I worked, 6am to 2:30pm. it was slow, not too many folks flying. I am just glad to be back at work. psssst: I get paid almost a full weeks pay for working on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I carry not to go out and find trouble, but incase trouble comes looking for me!! To be honest, being from New York, there is alot of credit to old hog heads statement. Personally, I carry because I never know what dumbass is going to approach me or my family with the intention of harming us. If I knew that there was a place where a large group of such dumbasses hangout, I too would not enter. Carrying or not!! This comes with the mindset of personal protection. I watched the game as well, and not to defend the old hog head, but he did address kids that aspired to be college and pro football players. You have thes jugheads that think because they are on a scholarship they can get away with anything. Generally, as well, most of us think we are bullet proof untill we mature enough to know better. Kids today idolize knuckleheads like Bures because thier parents, if they have parents around, don't teach them any sense. Well Bob, it happens to be theirs, and everyones, second ammendment right. Who knows why he had it in a bar, in the city of Manhatten and without a permit. There has been reports that another NYG receiver had been held up outside his apartment. People are dumbasses and will try to rob anyone. Falls Creek Falls, and Rock Island State Park. Tons of waterfalls by Rock Island. Lots of good short hikes from what I have read.

That would be my only fear for this scenario. If I had "marked" ammo, and it was stolen from me. That would suck, and the red tape would be long and hard to cut through. It would be a major inconvenience for the honest gun owner, and would not affect the criminal at all...as with most gun laws.

Well, after having 5 months off work and absolutely nothing to do, I went back to work and realized I needed to take the dang HCP class. I know, I am a dork..onward and upward. I went to see the good folks up at Guns and Leather, Mark Crabtree gave the class. I think there was 46 or 48 of us there. Some scarier than others, but a good group of folks. Thanks too all the forum folks for the hints, tips etc. The test was no prob, and the range...well. I don't mean to brag, but dayumn I shot well ( course I am a yankee/city kid ). Now on to the DOS to get registered and finger printed and whatnot. I work for an airline and have had several background checks due to the nature of my job. The TSA does a check, and every time I have applied for a different position at work one gets done. Does anyone know if that will lengthen or shorten my wait time?

My dad-in-law has one, and I love it. I am getting a less expensive .45 ( Ruger p90 ) as a Christmas present, but I really liked his Rock Island. I am pretty sure that the boys at Guns and Leather have them also.
