If the trigger is covered in a good retention holster, 0 chance of an accidental discharge. Never really had any issue with carrying that way as I knew what would cause the firearm to discharge.

Or, perhaps, tar shingles are cheap. My parents house was built in the 60s. The roof had to be redone sometime in the 80s because the cross-battens were not strong enough and were sagging but most of the tiles were reusable if I recall correctly (my father did the job his self) and it's still going strong now. I think several things would be better than tar shingles here in TN with the winds. Especially as the roof gets a little older. I know before we had our roof replaced, whenever there was a storm, I would dread knowing that several shingles would be folded up (or worse) and I'd be up there on the roof again. Then again, if it's not your roof, a tornado full of tar shingles is probably preferable to one full of tiles. The websites I've looked at claim that while tiles are more expensive up front, they are cheaper on a cost/year basis. YMMV, of course. I don't believe these tiles were terracotta either. I am not sure exactly what they were but they were much rougher. It seems they may have been concrete? (Edit: Really not sure. )

This stuff will get you a few years down the road... Slate is also in use on several roofs that are hundreds of years old.

Many are. But a high percentage of those are just lazy companies and therefore will be not so good to work for. There's certainly not much downside to getting them though.

Unfortunately, work history counts for a lot. You'll need to get on the ladder at some level and move sideways to move up. If you're looking for a direction, Linux admins are in demand in middle TN at the moment though network guys tend to always be able to find work. Voice is also a good choice.

Any company that won't give someone a job because they were home schooled is probably doing that person a favor.

In the 14 years I've been here, there's only been a couple of Augusts that have really started to step into the "unbearable" territory. I'm less fond of Aprils. Pollen and mosquitoes (not too many mosquitoes yet though)

If there was one vehicle I would expect to come with an option, it would be a Jeep. Most odd.

As a kid, it was ketchup with everything and I didn't like mustard. Mustard gets on a lot more stuff now but I like some relish on a hotdog. Though I prefer my hotdogs with decent sausage (and good bread if available).

I got one of these. Handy if you want to be able to plug in some headphones and rock out. http://www.voxamps.com/amplug/

I'd suggest learning your camera better. It should not be hard to get a fairly decent picture, without a flash if possible but it's sometimes unavoidable. With that, Lester is right, nothing wrong with fixing things up in post. Remember that our eyes do a lot of correction for us so what looks "OK" to us may look poor on the screen. Also remember that those screens are only for preview and are not accurate in themselves. Indoor lighting is notorious for being "off" which is why pros carry their own lighting with them. A work colleague was big on lightbox http://www.sagelighteditor.com/downloadfree2.html . I've never used it myself.

It's a shame walmart gave up on handgun sales though.

I find I have to cut down use of the extended parts of my vocabulary else I get odd looks. Sometimes, a more obscure word is just the right thing to use though.

Harbor freight hasn't been cooperative in discounting their mill lately. -
I used to think a trike would be fun then it dawned on me, all the disadvantages of a car combined with all the disadvantages of a motorcycle. Even number of wheels for me :)

Minn. man convicted of murder in home invasion

Arguably, by moving his truck, he encouraged them to break in whilst knowing he would be there. And the law doesn't allow deadly force in defense of property. Though personally, I have little sympathy for thieves. I'm sure we could have a whole discussion what happens when the government allows the rule of law to break down and people don't feel they're being adequately protected by the legal and justice systems. I'll leave that to others. -
I work in Franklin so tend to avoid it at the weekends. You have a great shot for 96 and Natchez trace though. There's the whole Lynchburg area too which I have yet to explore. I'm thinking of taking a couple of days off soon and just spending a long weekend riding around. tOo mUch WorK aND n0t EnoGH PlAy!

Something seems odd about the fact that he turned in this recording. Did he just not understand that it would remove any doubt or was he just trying to prove a point? -
We had our roof done a while back. Had saved up a bunch, called the roofer and he said the insurance would cover it (nice surprise. This was before the pro-rating started too) and we just had to pass him on the check when it came through. Got the architectural shingles too which should last a good while. Didn't get quite the color we were after (Didn't seem within reasonable bounds of factory variance but the labels on the shingles were correct) but it looks fine.

Check your insurance. A lot of the insurance companies have started discounting what they'll pay against age.

2 way ham radio with WX alerts?

Go grab these study guides and work through them. http://www.kb6nu.com/tech-manual/ They bear an almost 1:1 relation to the questions on the tests. Pay attention to the bolding. One thing I didn't realize and worth noting is that if you pass the test, you can go on and take the next one up in the same session. If I'd have known, I would have done some studying. As it was, I only failed it by one or two questions. -

I have a handheld scanner. I think most of the local police are not scannable (digital trunking or somesuch). Fire department is. I'm not sure if the Baofeng will do the same frequencies. If you want your ham license, just do it. The exam is fairly easy and there are practice tests and stuff on the web. You could have it by the time of the next exam near wherever you are. -

I have one. Biggest complaint appears to be that the microphone is a little weak. I haven't really used it much though. When I've listened in, it's mostly a lot of nothing with people occasionally passing on a shopping list.
