Ok, I am a union employee, but not in the auto industry. We are paid the lowest dollar scale in the industry ( airline industry ). Am I paid what I am worth, absolutely!! Am I overpaid? Not at all. I have a college education, in Aviation Management actually, but seeing how things are done in his industry, I prefer not to be moved every 18 to 24 months. I dig my job, and I do it well. I take care of customer and coworkers, and I love it. The reason the union helps, is the simple fact that to be a member of management, you do not need a college education or any formal training. Therefore there are several folks that should never have been placed in management positions making vital decisions. Our union is a basic checks and balances system, and with a good manager most issues are resolved without the whole union meeting process. To say unions are all bad is like saying all gun owners are crazed killers. The unions have helped make the Big Three what they are, but as has been said, those contracts were negotiated by the unions and management. It is definately a 2 way street.

Well, most have seen my threads about Christmas/ Birthday/ Anniversary. The deal is done, thnks so very much to the folks at Guns and Leather. The Remington 870 is sooo sweeeet, and the Ruger P90 was delivered last Friday. Man ya gotta love the sweet ladies huh?

Ok, I have looked at you tube, and google and I am still having a hard time finding info on removing / replacing the front bead on my 870. Anyone, Beuller...Beuller? I know it is not screwed down, but what is the best / safest way to extract it? Should I just bring the barell to a gunsmith and pay to have it done?

I am guessing Hillary's communal medical plan will cover this?

Ok, the fact is my wife is a legal assitant and her boss is not a total DB. But this sounds like a serious case of an ambulance chaser trying to make it big and famous. Get his 15 minutes. There are things that we, as civilians, need to know nothing about. I personally don't care how the job gets done, just get it done and hopefully come home alive. Dude...damn, glad yer still among the living. Now, just an FYI for everyone. I used to work in an aftermarket shop, and installed rims and tires. Never, ever, never let yourselves or anyone else put your lug nuts on with an air ratchet. Initial problem, and I have been guilty of this, is the ratchet will strip the threads and eventually the nuts will work themselves off. Secondly, and I am also guilty, as well as a victim. On my older vehicle, the studs were just plain old, and the pressure of the ratchet actually cracked the stud, causing it to break. I am a little OCD about this, but when I get new tire. I go home, and back the nuts off one at a time, and replace them by hand, and tighten them with a manual tire wrench. I am not saying any of this happened to you GB, just adding my .

My mom's 3 brothers were in the Navy during WWII, but not involved in Pearl. December 7th was a National holiday in our house. I have never forgotten that day my whole life. I met the gal of my dreams, and when I proposed, she picked December 7 as our wedding day, oblivious of it's importance in my house. Now it means twice as much..... I mean really, with the proper placement in a room a 40 watt will do the same amount of lighting as a 60 watt, IMHO. But whatever you are comfortable with is the most important factor. It is all about placement and comfort!!
