  1. according to the ATF 922r is for importers compliance. No one has ever been charged with a violation and the ATF has admitted that enforcement post import is impossible. The is no way to identify parts origins after it's in country. That being said you are technically correct.
  2. Fox has not traditionally been considered part of the main stream media complex. Thus the reason I separated them.
  3. Which media? Mainstream media tries to destroy any and all Rebulican/conservative/libertarian candidates and Fox vasilates among the same candidates depending on who's winning polls/debates. Talk Radio guys all have different favorites. So ... I'm not sure where this unified "they" conspiricy group that has one goal of destroying Paul and electing Perry comes from. Outside of the "mainstream" media the others go with who ever is winning the polls and debates. So with that logic the "they" you refer to is "us" who vote.
  4. Who is this "they" you speak of?
  5. GB never went after Sadaam becasue our stated goal was to get them out of our ally Kuwait. We did that and left. Look how that turned out. We should have finished it then, but politics were not so different then as they are now. As far as WMD - He had them. He used them to great effect in Kurdistan, Iran as well as inside Iraq. We found a lot and many went to Russia among other places. Dislike him if you want but broad generalities that accentiate or minimize the facts just make your arguments invalid. If you recall this is the same fact crapping that got dumped on our troops after Nam.
  6. If you buy the pro series you get roughly $200 in value for roughly a $95 upcharge. So, it is a cheaper and easier way to get night sights and a better trigger for fairly cheap. If you do it yourself you will pay more but will get a little more dialed in trigger and more options as to what sights you want. The APEX is very easy to do.
  7. The problem was with the older Century builds. I think they had monkeys with hammers on those things. Currently Century is subbing out their builds now and the quality is better. As to the OP, a WASR is fine for what you are looking for. If you want a nice one get one of the Arsenals (using the Saiga now) or get a Saiga and convert it. Like Mike said, stick to com-block accesories for the AK especially mags and barrels. US manufactures just can't seem to get either right.
  8. I always thought the dabate was left between .270 and 30-06. I didn't know there where any others. Seriously, both those can be loaded for anything from dangerous African game to any Europena or American game, large or small. .270 can load down for the smaller stuff a little better than 30-06 and 30-06 can be loaded a little heavier for the bigger stuff better than .270. Either way both great rounds. I prefer .270
  9. There is so much non-sense and mis-labeling in this statement I don't know where to start. This whole thing is WAY off base. I've been a pastor for over 13 years and been through several seminaries and there is nothing in your statement that rings true. Who ever has been spouting this stuff to you as truth is akin to snake handler's in Appalachia. This is not personal towards you, as I realize you are stating what you percieve has been taught to you, but this is not normal. I can also assure you that Sharia Law and the Torah are not the same. There are some simalarities, but they are entirely different in principle.
  10. Over simplyfing complex issues is the first sign of ignorance and paranoia.
  11. Overall, they are hardly the same. Philosophies and fundamentals are polar opposites. This is best exemplified in the Supreme Court rulings on 2a amongst other rulings. As far as politicians being politicians, yes, there is very litte difference.
  12. Conservative, although I'm registered as a Republican. Registered that way early in life and just haven't changed it.
  13. No we don't. That's just a fear reaction to a lie. Let the truth stand on it's own and go about our buisness the right way and time will be a better judge than any momentary agruement we think we need to win.
  14. The main reason I can't stand professional athletes.
  15. I think some people confuse cheap with being thrifty. In this day and time there is no reason a person can't not know the fair price of an item. If the store/dealer is offering an already fair price and you try to "negotiate" them down, you're being cheap. IMO you are taking from their famly for your own good and it's a win-loose. If you pay the fair price it's win-win. Most buisness's operate on fairly small margins. The ironic thing is most of the "negotiaters" are also the ones complain about the "Walmart" model driving out small buisness then make it hard for small buisness by "negotiating" their already low margins and make that much more difficult to stay in buisness. Just sayin. NOw like has been said, some items are expected negotiations. I'm not refering to them. Restraunts, retail, etc are not in that boat.
  16. It will also take HK accesories (stocks, forearms, rails, etc.) that the GSG won't.
  17. It's a side buisness. They are still with PJD. BTW - that is an old episode. Rick with OCC also has his own custom shop on the side while he works full time with OCC. Been that way for a couple years.
  18. Deleted comment by me.
  19. You already know this, but services are not taxed anyway so that wouldn't matter.
  20. I used to think this way ... till I starteed working in a gun store. The GOAL is to have a $50 to $100 margin in a used gun. There is very little margin on guns new or used. If someone is negotiating that much then they are paying you to take the gun. CDNN is a distributor that advertises their prices to everyone. They are selling at dealer cost. No local stores can not compete with that. Buds margin is $10-$20 on a gun and they work off of a volume basis. They are the Walm-Mart of gun stores. Very few smaller stores can compete with them. That being said, we have found we can get fairly close once everything is factored. The main difference is tax. They really need to start charging tax on online purcheses and then competiton will be much more in line. How's that for stirring the pot!
  21. Will was and is well known as the go to guy for making accurate AK conversions and builds. That was always his thing. Still is. He is to the Saiga rifle what Tony Tumore (Tromix) is to the Saiga 12. I'm guessing the show is trying to be more "exciting" by making all these crazy builds. Most of them serve no purpose, but I got to admit if I had the resources and tools to build anything I could think of you better believe I'd be making some crazy stuff. Why? Becasuse I can. Will has always built oddball stuff, simply becasue he can. As far as Stephanie being fake, if the numerous times I've talked to her on the phone about gun buisness is any indication of reality, what you see on the show is all her.

    .357 Sig ?

My understanding is exactly this. The THP uses .357 SIG for the extra range and door/glass penetration that the .40 and .45 lack. I also understand the same reason being why MNPD and many other PDs use the .40 S&W. Less chance of over penetration.
  23. 100% agree. Pauls is an excellent voice of truth and reason on many points. Some people are presidents some are advisers. Presidents aren't always the best, but the good ones surround themselves with the right people to keep them straight. Paul would be an excellent inner circle guy.
  24. Bluebook has it from $425-$525 (90%-98% condition). Gunbroker has two 99's with bidding from $375-$400. I paid $425 for a used one a couple years agao. Wish I still had that gun.
  25. Jeff, you have to put it on the .458!
