    Oh My God...

LMAO...I emailed the seller to see if he had anymore at such a great price
  2. I seem to have had a ton more wrist-twist with the M&P as opposed to the G21. I think it was because it was just that much smaller. I was holding it tighter because it felt too small I guess...I dunno? Like the XD, it just felt weird in my hands. I love how they look, the XD and the M&P, but it is the fit that matters. Again, I am big...I can palm basketballs, and when I played football and rugby I could grab the balls out the air with one hand. I got big mits I tell ya.....heh
  3. Ummmmmmm.we are still talking guns here right?...cuz I am getting a little freaked out
  4. You gonna sell me a new Glock for $300 otd? I am in the market...lol
  5. Joe..I like gunshop owners that can say..." Goooooo Navy"...heh!! 1) Just don't treat me like I am a dumbass. I already know that. I am new to this whole thing, I have learned alot though in the last few months. 2) Don't try to sell me something I didn't ask for. I said I am looking for a full sized .45, so why did you just hand me a 9mm, or even worse..some form of a compact carry weapon?? 3) If I say I didn't like one of the weapons you have offered to me as an option, please don't continue to give me the stats on the gun. No means No. Honestly though..I havent been to Hero Gear do the the distance, but I have read enough to know that these would not likely be the case in such a fine establishment as yours...GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NAVY !!!!! Angus
  6. I didn't like the feel of the XD, so I never shot one..it just didn't feel right in my hand??? I currently own a Ruger Security Six...and I love it. As far as "feeling like a big badass"...well..that's not my thing.
  7. Ok, ok...I have only owned a pistol for 10 months, and am shopping for my new pistol. I love .45's..why?...Because I can. So I finally got up to Guns and Leather in Greenbriar and tested my final two options..the M&P .45 and the Glock 21. Wow...two nice guns but for me the Glock wins. I was shooting MagTech ammo. Here is why: It's big, I am big..it fits me well. It was alot smoother to fire, trigger felt better, I had better control of the gun. Loading was a breeze with the Glock..takes 13 rounds and all 13 rounds went in eagerly. The M&P holds 10 rounds, I could only manage 8 at a time ( I am sure it needed more breaking in ). The Glock magazines just kept saying "feed me more, I want moreeeee". The sights on both guns were factory, the Glock sights were alot easier for me to pick up quicker. I shot a 5 round rep out of both guns...1st round to make sure my aim was on, then 4 in succession. Glock were all within a 6 inch group. M&P kinda went all over, but again..it was too small for me. I was not comfortable at all with the M&P. I am not saying the M&P is a bad gun, it is just not made for ME. Reason for this post: I have read alot of posts by folks who want to know "what gun should I buy?"...I am telling you the absolute truth....spend the $50 bucks it may take to test out 2 or 3 guns. You cannot return it if you don't like it. The best you can do is to sell it to one of US (hahaha) and go get the gun you shoulda thought you might have wanted..kinda.
  8. Heya John, I am a fellow John. Mom said every house needs one. Hope all is well...happy retirement....enjoy it more by not answering the phone....
  9. Heh...all my Jimmy Buffett stickers, folks think I am a liberal ( lmao ), so they wouldn't think I had a gun even if I did have NRA or brand stickers on my truck. Put on the stickers I say. If they break in, you get 6 to 17 shots at em depending on yer weapon of choice.
  10. yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.now yer talking....cook em....they taste like chicken
  11. Ok, Ok...havnet seen that guy... But there is this complete pos with stickers all over the backwindow of a silver F-150...big 'ole fishy type stickers...heh..thats me...wave as ya pass me on Briley cuz I am not speeding there.
  12. Definately check them out. I looked up this link, and e-mailed a few questions about the range. he does have 200 and 300 yard rifle ranges. The prices are very nice, and his response back on my e-mails was very quick. I'd say definately worth checking out. Not too far from Hendersonville either.....
  13. Now this is just Minnesota funny. The Presidential election was too close to call. Neither the Republican candidate nor the Democratic candidate had enough votes to win.. There was much talk about ballot recounting, court challenges, etc., but a week-long ice fishing competition seemed the sportsmanlike way to settle things. The candidate that caught the most fish at the end of the week would win the election. Therefore, it was decided that there should be an ice fishing contest between the two candidates to determine the winner. After much of back and forth discussion, it was decided that the contest take place on a remote frozen lake in northern Minnesota . There were to be no observers present, and both men were to be sent out separately on this isolated lake and return at 5 P.M. with their catch for counting and verification by a team of neutral parties. At the end of the first day, John McCain returned to the starting line and he had ten fish. Soon, Obama returned and had no fish . Well, everyone assumed he was just having another 'bad hair' day or something and hopefully, he would catch up the next day. At the end of the 2nd day John McCain came in with 20 fish and Obama came in again with none . That evening, Harry Reid got together secretly with Obama and said, "Obama, I think John McCain is a low-life, cheatin' son-of-a-gun. I want you to go out tomorrow and don't even bother with fishing. Just spy on him and see just how he is cheating." The next night (after John McCain returns with 50 fish), Harry said to Obama, "Well, tell me, how is John Mc. cheating?" Obama replied, "Harry, you're not going to believe this, but he's cutting holes in the ice!"
  14. hmmmmmmmmmm........wheres the beer...everything else seemed to fit in, but I didn't see anyone cracking a beer? How can they call THAT a wedding. I would need to be good and fubar to have married her anywhere, let alone Waffle House.
  15. Sorry dude...all's I can do is all's I can do...happy shooting
  16. Heya jameson...good name...my favorite Irish Whiskey. As far as weapon shopping, I would personally shop at Guns and Leather up in Greenbier. They have a ton of new and used weapons, and they have always been very nice to me. I have only had my pistol a year, and those folks have answered alllll kinds of questions for me. Also, the folks at the Goodletsvill Gun Shop. I have only been in once or twice, but they too have been great.

