If I had the money for a Barrett .50 BMG M82A1, I don't think I could have any buyers remorse! No way to contain that excitement! I think I'd sleep with it next to me every night! Maybe in the not too distant future I'll have a Barrett.

No buyers remorse here. I didn't want a used gun and only want the newest version B. There is only $99 difference in what I paid for mine and its a NIB version B. Trust me, I Googled for weeks to find an AR50A1B from a legit seller for a decent price. Besides that, this guy has them new for $2,686 and since I was going to get the bi-pod with it, he was going to do free shipping, too. I just got tired of waiting after he said he might have one in stock in two weeks and then two weeks passed with no AR50. http://grabagun.com/...31-blk-blk.html No more waiting for me! I pick mine up today!

Was a local shop selling it? Price? Just curious. I don't need another. lol

I seen a video where a guy had problems with scope mounts on his AR50 in a review. This is the kind of info I'm looking for. Seems some scopes and rings may not be able to hold up to the 50 BMG. I'll check out those rings! Thanks!

Some cool info here I never knew about the Tommy Guns.
-
Did you test the AR50A1B? If I recall correctly, they made some changes to the bolt and a few other minor things. Think they might have updated the safety as well.... will google it later.
-
We'll see with the new 650hp GT500, though I think weight will kill the GT500 v/s the Vette on the track.
-
The first IRS was a flop in that, what 99 4.6 Cobra? But the IRS in the 2000 Cobra R 5.4L DOHC was fine as was the 2003-04 4.6L DOHC supercharged Cobra.

The Mustang GT was never in competition with the Vette. The Shelby GT 500 was aimed toward the vette and now ZL1. The Boss 302 was aimed toward the BMW M5's, etc. The plain old GT's are aimed at the Camaro SS and cars in that class/price range.

Now what would be cool is some steering wheel paddle shifters for the auto's. http://blog.brothersperformance.com/news/spotted-2015-mustang-spied-and-there-is-something-different-about-it/

$11k? Umm, no...... I'm not rich. LOL http://www.outdooroutfitters.com/zeiss-hensoldt-6-24x72-sam-mildot-reticle.aspx

I've not done any research yet on ranges to shoot this thing. Do all ranges accept a 50 BMG? Where do you shoot yours? Ammo at this point is another option I need to read up on. Seems there is a whole lot out there for the 50 BMG though. AP, API, APIT, Match, Turned brass, etc. I would defintly like to sight in for AP, but for fun and expirementing, those API sound cool! I came across all that here: http://www.50bmgsupply.com/ammo.shtml

They don't come with bipods. They're an accessory. That said, I'll be going with this one: http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=EX3206&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=600225d3-2ad4-483a-819b-8e304e873dd6 I plan to get this to go with the above bipod: http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=EX3203&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=600225d3-2ad4-483a-819b-8e304e873dd6 What didn't you like about the AR50? I know it doesn't have a magazine and its not semi-auto, but everything else about it seems awesome. My Next will be the Barret M82A1.

Well, according to this, it got rejected? I thought it passed. Carry on folks..... http://findarticles....9/ai_n57512852/ Edit: but TN tax law still requires you to pay the use tax regardless.....
-
We've always had law for us to pay sales tax on out of state sales, but I think it was some new language in SB 0529 or a subsquint bill thereafter that sealed the deal? I can't remember specifically though. Google is your friend and correct me if I'm wrong on that.
-
After they passed the new law, yes. Go here to pay: https://apps.tn.gov/usetax/initial.jsp
-
I've got the M-223 3-12x42 BDC 600 with M-223xr Mount on my AR15 and love it so far! I think you'll be pleased with it.
-
Directly off the TN.gov site....
-
You pay TN tax yourself on purchases made out of state. Info: https://apps.tn.gov/usetax/ This is your responsibility to file and pay it, not the out of state dealer or your local FFL. You don't give sales tax to a dealer (the FFL receiving the firearm) that you did not purchase the firearm from in the first place. They are only handling the background check and filing the paperwork in accordance with regulations.

I really really like the Nightforce LV.5 reticle, but want more power in the scope, so the scope that has the magnification I want doesn't have the option of the LV.5. :/ http://nightforceopt...m/lv-5-reticle/ http://nightforceopt...15-x-50-f1-nxs/ But like the 42x of this one: http://nightforceopt...12-42-x-56-nxs/ And I like these Leupold Scopes (M1 and M5), but can't figure out the difference in these two other than one has an option of the Mil Dot and other doesn't. http://www.leupold.c...-illum-reticle/ http://www.leupold.c...-illum-reticle/ Looks like there will be some compromise between magnification and reticle choice on the Nightforce if I went with one of their scopes. heh
-
What reticle does it have? Do you like it?
-
So the AR50A1B is on the way. Now I need to start searching for a scope that works best on the 50 BMG. I'm wondering if some are more suited than others due to possible vibrations, MOA adjustments since I'd like to do some extreme long range shooting/experimenting, etc. I'd also like a lot of magnifacation in the scope for those long range shots to make up for lack of good eye-sight in my right eye. What do you guys recommend?

Just bought the AR50A1B off gunbroker and set up the FFL with D&T today. Pictures coming soon as I get the call to pick it up. Gun is coming from this guy: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=290031312#PIC He says he has one more in stock if any of you are looking. I know all the big name shops are sold out of them and have been out for a good while.
