  1. Had a douche in a real old Dodge Cummins 3/4 ton try to race my friend in his Convertible Mustang GT while I was riding shotgun with the top down. My friend didn't race him, so he proceeded to shift lanes in front of us and roll coal. Now not all diesels smoke intentionally. New ones are probably modified with catalytic converter cut off, but older ones just tend to smoke some when accelerating, especially when you want to take off faster.
  2. I donated again to this. Anyone else already donated, or plan to here? I'd like those of you who support this fight chime in here at least because it would be cool to know who all is in support of this with me.
  3. Glad you're doing better. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted on your progress. <Pics of hot Brazilian nurses wouldn't be too bad, either>
  4. That's 40 years at $12.50 a year.    So, I'm 38 now (39 in July) + 40 years puts me at 78.   Who knows if I'll live that long, but seems worth it not to have to fool with renewing ever again.
  5. Nice! I love FN pistols and plan to get a few more to go with the Five-seveN.
  6. Huge! Glad no motorists got caught by it!
  7. Wow, Just wow!  :biglol:
  8. You got that right. I stayed in NYC for a couple weeks around July 4th and my wallet was much much lighter by the end of it.
  9. I keep my enemies close, so TN MoveOn.org is trying to get people to call Haslam to Veto the bill. We need to all call in support and send letters asap! The email I got. Dear fellow Tennessee MoveOn member, The Tennessee legislature just passed a terrifying bill to allow people to carry loaded guns in parks—even on the playgrounds where our kids play.1 If we act quickly, we can convince Gov. Haslam to veto the bill. He opposed guns in parks when he was the mayor of Knoxville, so we know he can be persuaded, but we have our work cut out for us because the bill is a big priority for the gun lobby.2 Can you call Gov. Haslam? Tell him: "Please keep our kids safe by vetoing the bill to allow guns in our parks." Here's the number: 615-741-2001 Then, please report your call by clicking here: http://civic.moveon.org/signon/calls/?id=112927-28848164-wDobEVx&t=1 As a MoveOn member in Nashville and the Tennessee chapter leader of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, I know that together we can stop this bill—and we must. I grew up in the South and know about guns. I am a mother, grandmother, and former public school teacher. I dealt with guns in our schools in the '80s, lost two family members to guns, and have a close friend who was shot in the head at church. I am not opposed to the Second Amendment but believe there are commonsense precautions we can take to keep our children safer—and certainly, that includes not allowing guns in our parks and on our playgrounds. But the gun lobby is strong and knows how to get what it wants, which is more money from more gun sales. If you can believe it, lawmakers intended to pass this bill as a "welcome gift" for the NRA's annual convention in Nashville earlier this month—but activists, including MoveOn members, and our allies in the legislature were able to slow it down.3 Now we need to stop the bill by convincing the governor to veto it. We simply can't let people carry loaded guns in the places our kids play. Please join me in calling Gov. Haslam now. Here's the number: 615-741-2001 Then, please report your call by clicking here: http://civic.moveon.org/signon/calls/?id=112927-28848164-wDobEVx&t=2 Thanks for all you do. –Linda McFadyen-Ketchum Tennessee MoveOn member Sources: 1. 10. I don't count anything as a "win" really on the 2A issue. :meh:   We just fought them off for now. They'll be back with new strategies, lies, excuses, propaganda and other tragedies to exploit to attempt to pass restrictions and bans on 2A rights.    Just as much progress toward a restoration of 2A rights as we've made now, can just as easily be revoked by the next left-wing majority in congress or even here at the state level.   The fight for 2A rights will be a constant one.
  11. I didn't register to win anything. Maybe I should have after hearing so many won.
  12. I came across this quote ("The BATFE was once told by a judge that the Hughes amendment impliedly repealed the NFA with regard to machine guns.") today and found it and the link below interesting.   http://www.constitution.org/2ll/court/fed/us_v_rock_island.htm
  13.   Thanks! This is a larger win than I thought it would be. I figured it would get watered down and not be enough of a change. Glad it went this well!
  14. Oh Shoot, summarize what we gained here after it is all said and done and becomes law.   I apologize, I am usually as up on this stuff and most of you here, but I've been working 10.5 hours a day and driving 2.5 hours a day, etc., so I've not had much time to follow this or keep up with anything lately.
  15. I guess all those felons will make sure to go the local FFL and do a background check before they go rob the corner liquor store, or go gang-bangin in the hood. smh
  16. Subscribing to read later... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I've got to work today... Can someone go by the NEMO booth and snap some pics of the 300 win mag AR's and get the pricing? I somehow zig-zag'd around so much yesterday that I missed it. :(
  18.   Somehow I missed that... Got any pics?
  19. I saw one OC'er at the NRA Convention...
  20. Unreal! :meh:   Hope all those LEO's made it out OK and got some extra paid vacation or something for that BS!
  21. Got an Email from moveon.org and they're wanting to stop the guns in parks bill... (just subscribe to see what the libs are crying about and fighting for).     If you can believe it, Tennessee lawmakers had planned to pass a bill into law by this weekend to allow people to carry loaded, concealed guns in our parks as a "welcoming gift from Tennessee lawmakers" to the National Rifle Association's annual convention in Nashville this weekend.1 Luckily, Republican "bickering" over the details of the bill has held it up, and Gov. Haslam hasn't yet signed it. Now is our chance to stop this reckless gesture and keep our parks safe for all Tennesseans. Click here to sign the petition.     Dear Tennessee MoveOn member, I'm Hazel Morrell, a MoveOn member in Bluff City, Tennessee, and I started a petition to Gov. Bill Haslam, which says: Veto the bill allowing loaded guns in our public parks. We want to feel safe in our parks and public places.   Sign Hazel's petition We want the public to use our parks and public places without fear. I do not feel safer knowing the person nearby is carrying a loaded gun. Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends. Thanks! –Hazel Source: 1. 22.   I bought 50 BMG API from Freedom and had a few rounds that wouldn't chamber at all. Accuracy, I felt, was a bit less at times than TMI 50 BMG ammo. But I also had some rounds from TMI 50 BMG that would not chamber; the average junk rounds per 150rd can from both of them is usually 3 to 4 rounds. I run the ammo through an ArmaLite AR50-A1B.   FWIW... I bought my http://www.tmi50bmg.com/ through https://www.survivalops.com/ because it was always a bit cheaper. But customer service from Survival Ops is HORRIBLE!    You'll order a 150rd can from Survival and wait forever for your CC to even be charged (weeks sometimes) and then you Email the guy repeatedly to find out what's going on and by the time he emails you back, the ammo is on the way or already been received by you.   So what you gain in accuracy and save in cost, you lose in customer service and waiting.
  23. I went by Benchmade and they were doing free engraving, so I had them put my name on my 9170 Auto Triage!   That would normally be $5-$25 custom work plus shipping. http://www.benchmade.com/lasermark/   Met and spoke to the Military Arms Channel guy... He was a very nice.    ArmaLite had a sick little AR15 pistol with folding buffer tube and Sig brace. Very light and short barrel. I must buy this ASAP! Think this is it: http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=M15P6&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=0fce5122-50e5-4e4e-97d6-67f60621cd8f   Just way too much stuff there I want! :yum:
  24. Old picture, but I look about the same. So if you see me, feel free to say hello.
