Im almost done. I still need to fit the forearms ( due to the upper being a piston upper.) I have a wood grip to match but I think I like it as it is now with the stock grip. Here are a few images so far. It matches my Sig 220 rather well I think. The Magpul front sight needs to go It dont match the gun at all.

yes just sell what you have and then buy a new Tac one THEN in time you will do upgrades to it LOL Upgrades are fun easy and you always end up with spare and extra parts.

quick release is also good for storage /transportation Like a 2 or 3 gun hard case wont hold (most times) 2 or 3 long guns with scopes. And safes. Also If anyone is like me my scopes move around on the guns I own based on what and how I am going to shoot that day. And yes if I dont record the the right number of click per scope , mount and gun there may be some slight re zeroing need but that is always fun to.

For most of us shooters either way will be fine. A chrome lined will be easier to clean. A chrome lined will have a longer life. Most Chrome lined will for the most part be less accurate (maybe 1/4in at 200yds) Some are more accurate. Such as most 1/7s are with a heavier gr bullet 62s and above. cost is around 30-50$ more So it is really up to the buyer. As for me I get whatever is available.
