I get what your saying and I don't expect the BDC to be surgical precision. But if you use their website calculator, you can key in everything down to hand loaded ammo or factory, weather, etc., and print it out. Then, those BDC marks, instead of 100-600 yards becomes odd numbers like 186 yards, etc, but should get you hitting the target. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Calculated without weather conditions for 5.56 NATO FMJ 62gr, etc... Adding weather: BDC with weather compensation:
  3. I watched it a lot in the past. I really like Chaim Wietz AKA Gene Simmons. He and his family seem to be good people. Not what I thought a typical rock star family would be at all. Two most memorable episodes for me were: The episode where he visited family and his fathers grave in Israel. Also when he visited the Anne Frank house. I've not seen it in a while since I dropped cable TV for Roku and 105Mbps internet service. I think I can watch it on Hulu via the net, though.

I just got a Nikon M-223 3-12x42 BDC 600 and I think these videos will help! Also, Nikon has an online Ballistic calculator at www.nikonhunting.com/spoton for these scopes. You just register your info and then your in!
  6. Got to leave the debate to visit family today. Enjoy your memorial day my friend! I ain't mad at ya and if you see me at a local range, drop in and say hello. I don''t hate folks that disagree with me politically, so hope you treat me likewise! Later fellas!
  7. I'll bet she becomes an anti-gun liberal after this if she isn't already.
  8. This is where you do the same thing you're griping at us for (see bold). I'm not going to throw a fit at your blanket opinion like you do ours and take it all personal. For the sake of setting the record straight.... Based on your statements, you're problem is you think some folks who are disagreeing with you do not want to take "personal responsibility" for for their actions (speeding, etc.). I've not had a speeding ticket in more than 14 years. I've had zero speed-cam or redlight-cam tickets. If I was in the crowd you speak of that supposedly share my opinions, then I should have at least accumulated some tickets in all these years, right? So that said, your blanket assumption doesn't hold water and has nothing to do with our opinions on speed-cams and redlight-cams. Go back and read my posts about why I think these cams are a waste and take note I am a-ok with LEO's doing this job as they're more effective.
  9. Below is the post you quoted. Where specifically did I "suggest how you should think?" I said "folks won't get it until it's too late." Meaning we'll be (based on history) giving up more and more to big government like past socialist and communist countries did before they collapsed and current European socialist countries have. Below is not directed at you, just random opinion and a bit OT. But of course history means nothing to anyone because most folks think it'll never happen in America. Yet if you compare us to European socialism, the lines blur. We have very little left before we are there 100%.They'll ban, regulate, legislate and nudge us right to it if we don't remain vigilant and fight it when they try it.
  10. I can see both sides of the argument here. Its a tough call. If a state has an open carry law saying you can carry openly and you're not suspicious or committing a crime, then I see no reason for police to come wanting to check everyone's ID. That would be a bit commie "papers please." But I also feel, if i had a carry permit or lived a place where you can carry openly, I would still conceal as not to have to deal with any drama. Having unneeded drama because you choose to carry open and then not cooperating with LEO's also seems a bit silly when all you'd have to do is show your permit so they can go on about their day knowing you're legal to carry and not a threat. like I said, it is a tough call on this one. But commie or sheeple I am not. You need to really meet me in person and I guarantee you'll change that opinion fast. Hey, the traffic cam thread, I'm a tin foil hat paranoid conspiracy theorist Political type opinions on this forum will get you a quick multitude of labels for sure!

  12. Ugh.... $189 for 20rds more than my $12 30rd magpul mags? I could get like 15 30rd Magpul mags for that much! That wil hold 450rds total. Just my
  13. Unlike you quoting me directly, I did not quote you directly. I was not responding to anyone specifically, but my response was based on a number of posts made. That said, stop personalizing this so much. You'll go crazy if you take things such as a thread on the internet so seriously. I don't personalize any of this, not even the tin foil hat comments. I'll tell you this, we're not bad guys here for having the opinions we have just like you guys are not. We just have different opinions. At the end of the day, I'm the type of person that would give you the shirt off my back if you needed it. So let's all step back here, take a deep breathe and then debate this some more.
  14. What I love about the redlight cams is when they first put them in and they rig the light to change super fast! Obviously they do that to generate quick revenue for the cost of buying and setting up the new equipment. I see them more as a scam myself based on all of what I've already stated. Just my opinion. Don't get butthurt about it.
  15. I said we'd never agree on the issue. And personally, I don't care what any of you think of me. It doesn't surprise me that we disagree with you guys on something like this and you lump us in a group of tin foil hat conspiracy theorists and paranoid folks. So you can get it in your heads.... Cliffs: I'm a-ok with cops doing this job instead of cameras because they can actually slow fast driver through stopping them, fines and adding points on their record. Officers can actually do more, i.e., warrants, DUI's/DWI's, drug busts, etc. Cliffs: Traffic cams just make money and do nothing for violators and crooks that could be caught in actual stops. Sorry if my opinions upset you.
  16. I remember him from all the way back in the tennesspeed days. He turned out to be nuttier than squirrel poop!
  17. I take offense to that "comrad" comment! If you got to know me, I think you'd see I'm one of the most anti-commie guys you'll ever meet on here.
  18. I'm not down with the harassment of them trying to get the manager to throw these guys out, but why do people carry open and then refuse to show ID and Carry Permits? I'm not saying its bad, but it just seems like you could clear up mess like that a lot faster if you show your permits.
  19. They won't get it until it's too late. It's the trend nowadays. Give up everything to the government, they'll take care of you, your health and safety. Riiiight!! For the others.... No amount of traffic cameras is going to reduce traffic accidents or fatalities.Think about it folks, with all the police on the roads now, there is a statistic or an average no matter what you do in regards to accidents and fatalities. So how do you think a revenue generating camera with low cost tickets and no points on your record will deter speeders (and red light runners)? They aren't even taxed time wise as they don't get pulled over; they can just continue on. And when they spot those traps and learn thier locations, they just slow down and speed right back up! Absolutely useless. At least uniformed officers can hide and move around.

  21. Well, I couldn't find any of the Laser IRT scopes in stock. That said, I settled for a M-223 3-12x42 SF Matte BDC 600! Bass Pro didn't have the Nikon M-223 scope mount, so now I've got to hunt that down. I'll post an iPhone pic of it shortly!
  22. So let me get this right..... Police write tickets and check out drivers during stops for warrants, drugs and being under the influence, etc. Their tickets cost a driver points on their record. Too many points and you are a habitual offender and your license will be suspended. But with the government revenue generator (red light and speed cameras), it does not add points and it is cheaper? So a person can pay their cheap ticket by mail or online and keep on driving like an ass? How does this do anything for public safety? It also can't catch drunks, DWI's, drug runners, warrants, etc.The DWI drivers would be the more likely people to run redlight and drive recklessly. I just see this as a plain revenue generator and it does absolutely nothing to make the road any more safe, slow down drivers and catch crooks. Another scenario is, what if someone has a medical emergency, hazards on, driving a pregnant wife to the hospital, etc., and gets a ticket whereas cop would let them go on unticketed? I'd much rather have uniformed officers doing this job for obvious reasons. But I understand we'll all never agree on this issue.
