  1.   Just shoot the tires out :D
  2. Tambor/Bullard '16   Definitely a recommended read. That news may even deserve its own thread.
  3. Wife, daughter, dog is a bitch, hive full of bees. All female house except for me. I insisted that the cat be male.
  4. Make sure to contact the manufacturers. If they hear enough, they may consider adding something to their lineup. Especially if other manufacturers aren't and they could grab a good chunk of the market.
  5. Heh, kinda fussy for people who count "frogs legs" amongst their local specialities. I certainly wouldn't blanch at giving armadillo a try if it was fresh killed and well cooked.
  6. Nice. I've been thinking of having a go myself and this has made me a bit more confident about it.
  7.   Absolutely. Everyone should be familiar with this page and a couple of graphs I don't have time to link right now.   http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/inflation-charts
  8. A little bit different in England   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2k1iRD2f-c&feature=kp
  9. Very nice. My favorite yet I think. And the zombie one was good.
  10.   Same here. Was so good, I have not watched it again since the first time I saw it as I didn't want to sully the experience. It's probably about time*.   #2 Dark Star #3 Silent Running (Though I'm less in tune with the message these days, it's still a great movie).      *I did ask for director's cut for Christmas a couple of years back and never got it. Apparently I'm hard to buy for

  12. I believe TN also has something along the lines of "joint enterprise" where if you're involved in in a criminal action with others, you're responsible for the outcomes of that action, even if you didn't directly cause certain outcomes. It would seem like that would likely apply in this case (though perhaps aguably not) since it started out as a pre-arranged consensual deal (though arguably the gunfight was not part of that and in the case, the defendant was directly responsible for this outcome?)   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_purpose
  13. Definitely nothing wrong with renting in itself. You can have bad tenants and the occasional downside but in the long term, you should come out ahead. Keep some funds set aside for repairs and taxes so you don't get unpleasant surprises when the inevitable happens and make sure to keep good renters happy and it can be quite pleasant.
  14.   I agree. This seems like a very atypical "self defense" case (in fact not a self defense case at all) and its use seems very disingenuous and doesn't imbue much faith in the OPs motivations. Perhaps this thread should be moved to tndrugdealsgonebad.com?
  15.   Well, for one thing, each crime needs its own punishment I would think, particularly for something like murder. But for another, life doesn't really mean life, being bartered down and shortened so you need to stack them up to make them count.
  16. I would not recommend renting from a distance (and I have ended up with two). It can be done but you end up relying on others to an uncomfortable degree. If it wasn't for the housing market at the time, I would have sold and blown it all on guns, hookers and booze bought closer.   I do understand the inclination to hold on to a property with sentimental value. One of mine is the old family home. But in the end, it's just a house.
  17. Nor should you. But right or wrong, it is what it is.
  18. It's not really meant to. More training definitely recommended.
  19. Well, with DUI we're getting into the whole "drunk in charge of a weapon" thing which is a whole crime to itself. Your last line is really the point but several comments in this thread have indicated that that isn't always the case. Which is what my comment addresses.
  20. After you are dead, have been raped or received brain damage from a beating. And who do you go to for recourse if it was a cop impersonator? Which is a major part of why attempted disarmament should be avoided except for very good reason.

Some people are just a bit sensitive. I guess Memphis living does that to you ;)
  22. The first thing someone will do if they are going to attempt to do you harm is disarm you. It's not the norm but it's not like there aren't bad cops and cop impersonators out there.    Now, obviously, there are sometimes exigent circumstances where disarmament would be appropriate but for an otherwise law abiding citizen in a routine traffic stop, certainly not.
  23. It's also unusual to have the curve at the back edge of the knife.
  24.   It's not serrated.
