    Savage Wood

I had bought a Bell & Carlson stock for my new Savage 10. The stock did not fit the standard barrel and they only make their stocks for heavy barrel in the 4.40. So I bought this wood stock from Stockys. It is their LRS made by Remington. The fit and finish is rather good. It dropped right in. Now all I may do is bed it. So now I have another gun to take to the range and break in. Anyone out there do the 1 shot and clean then shoot and clean for 10 rounds?
  2. After a long wait my Nill Griffe grips came in and I placed them on my Dan Wesson 1911. The thumb rest really adds to the grip. They also have a raised middle area on both grips and fills out nice in my hand. Now maybe I can take my 1911 and out shoot my P220. I hope to shoot with the new grips this weekend!
  3. Thanks But I didnt like the gap. I sent it back.
  4. well it didnt work. And after a call to B&C I found out why. They only make the 4.40 in Heavy Barrel. None to fit my Standard barrel. So back to Midway it goes.
  5. I did a trade for a Savage 10 center feed. I ordered a new stock for it. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=786890 I hope this fits. Questions. How is the Aluminum Bedding on these Bell and Carlson stocks? Im rather new to long guns and hope I bought one that’s ok. Will I still need to bed it? Any info and help would be nice.

  10. I would ship ANY gun I own.
  11. Yes sir thats rather true as I did drive many hours to come buy one from you.!
  12. I see so many times in the Firearms Classifieds that members state they will not ship. I was wondering why you do not or will not ship? Shipping in state is SO EASY and Cheap. Most times you can ship cheaper than you can drive 70 miles one way. Just wanted to know from those who dont ship . Im not looking to flame anyone. I am just curious.
  13. Are we going to do a April?
  14. Ahhh your gun has no picatinny rail on it to mount a scope to. Like the 97 S has . See link Bushmaster - Home Defense & Recreation Rifles

The 245 is really a P220 Compact.. Not small but by Sigs standards it is. The 226 and 220 are close in size. The 220 only comes in a 45 except for a few of the early ones years ago. The 226 comes in 9mm 357sig and 40cal. The Match has a longer barrel as warbird says. The triggers are about the same but I give the 220 the nod. They all have the word Sig on them. All of mine go BANG everytime. So I am happy.
  19. Bump.... Not long to go.
  20. Hummmmm
  21. I will have to make it this time Mark.
  22. as a side note this is just for a "shoot" not a full time range. Thanks
  23. Bill you may want to resend a PM to those who said they would give. I almost forgot about this. sent a payment.
  24. After Marks event is done and over: I want to set up an out door range for long guns and hand guns for us guys (TGO) to shoot on. I have 100 acres and there are a few places I can get maybe 500 yd shot and a lot 250 yd shots on flat land. Biggest problem is to keep from walking in the best shooting area you will need a 4x4. Or is 100-200 yards good enough? Then no 4x4 is needed What will I look at needing? What kind of target stands do I need to build? Will I need a gate to close when we start shooting? Designated parking area? Benches? In general I guess I need help in trying to decide how to set this up. What I have is plenty of lumber. Machines to dig with if needed. Machines to mow with Plenty of land. It is away from others (homes) and those near by don’t care for the shooting as long as their house or dogs are not used as targets.
