I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and I do keep a pump shotgun under the bed without one in the chamber. I dont think they could manipulate the slide at this point but I am rethinking this as my son is getting a bit older. After reading this I think I am going to go to hooks on a door. Could someone post a link of exactly what you are talking about? Thank you.

I searched for these bills on here but didnt see them, sorry if this is a repost NASHVILLE — Legislation allowing those with handgun permits to bring their weapons into state parks as well as state wildlife management areas passed the House Judiciary Committee this morning. Committee members passed House Bill 961, which authorizes persons with permits to possess their firearm in a refuge, public hunting area, wildlife management area or on national forest land on a voice vote. Also approved on a voice vote was House Bill 716, which authorizes permit holders to bring their firearm into state parks. It does not include local parks. Both bills now go to the House Finance Committee. Meanwhile, the committee also approved House Bill 254, which deletes an existing requirement that purchasers of firearms give a thumbprint as part of the background check process and that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation furnish thumbprint cards and pads to firearm dealers. The committee delayed a bill allowing permit holders to bring their handguns into restaurants selling alcohol until 11 p.m. — provided they do not drink. Also delayed was legislation shutting down public access to a Department of Safety database on who holds handgun permits. The bill also would make it a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to $2,500 in fines to publish information about who has a permit. The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Eddie Bass, D-Prospect, said he delayed the database-closure bill because he is thinking of doing away with the criminal sanction and instead creating a cause of action through which permit holders can sue if information about them is published.

Oh well, I couldnt wait. I went ahead and got a fobus paddle holster off ebay. If I find a decent leather I may buy it as well.

I just picked up my first Kimber and my first .45 The previous owner let it go for 700 with an ankle holster and a box of ammo. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Its the Kimber Ultra Carry 2. Well, was it a good deal or pretty average? The picture isnt mine but it could be.

Walmart in Soddy is empty as was Sportsmans Warehouse on Saturday. He said their tricks come in on Mondays though. I didnt check back yesterday.

+1 It took me almost 6 months to get my holster but it was well worth the wait!

I was hunting an either sex Bow hunt 15 years ago or so and had a real moral delemma. I had a doe cross in front of me, I had never shot a deer at the time and had the perfect 20 yard shot. But by the time she came from the thicket I got a good look at her and she had about a 4" red ribbon tied around her neck like she was gift wrapped for me. I knew right then that someone had raised this deer, we were on a lease in Jackson Co. Well I let one fly anyway. Missed her. She ran up the hill away from site. My dad didnt tell me until about 6 months later that she ended up running by him and he gut shot her. He never found that deer. A shame, but what a weird story. Later that night we went to the local tag place and I was telling my story and the whole place stated to whisper to one another about the "red ribbon deer" like it was some ghost folk lore. Dad didnt tell me or anyone else for a long time.

Better fill up now. Since the election is over I look for it to go back up a bit.
