    Stolen handgun

    Sucks. Hope they get caught!
  2. I've got a iPhone 6 Plus and don't see any reason to upgrade.... Same OS, just a few tweaks...
  3. In too late... sold out. :(
  4. Thanks, guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I can't wait to get it finished up! Just got to do a couple more things and it'll be done! I might build my Mega Billet Ambi set in to a 6.8 SPC or .300blk pistol, but still reading up on that. :)
  6. Another test fit since the barrel and pig finally came in. Sorry for the funky color hue, but too lazy to edit. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That's a good price!
  8. David nailed it... Unbolt the trans cross member and place a jack with block of wood under the front side of the oil pan (if weight of trans doesn't tilt it down anyway) where the bolts are (not the pan itself or you'll bend it) and try to get the motor to tilt slightly down in the rear. Once you do that, you will be able to get to the bolts with extensions and universal sockets. I pulled the auto 4.6L 2v 4r70w out of mine by myself and swapped in in a Tremec 3550 (now called a TKO), so I know it can be done.
  9. Looks like they've made more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8D_ulQczV8
  10. Dolomote, I just noticed the US version of my rifle has the bolt catch on the safety lever like my AK pistol. If I had thought about it, I could have just bought that safety and removed the other bolt catch and I wouldn't have needed to grind my hammer! O well....
  11. I've not taken it to the range yet, but just by handling it, I'll say its lighter weight than I thought it would be. It feels just "right" if you know what I mean. I haven't picked up many AK's but so far this is the best feeling AK I've touched. My wife and I were actually pleasantly surprised with this one. :) Can't wait to take it out to shoot it. Maybe this weekend....
  12. Well, Adams Arms stands behind their stuff. They sent me out a Pistol (PDW) rod at no cost and told me to keep the mi-length rod for the trouble (they run $77).
  13. I just noticed I called the bolt catch a slide lock. When I lack sleep my vocabulary suffers. Oh, and I don't like the feel of the bolt catch lever. If it wasn't so convenient, I'd have removed it.
  14. If you want to play with the ALG AKT, I can send you my spare. Just send me your address again in case I cleared out my PM box.
  15. I like yours best because it has a lot shorter pull to drop the hammer. I was hoping the ALG AKT would be similar, but no dice. The ALG is still better than factory triggers though.
  16. Well, I finally got the ALG AKT trigger installed in my Saiga AK47. :w00t: It's a bit shorter pull and lighter feeling than the Tapco G2 and light-years better than the standard Commie triggers. Just some notes if you ever do one in a Saiga like mine. 1. The hammer will need to be ground to clear the slide-lock. Tapco G2 hammer left. ALG AKT right. Tapco top, ALG bottom... Tapco top, ALG bottom.... 2. The safety will need some grinding to clear the back of the trigger. 3. The roll pin for the safety, I drove in all the way deep and didn't bother grinding it down since I had to grind the safety anyway. You can see the safety lever (off safe in this pic) behind the trigger and roll pin (right back side). 4. I had bought a ALG Defense hammer spring for the heck of it and tried to install it, but with the slide lock lever, it has too many coils and binds up causing the hammer not to drop freely. You can see the coils of the hammer spring being pushed inward toward the middle. All in all, it was a lot more work (lots of drimel grinding) than I thought it would be, but I feel it is worth it to get a top of the line fast trigger in the gun. https://vimeo.com/139910194 https://vimeo.com/139910292
  17. Yup... They sent the wrong length.... My box has Mid Piston System on it....
  18. Well, after a test fit, I have run in to multiple issues. 1. The rod itself is the wrong length. It's too long and would require at least a 10 inch barrel to have enough room for the gas block to sit and still have room for the flash hider. 2. The gas block won't clear the Daniel Defense Lite II 7.0 rail in the inside even if the rod was short enough to tuck the gas block under the rail. I'm going to contact Adams Arms and get them to send me the correct kit. When they send the correct shorter Pistol (PDW) kit, I'll still have to buy a rail with larger inner diameter to clear the gas block. Other way to fix the issue would be to toss my 7.5in barrel in a box for a future build and get a CHF 10in inch barrel, but that would really put this "pistol" at an undesirable length for me. The only other alternative I have to keep it at 7.5 inches is to buy a whole new gas impingement BCG with gas tube and gas block and then just save the Adams Arms Piston kit for another build. :wall: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Piston kit finally came in, snapped a quick pic before leaving for dinner....
  20. I WON!!! It's the MSA AR15 trigger https://www.tacconusa.com/products/view.php?id=49 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm probably going to give this a try later on: http://primaryweapons.com/wp/shop/cqb-compensator/ It looks a little better than the KX5 Flaming Pig actually.
  22. It sucks having to wait on parts.... I want to finish this build now! :hyper:
  23. I got a guy to measure a mil-spec barrel nut and he came up with 0.90. I don't have a dial handy, but the bracket and nut together measure about the same with my wooden ruler, so I think I'm fine.
  24. I ordered everything else I needed to finish the build last night. For the gas system, I ended up going with this setup: http://www.adamsarms.net/pistol-pdw-length-piston-kit-xlp-no-rail Ever use it? I hope it doesn't suck.
  25. The Edge allows FA? This I did not know!
