I am just going on what this shop is saying. Ill try and go by and take some images today. I understand the blue books prices. But I wanted it as a guide only. I have looked on the net and wasnt able to find much info to tell me what to look for. other than a OG marking? I know things like this sound to good to be true and I am sure it is But I thought Id check it out seeing it is local.

Wonder if it is listed in the blue book? Id like to have it BUT. Id hate to pay this much for a gun I know id never shoot.

I have my Rock River Arms in the 308 cal ready and have been warming the barrel. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.c...fb400e3a36253a It is a 20 inch Yes at just over 10 pounds it is a bit heavy but it is a 308. They claim 1 MOA at 100yds and YES it will do that and better. Not bad for a danged old semi. I did shoot from the bench and bags and the 2 stage trigger in it is OK. Im sure Ill upgrade that soon. I love the cheek weld I can achieve with this stock from Rock River. I love the half quad free float fore-end. Im one who likes the smooth part where I hold rather than all that extra rail. Im not big on the rubber Hogue grip. Something Ill change soon also. And for those who never seen a 308 AR bolt along side a 223/5.56 bolt I made and image to compare the 2. Oh the scope is a Cabela's Alaskan Guide® Premium Riflescope: 4-12x50. I got a super deal from a forum member here on a almost new one. Overall I am happy with this gun and hope to get some good range time soon. I will do a side by side with my M1A soon.

David, Down at the bottom where it shows users are online Can you change the setting to list them in alphabetical order? Not a real big deal But some may use it to see if someone is online and would be easier to scan if they are alphabetical. Thanks

New classified forum, mark as read option?
JeffsSig replied to Kylev87's topic in Feedback and Support
In the Classifieds when you click on the Mark Community Read At the bottom of the page and select Classifieds, It will change the little category markers from Blue to Gray. This is the only thing to show if there is any unread items post. By category only and not by each item. -
Thanks for the input but I see not many here have tried one.

Squaring up an AR-15 upper
JeffsSig replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Now this is the kind of info and post that should be found on gun forums. Thanks Dolomite -
Good write and thoughts Gordon. I only go as far as a level and square and a small hand file and stone to hit the high spots. Your way would be much better. I seen one guy go as far as to use small in house made brass shims to allow it to to dig in and level out.

Has anyone tried an used a Stainless Steel Media system? http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com/ I like this and I have one on the way. The part I like is it will clean the primer pockets and the pins will pass through the primer flash hole. This would take away the time consuming process of picking out the flash hole of the media I use. Plus the hand cleaning of the primer pocket. It also looks like it will clean the inside of the brass well. I like shinny brass........... so this might work well for me.

Oh but a Stag can be had for around 700$

Mike how did you know I had "scope wink" problems? So you really think the PRS will help. I have one I can try on it. 6.8 I shoot much better with bags than I do a Bi Pod. Magic It has a Todd Jarret free float tube , A Kies lower I built with RRA lower parts and add a 3lbTmney drop in trigger and a Rock River Operator stock. I used a Wilson Combat 24 in bull barrel with a 1:8 twist thats a Wylde 223 chamber. Yankee hill low profile gas-block. RW your correct the 458 is a beast also but still lighter.
-
Ill call it a beast because of the 20 pound upper I ordered a 24in Wilson Combat bull barrel in stainless steel. Yes its heavy!!! Not sure how heavy. But I built this as a bench gun to mess around with my 223 loads. After a 50 shot fire lapping of the barrel I went shooting yesterday. At 200 yds I held very nice 1.6 inch groups of 10 shots each. This was with 77gr Privi Match ammo. 68 grain federal gold match did almost as good. 55 grain PMC, Remington, and American Eagle did 3 inch groups. Ive not shot any of my loads yet but I think they will do a bit better. Due to its weight, follow up shots was almost as good as a 22lr from the bench. Ill not try and shoot this off the branch unless I'm prone I think. I did have a 3 shot group that touched each other. But after that my old eyes just cant do well after looking down the scope. Even with a 14X one. So in better hands I feel this gun can do under 1 inch groups at 200 yds

More info others may want to know also. Is this statement true? the shorter the OAL the Less the pressure. So seating out to Max length will give you the highest pressure and anything shorter will produce less pressure. Asking for rounds like the 223 rem. So if it is true and one wanted a bullet that suggest a OAL of 2.200 and you wanted them set at 2.235 , would you change your powder charge any?

One thing I really like about the new classifieds is the price shown on an image for each ad. Saves me a lot of time to not open some ads.

Thanks David. Looks like you have it all sorted. You can close this post........... (LOL)