    cary while traveling

When checking in, I declared an "unloaded firearm" in my luggage. (Don't just blurt out "I have a gun." (Your travel plans may quickly change) They had me open the suitcase and show them the guncase. In Knoxville I did not have to open the guncase and show them it was empty. In Phoenix I did. Heh...funny story... About 14 years ago, long before 9/11, a fella decalred an unloaded firearm at the Phoenix counter. Sent it on to the plane without inspecting it. Buddy of mine was loading that plane. when he took the bag off the belt, to put it in the belly...BOOM!!! The UNLOADED pistol whent off, between being handled so many times, the shaking and jostling of all the bag belts, and the final jar of being put on the aircraft cargo floor. Missed my buddy, and the seat in the cabin the bullet whent thru was the seat of a little girl..I think 9yrs old....who had to go potty. Lucky, both of them. Sooo, I figure Phoenix folks are gonna inspect weapons for a longgggg time comming.
  18. JJC...we should all feel a little better about our circumstances right now I think. BTW: If he got a NH.DL. while he lived there, it would automatically notify Tn. DOS. of the change. I know, I have moved from NY to Fl. to Tn.....kinda forgot about that ticket in NY...sooo long ago..heh
  19. Heya roadrunner...if you goole the mcts site, and click the cached link, it will pull up most of the page, with phone numbers and whatnot. MCTS 4041 Lake Parkway Ct. Hermitage, TN 37076 Phone: 615.394.5236 Email: info@mctsclub.com orrrr, I could get off my lazy arse and do this for ya...........
  20. Absolutely. I don't answer the door, and most times i won't even answer the phone when I am home. I have a weird schedule at work, so I don't want anyone getting the wrong ideas. Last year though, between Christmas and Thanksgiving, I had a nice young salesman type show up at the door. After his schpeel I asked him for a business card, funny he didnt have one. He did, however, keep looking over my shoulder...as if to SEE what we had around the house as far as Christmas presents and whatnot. I asked him to wait right there ouside the door, he asked why...I replied..." I am going to get the phone and my gun. The cops will either check you out, check you in or scrape you up....whatever you like". Funny...never saw a dude in a suit run like that. But I keep it close by.
  21. Wowsers....such a teeny lil pistol. Just like a G21 is tooooo big for some folks, I don't know if I could shoot something that small and still be accurate? It is kinda cute though, in a manly kinda gun way.
  22. Heh...I cracked a beer and started all over.....this is real entertainment.

If you have flown out of BNA, then you have seen me, and you'd know because I am the only one with w NY accent...heh. Tis no use in lying or misleading. It is what it is. You may be pissed off about it, but I am still gonna try my damndest to get ya where ya wanna go.
