get said person denied. Also if he or she has ever been committed to a mental health institution, he or she might have issues getting approved depending on circumstances. For the incompetent part, I suppose that means having a conservator handling everything for you because mental issues or having something like Alzheimer disease. I'm not a lawyer, though.

LEO, that you have some inside knowledge and can vouch this isn't about harassment, etc..   So I suppose the folks getting denied need to fax the appeal themselves, find out why they were denied, and then get whatever fixed in their records or Identification so they won't be getting denied for X reason anymore.    Sound correct? Once they find out what is causing the issue, get it fixed, they don't get denied anymore, right? 

  Wow, I'd be pissed if I had to wait 15 to 30 days!   All the denials I've heard about were overturned within an hour to a day even.    Maybe it helped that the FFL I had a chat with used a fax machine to send appeals to the TICS for his customers. 

  Yeah, this seems more like harassment. If you do not have a felony, domestic violence or been adjudicated mentally ill or whatever, I see no reason at all that anyone should be denied. Something seriously needs to change to put a stop to these repetitive false denials.
