You can't really look at it that way though. Each county has a different ratio. Although you can say each county fell one side or the other, that's really meaningless. It's quite telling to look at a purple map and those counties don't stand out quite as much. (I tried looking for one for just TN but you're going to have to work with the whole US). 2. Thumbs up. Nothing not to like about that.
  3. It's for self defense, not sharpshooting. You'd have to be seriously incompetent (not meant as an insult) to fail.
  4.   My wife took her LCR and Neos to the range and qualified with the Neos. The examiner let her try out the LCR for fun also.
  5.   Interesting. Gives me an idea.
  6. I wonder if an awareness campaign might be in order. I might be willing to throw some resources into it.
  7. She'd have to be pretty bad to fail the shooting part. Getting her used to the recoil is probably worthwhile though. Of course, if your aim is more along the lines of standing up close behind and guiding her how to shoot, all the best with that :)
  8.   I agree. If you're at all handy, a drill press should be in your toolbox (not literally)
  9.   I have the Citizen Aqualand too. Stole it from a student for 90 bucks. Just needed a new strap and a battery and works perfect. I took it on a few dives and it's nice enough but it's definitely not up to some of the features of the nicer dive watches (and I generally prefer an analog face - it's the older model). I don't dive anymore but I do wear it sometimes when I have put the Skyhawk in a safe place.   I took the skyhawk on a couple of dives too and it did fine. It's rated to 100ft. Given it's supposed to be for aviation, that's a bit concerning :)
  10. I like my Citizen Skyhawk eco-drive watch so much, I was thinking of buying it's less fancy brother to wear as an alternative to spread the wear-and-tear. Never did though. I've become a big fan of the look and feel of titanium bands.
  11.   Nah, "Do you know why I stopped you?" is a fishing question (Should always be answered in the negative BTW). They'll keep it.
  12.   Don't forget, if you're someone who likes to carry without one in the chamber, to hold it up so he can look down the barrel and see there's no round loaded.
  13. They should just call it "auto-unload"
  14. The easiest way to get what you want it to want to be bitter and disappointed.
  15. Someone needs to put some bullet hole stickers over it :)
  16.   When you have electrical problems, you have electrical problems. There's only so much you can do in terms of safety features and interlocks.
  17.   I know if you chew hard candy in the dark you can see piezo-electric sparks.   It seems like this is the same phenomenon. So be sure to avoid eating candy in a vacuum.
  18.   Me too. It's almost never slower and I hate sitting in line in my car.
  19. I believe it also mentioned drive-through employees getting drinks thrown over them
  20. I think ours has been going for 13 years now. Of course, it's like the proverbial "my father's axe" but it still runs solid. Finally had to give up on the dishwasher last year as parts were breaking as I was putting it back together. The new one isn't a patch on the old one which is annoying as we spent a little more money for what we thought would be better.
  21.   True. But with modern materials and manufacturing methods, we are getting an awful lot closer. We're not there yet though which is why I think government should stay out of it and not be picking winners.
  22. Burning hydrocarbons produces water also. Not really an issue.
  23. We're on a list of states that allow a tax credit so there you go.   http://www.realcartips.com/selling/010-states-that-allow-trade-in-tax-credit.shtml
  24. Something to do on a rainy day :)   Plus I'm sure indoors gives more options for location due to sound insulating properties.   I'd love to get some land for an outdoor range. Financially it's viable but it's about deciding the best move to make.
