Have you contacted Kershaw about the torsion bar on your Leek? If I'm not mistaken, they will either replace it for you if you send it to them or send you a new torsion bar for you to install yourself. They have an excellent customer service department and will take care of the problem.
Oh I plan to send it in to them. But it give me a good excuse to get something new as well.
You can hear the fuel pump charge up the first 5 seconds when the ignition switch is turned on as normal. Took off the fuel line that attaches to the top of the fuel filter and turned the ignition switch on and no fuel came out. So now I'm assuming the fuel pump went bad?
If it is gelled then no it wouldn't come out but you would still hear the pump. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Any tile setters / installers looking for work?
Dane replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
If you can draw a straight line you can set tile. The trick with doing walls is not to make your mortar too wet and use spacers. If you mess it up pop it off and try again. Tile is relatively cheap so you could even go out to the garage and practice on a piece of hardi back then use it for target practice later! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Any tile setters / installers looking for work?
Dane replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Do it yourself. Tile is extraordinarily easy to do. You will save a ton of money to because the going rate is 5++ per square foot. I did my kitchen, laundry and bathroom floors. Then did a custom shower, vanity top and backsplash in my last house. A friend of mine that does it for a living in multi million dollar houses couldn't even find any flaws. Lowes will make any cuts you need as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Again I would go back to my origin post on the subject. Take the time to verify the guns and increase their value then unload them at the higher prices. We are talking, what, 60-90 days to add how much value? In my mind worth using a cc and maybe paying 1-2 months interest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Any one know if the stations put anti gel additives in the fuel around here? I'd put a heater under it for a while and you should be fine for now. Add some anti gel additives during cold weather to prevent it from happening again. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Reading another thread (Caster need a new knife) got me thinking. Are there any small fixed blades that could be carried in a business casual environment. Either by concealing comfortably or preferably just because they look good enough to fit in. Maybe something with a horizontal sheath? Currently I carry a Kershaw leak and love it but the assisted open doesn't assist so well anymore and it is showing some wear. Also since these threads tend to drift anyway - do any of you own or have seen a knife from http://goughcustom.com/products/resolute/resolute.html Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Sounds like you need to sell the others to afford this one. I would get this one on a credit card or something and take your time unloading the others so you don't loose money or sell something you will regret selling later. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
AFAIK, no. One downside to a conversion is that both natural gas and propane burn hotter than gasoline. That will take its toll on the generator's internal parts, specifically the exhaust valves. It's hard to know exactly how that translates in terms of hours of life lost to using non-gasoline fuels. The genny may also produce less output when running on those fuels, though how much less depends greatly on the genny itself and weather conditions. Still, I'll take a slight drop in output to have a steady supply of fuel that doesn't need to be cycled out. I'm far from an expert on these things. Those are just some things I've picked up from internet forums on the topic.
I ran propane buffers for several years. Of the 6 or 8 Kawasaki engines that I ran I never had any engine problems. These machines ran an average of 4-6 hours per night 6-7 nights a week. So, while propane may run hotter I don't think it is significant enough to damage the engine over the long run. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

The best bang is to use 6v golf cart batteries. 4 of them wired series parallel will give you many hours of run time. They are also designed for deep discharge and rapid recharge. I've run about every type of battery available and my preference from best to worst is 6v, group 31, deep cycle, agm, everything else. The 6v and 31s will outlast about everything else. My income used to depend on how long the batteries in my machines would last both in a single run and in time before replacement. As for charging batteries inside, so long as it is in a well ventilated area you are fine. I wouldn't charge one in my kitchen, but the garage is fine. Or in my case many times in a hotel room.
I have both, and frankly I like my inverter better...my PV panels charge my battery bank, batteries are run through a seperate 15 amp circuit with enough outlets in the right places to get the job done. Yeah, I can't run my stove, dryer, AC or heater off it, but it gives me the basic creature comforts. If I need the big stuff I haul out the generator and run it for an hr or so to do what i gotta and then put it away. Inverters are nice...lights, tv, laptop...no noise, no fumes
They are pretty nice but do not care for running things with motors such as drills and pumps. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

FBI Releases new stats on background checks completed for 2013
. When you build consider 2x6 studs on the outer walls with the blown cellulose insulation and a very careful application of house wrap (tape the seams, around the windows, etc.) Also, high efficiency windows (double pane with the metallic coating and filled with argon). We did those things and the difference is huge. Right now at 9 degrees outside I can stand by a window and it just feels slightly cool. No drafts anywhere either. Which ever heat/AC system you chose the quality of construction/insulation will make a big difference.
On this topic I would look at enertia building systems. I will just say this: I lived in Ohio most of my life and never saw an electric bill higher than about $250 using a real furnace (and even then it wasn't a good one). That was heating over 2000 sqft. On average they had been around $175 or so. I've been in TN for 3 years with much more mild winters. These $&@& heat pumps have cost me up to $500 a month to heat less space! I've been in 2 different houses. One with goodman heat pump and this one with a amana. On average the bills have been around $300 during the winter since I've been here. Put a real furnace in and be done with it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Oh the horror that this kid must have had to face. I mean how terrible it is to have a dad in his life that obviously loves his son. Maybe his dad should just show up the first week of the month like half the kids in school today. That would be so much more normal. I applaud the dad for wanting to wave by to his kid everyday. I'm sure by the end of this episode the kids were waiting anxiously to see what good old dad had on this morning. Further I would venture to say that the kid gained some popularity over the whole incident. I genuinely fear the day that my boys find me embarrassing to be around. I was directed into the 15 item or less register by one of their csms the last time I went even though I had a bunch of stuff. And of course as soon as she started ringing me up 3 other people jumped in the line. I love walmart like a toothache. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I am a sparky by trade, I hate 3, 4 way circuits. I still think he has a wire pinched, all he did was swap the light fixture.
I'm with you on this. 3 ways are a pain enough, and I'd like to electrocute the person that came up with the 4 way switch. I don't think he pinched a wire if both switches are doing it. Although we don't have all the info I'm betting that he has a loose neutral (basically the ground is acting as a neutral). New executive actions on gun background checks
Dane replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Problem is that anyone that wants a gun can get a gun regardless of any amount of background check in place. The background checks are a complete waste of resources. That money could be better spent helping those with mental illnesses. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -

Calling all wood cutters, loggers and chainsaw enthusiasts
If your looking for a slightly smaller saw I would reccomend the Husky 365 xp or the 550 xp. Both are great saws and professional grade. For a home owner saw I love the Husky 455 and 460 Ranchers. Plenty of power, and not stupid heavy. But I am a huge Husqvarna fan anyways so that helps lol. Id say for what you do a semi-chiesel chain would be the ticket. They just perform better in overall conditions and all you give up is a little speed to a full chiesel. A safety chain is never gonna cut like a good sharp semi or full chiesel.Tapatalk ate my spelling.
Just as an FYI if you get your husky stuff from tsc. A year ago we started carrying Jonsered saws and accessories. If you are not familiar with them, they are a husky in a red casing. Absolutely identically. But now we can get the pro saws that husky makes where as before we couldn't. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
