  1. I had a lot of fun shooting mine on Saturday. Seems legitimate enough.   2-3 times smaller groupings than my .380 and fit in a backpack when broken down.
  2. Not black, no pistol grip. Pass.
  3. I'd add this to the list of reasons I don't do HOAs but honestly, I think there's no more room.
  4. It all hinges on what counts as an agency approved course. I'm not saying you're incorrect but I can't find anything that confirms it so far.
  5. Finally got to shoot my Hi-point 380 yesterday. Had it up against a Walther PK380. I was expecting the worst but have to say, accuracy was similar between the two (I.e. a lot better than the shooter) and the recoil on the hi-point was a bit nicer due to the (rather large) weight difference no doubt. Both fired every time. (And the hi-point is in need of the firing pin upgrade). Wish I'd have had more .380 there to play with but I was also checking out .38/.357 in a Ruger and working the bugs out my AR pistol so plenty of shooting got done.
  6. Was looking myself. Good lord, it's hard to work out something sensible. There's one in Dickson but I'd have to leave work early four days in a row (doable but I'd burn some brownie points). All the two day ones are about filled up (I'd have no trouble travelling to Nashville). I looked at the online option. Sounds great, either pay to do online or get the CD for free and then do a field day. Perfect. Except the only field day in Nashville is full up and all the rest of the ones listed are in Knoxville. Who the heck is organizing this? Do new field days open up at random times? No Nashville dates for the rest of the year seems insane. Looks like I'll be having a word with my boss about clearing out early.
  7. Well, pulled it out of the box today. No choke, no priming, no gas. Started first pull and ran for all off about 2 seconds. That puts it firmly in the fuel supply in my book. I have a carb kit so hopefully I'll get to that later (it's too nice a day to spend fixing chainsaws).
  8. Gotta say, not a big fan of the pipe fittings (though it's a smart idea) but the wood looks great and the overall design is nice. I may steal some elements of it.
  9. Me too. It goes like this: "Please lord, take Obama in to your loving arms. Today, if at all possible".
  10. I'm walkin' here!
  11. I am still waiting on a back-ordered barrel to finish the full TGO build :/ I'm going to cancel and order a different one but haven't had chance yet.
  12. True enough. I don't take a stance on the GPS issue but a beacon would be trivially cheap. I think the black box already has one but they tend not to be too useful at the bottom of the sea. Edit: Hmm, interesting
  13. My own suspicion is that this was likely a cult of personality and with him gone, the movement will fade away. But we shall see.
  14. Hah. Yeah. Ideally people would have more class but to request it is kinda poking the bear with a stick.
  15. And nothing of value was lost.
  16. Now, GPS or not, what I don't understand is why there isn't some kind of beacon designed to deploy if a plane goes down at sea. Of course, if theories are to believed, the plane may not have gone down and an explosion could destroy such a device but still.
  17. No need to get all anal about it. Oh wait...
  18. You're going to go soooo red when you do.
  19. I think the media are trying to out-tinfoil the tinfoil-hatters.
  20. Anyone else remember when the media used to ridicule conspiracy theorists?
  21. No problem. If it hadn't been for EW being the subject, and the E key being right next to the W, I probably would have twigged :)

    Season 4

If that's the case, I have to start working on immortality. That's my least favorite airport ever. Though Brunei is close.
  23. It was decided *before* the civil rights movement because it was laws which forced business owners to segregate that otherwise might not have.
  24. WW? Do you mean EW? Employees may be customers but if all the customers leave, are those employees going to pay their own wages? Not that the employees should be cut out but there's a balancing act for sure.
