Its more about bandwidth and not having data limits than actual speed at this point. My home network consists of: 3 Desktops 5 Laptops 3 Tablets 3 iPhones 1 Roku 1 Sony PlayStation We are heavy users. We do nearly everything via the internet. So 1 Gigabit is worth it for us. And to think when Comcast 100Mbps first came out, I was paying $200 a month plus taxes, etc. This will be a welcome service for a decent price if I can get it in my neighborhood! :woohoo:

You won't need Comcast or ATT much longer in Nashville: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/85387-google-fiber-confirmed-coming-to-nashville/

Very nice! I'm wanting to do an affordable .308 tactical for myself and a 30-06 for my father (he just can't have any rifle caliber but 30-06 because the marines ruined him lol). How much you got it it, minus the scope, and bipod?

I've cut it out before. I didn't miss it or the bill at all. I watched all TV through the internet and ROKU.

That's a very nice gun! I think I'm going to have to go look at this one at the LGS! :)

I took 5 Cali girls to a local indoor range here in TN. All but one shot my guns. None wanted to be filmed or have their picture taken. But I still managed to get one from the backside on video. lol I brought a ton of guns and ammo. FN Five-seveN 5.7x28 Glock gen 4 21 45acp Ruger 10/22 .22lr Colt LE 6920 5.56x45 Sig Sauer Sig 716 Patrol .308 Ruger Security Six .357 mag Beretta 92FS 9mm Ruger .44 Magnum S&W M&P Shield .40 S&W It was a boat load to haul all that to the range, but it was worth it to give the Cali people a taste of freedom. :) Here is one of the girls firing the Five-seveN http://youtu.be/3EuZsAhORJ0

Yes. No rule change on that... so far. -
TGO YouTube Channel - What would you like to see?
JohnC replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
David, I think you covered it all for the most part. But to be more specific... I'd like to see: Local political and legal issues coverage pertaining to second amendment. Interviews with politicians putting them on the spot so we can see where they stand on 2A rights. Long range tactical shooting how-to's. Building and modifying firearms (like AR's) for specific purposes (long range, CQB, AR pistols, NFA, etc.) Filming of local shooting competitions, such as long range and 3 gun. Interviews with local gun manufacturers and manufacturing facility tours showing the inside workings, etc.. Then get more in depth with each firearm they make. Interviews with local gun celebrities such as Hickock45, etc... Getting inside interviews, Q & A's with gun rights organizations such as GOA, NRA and the TFA. It would be nice to have a direct line to these orgs so we can actually communicate and get them working on some side issues while the major 2A rights battles have calmed down (NFA, etc.). Reloading and bullet casting videos. Reloading products reviews. -
Very cool. Good shootin' btw.

Mammoth Sniper Challenge (PIC HEAVY!)

Awesome, man! Thanks for sharing! -
No. This is on 4x. The M223 BDC 600 is a 4-16x that I have on it now. Even at 16x, I don't see the front sight. I did take my index finger and place it on the front sight at 16x and still couldn't see my finger. It more or less made it a bit less clear and bright. The front A2 sight is about 3.5-4in from the end of the scope. To test for yourself, get a black pen or something and hold it dead center to the scope, you might have similar results. I do plan to remove the A2 and replace it with a low rise has block. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Metro Nashville Public Schools is eliminating Algebra and Geometry.
JohnC replied to JohnC's topic in General Chat
What do they expect these kids to do when they get to college? Maybe this is what the 2 years of free community college is all about? So they can begin to teach high shcool level? -
Are they serious? Now this is dumb! :shake: Posted Thursday, January 22nd 2015 @ 8pm by News Center (Nashville, TN) -- Metro Nashville Public Schools is eliminating Algebra and Geometry. The district says they're installing a new curriculum next year that will introduce three levels of Integrated Math, which teaches students to see relationships between concepts. Informational meetings will be held to help parents understand the transition. http://www.wlac.com/articles/wlac-local-news-220452/mnps-eliminating-algebra-geometry-13176681 More here: http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/education/2015/01/21/nashville-high-schools-math-curriculum-set-change/22118827/

Agree. There are good people here that take the time to make well researched posts that help everyone learn. That is across the board from gun rights, gun related laws, NFA weapons, politics, trusts, etc. :) I also appreciate all the work David does here to keep this place going, technically and financially. This is the #1 gun forum I visit. :no1:

So my dad is laid up recovering from hernia surgery and had this Smith and Wesson K frame 357 magnum out rubbing it. I decided to take a closer look and noticed it had a polished trigger. Well he proceeded to tell me that this particular revolver had previously belonged to the gunsmith that used to work at specialty arms. I played with it via some snap caps for a second myself and boy does it have a really nice trigger. This video isn't that great but check it out for yourself. I was in a bit of an awkward position trying to pull the trigger and record it with my iPhone as an example but here goes. You're calling was being a lawyer.

Speeding ticket can do it if they didn't do your paperwork right. Like if you paid it, but it still shows it is unpaid and a CAPIAS warrant is issued. You might want to look in to that if all you have on your record are traffic violations.

Interesting.... So it was a records screw-up between the Illinois and the FBI. I guess those being denied need to get the TBI to tell them exactly what's wrong so they can resolve the issue to prevent future false denials that get overturned on appeals.
