  1. I consider myself old-school, and never thought I'd put a red-dot on my pistol. I have one as a back up sites on an AR so I tried it on my pistol. I was hooked, one time on the range. Quicker target acquisition, able to keep both eyes wide open to scan for other threats. Takes a little time to practice your and finding the dot wasn't a big problem. Good luck but don't knock it till you try it.
  2. I've carried a variety of pistols started with one of the original S&W mp 40, then a Kimber custom tle 2 45, sheild 45, now I carry mostly a HK vp9 with a delta point on it. The correct holster and position make all the difference. The sheild was the easiest by far to carry and conceal, but after talking with brothers I trust, just not enough rounds available when needed. But the best carry is the one you will carry all the time, and it's different for all. Good luck.

  11. Nothing to add but sorry for your lose. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with your new collection.
  12. I recently changed this past year to red dot on my carry, wish I had done it sooner. The best part for me is the full view, by that I mean no eye strain from lining up the sights. Put the dot on the target and squeeze. Both eyes wide open great field of view. I did buy a new holster that was for the red dot(worked out it is a nicer holster). I shoot red dot and iron sights at the range and have no problem switching. I do shoot full size pistols. Good luck with your decision.
  13. By chance does this have an optics cut.
  14. The ATF will appeal the decision, they will lose but its all part of the process.
  15. Great answers, what I tell the ones close to me get the permit it's not cost prohibited. Pro's carry more places legally, carry in lots of states legally, get some training, meet all kinds of people that have decided to take up something we all love, and yes court. The cons time and money. And as always practice often, dryfire, range, and the often under looked drawing your pistol whether from a holster or a purse.
