  1. I've got 8 coming (4 kids four adults). I think my membership has lapsed anyone know what the cost is going to be and do we have to buy memberships? Looking forward to finally making it to one of these.
  2. They did, but Mr. Kazner is reorganizing and planning to reopen at Shot 2012. At least this is what he indicated on AR15.com. It will be a welcome back for a lot of good imports. I hope they bring back the CD HiPower as well as the Tavor! I've been watching this thread over on ar15 and I could almost see Charles having a heart attack getting so excited!
  3. Yep, small accounts are where a lot of the car, refinance, personal, LOC, etc loans origninate but buisness and large loans need large acoounts to make those possible. So big loans need large accounts so that small buisness can get the loans to pay employees who use smaller accounts to fund the smaller loans. It is a nifty little circle working there. I just don't understand why some folks can't see the forest for the trees. Sure there is abuse on both ends. The welfare and the rich end. However, the rich abuse still puts out net positives in our economic system. The low end .... all they can do is take.
  4. Yes. It can still work at certain times and is really cool when the enviromental factors are right. It works by evaporation cooling the air. If it is too humid then the moisture can't evaporate fast enough to cool the air.
  5. Blaming Facebook for unproductivity and the decline of our students academics is like blaming guns for killings and spoons for Rosie O'Donnels fatness. Again, nobody is forced to speculate in the market. The market for the most part is fairly stable untill the feds pump out monopoly money. That is the real problem with the market ... the government, not buisness and investors.
  6. Earp, what exactly are "they" supposed to give back? It is business and the reason America has prospered beyond the rest of the world. Workers work and get paid in return. They are then able to buy and "earn" more than they produced by investing. The risk is directly tied to the reward. Nobody put a gun to anyones head and the money is easily liquidated at the customers convenience. IN fact if you look back to the Great Depression, statistically speaking, if people had left their money in the market they would have not only made back what they lost they would have gained 10% in as little as 5-10 years after the collapse. The vast majority of millionaires in this country are 1 generation millionaires. It is that reinvested money that makes it able for you and me to get a loan and buy a house or start a business and have the potential to become the next millionaire in the richest, nicest, most prosperous country in the world. I'd say "they" have given back. As far as the "attacks", near sighted revolutionary anarchist are how Hitler, Stalin, Castro, Chavez, and Obama got in charge.
  7. This works ... if you're in Arizona. There is a reason we don't use swamp coolers except in arid regions
  8. I'm told you can call S&W and they will send you one for free.
  9. I used a Vortex SPARC and really liked it. It comes with multiple mounts and a magnifyer all for >$200. Hard to beat for that money.
  10. I wish. I sold my AK to pay bills so the only one I have is the Mosin! Man, I miss that gun!
  11. Maybe some of you LEO's can clarrify but why where they trying to enter the house if they believed there was an armed individual inside? I've never heard of that being SOP, especially when they can see the guy through the door. Secondly, shooting through a barrier I think is going be probalmatic for the LE. Good shoot or not, it seems that the cops could have given more space, which they are taught to do, instead of closing the gap unecessarily. That of course assumes they had no reason to beleive anyone else was inside. Story doens't indicate. Just thought I'd post some thoughts from the other side.
  12. Both are great guns and were proven in the military test. The only real difference is that the FNP-45 is a HUGE gun. The M&P45 is realatively small feeling for a full size gun. It has a very similar feel to the M&P9/40, which was surprising.
  13. I'm going to try and make it with a few people. Possibly 6, including myself.
  14. 900
  15. double tap
  16. Walther has the same thing. Their demo's of the P99 at Shot Show had them. Evidently it's only for Europe.
  17. Good choice on the 7.62x39. It just feels more fun shooting than the 5.45. That being said the 5.45 is a nasty round.
  18. Well, that was a Hyosung GV250 (an excellent bike for the $!) and it bought me the Vstar with louder pipes!
  19. The Yamaha Vstar 650 is what you are describing. I have one and love it. I can keep up with any cruiser on the interstate and it is very easy to get around town on with it's light weight and solid motor. Very easy to work on. The other benfit is that when you decide to move up the Vstar 650 is THE bobber project bike.
  20. That but the bigger issue is that most 9mm bullets have long taper bearing surface and will "slip" out of place. 357 Sig bullets have a flatter bearing surface to mate better with the small seating area of the .357 SIG brass. Some 9mm bullets will work, but I'm told it it better to just use .357 sig specific bullets.
  21. You may already know this, but when I was researching it I found out that you can not use .40 S&W cases or 9mm bullets. You need to use .357 SIG specific bullets and .357 SIG cases.
  22. Thread title was why he could not get elected. That has been discussed. You want to keep coming back to the same media complex conspiricy theory and that anyone who cites anything to the contrary is not intellectually honest as well as being unprincipled. Makes me think you are the one blinded by your "messiah" and not seeing the big picture. No president will fix all the problems. It will have to start on the local level and then trickle down to the Washington. No president can be all things to all people. At some point it is a compramise. You just have to decide which areas are the most important given the present circumstances. Anyone who has ever been in a relationships understands this.
  23. So ... getting the worse of two evils is better? Personally, I'm starting to adjust myself to the idea of a second term lame duck Obama administration. That will surely be a much better plan!
  24. I've had three XD's and two M&P's. I like the ergos of the M&P's better. Add to that the M&P is all stainless and has a much lower bore axis and I think the M&P is a better overall gun. That being said I really like the XDm's a lot as well. Their capacity is a nice feature.
