  1. That's just awesome! BTW - you might want to invest in a hat and some sunscreen!
  2. Every maker is having the same problem. Daniel Defense told me in February they were already 90% sold out for the year. The distributors are also telling us that ammo and guns are getting scarce. It's going to one of those election years.
  3. So I discovered I've got a few opossums taking up residence under my house and in one wall (accessed from the crawl space). It's a mother and what was 4 juveniles. They aren't there in the day but come back every night. They are getting in around the AC unit and I've sealed it up as best I can but there's no way to get it completely closed off. We set traps for a week now and they zip right past them. I got fed up and stalked them last night with the BB gun and killed two of the juveniles and I believe I hit the other two youngster but the BB gun isn't going to do much for momma. I don't want to kill them bu the little ones are tearing into the kitchen wall behind the dish washer. Any home remedies for that would send them away or just keep hunting. Can't shoot anything other than a BB gun under the house without hitting AC lines and plumbing. They come in around 9-10 pm. BTW - Animal Pro's came out and set traps and over the course of the week all we caught was a neighborhood cat. Not thrilled with them and the $150 I paid to have the opossums dealt with humanely. Of course not a whole lot they could do aside from being there at night.
  4. Yep and with Ruger's announcement that they aren't taking any more orders this year the famine will continue with ammo and guns. I talked to Daniel Defense at the end of February and they told me they were already 90% sold out!. This is going to be an interesting year.
  5. I do sometimes when it's cold due to the carburetor, just to keep it warm. Otherwise, I think it's annoying. It's kinda like the guys at the gas station who have to leave their radios playing in order to mark their territory.
  6. You REALLY need to get your info from the BATF before you commit a felony. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse under the law.
  7. IF you did the transaction out of state, regardless of where you live then transport it back across state lines... felony. Going to Alabama - we are back to square one. You don't need a bill of sale for any transaction, but you do need a FFL background check if the handgun is crossing state lines. No assumption, you said Memphis State (University of Memphis = TN + You are residents of MS = Felony.
  8. Looks like a Glock, Walther P99, SR9, and XD had a baby.
  9. I've played with all of them and I would definitely get the SD before I'd get a Sigma. That being said the M&P is worth far more than $140 over the other two. Reasons being are parts, trigger, accessories, features, sight availability, magazine cost, etc. Just counting magazine cost, you will nearly cover the $140 difference in two or three mags, not to mention that the frustration you will find trying to get a good holster for the SD or Sigma will be worth the price difference.
  10. And it gets better: Buying of Craigslist On a college campus Across state lines ... I wonder what the next felony will be?
  11. that's because CTD doesn't stock any guns. They drop ship from two different distributors. CTD processes the money and that is it. They never see the gun you ordered.
  12. This thing is heading to all places epic!
  13. The Lone Wolf will be fine. You will need 9mm mags. You may also want to get a solid guide rod and lighter springs for the 9mm.
  14. Are we really surprised by his lack of judgment?
  15. Not just the head coach, but a lot of the assistants got suspensions (not a year though). Going to be a hard year for them.
  16. Haha, nah not nuggets. Strips of chicken breast breaded and fried.
  17. I did a wedding for an old farmer in Arkansas and he paid me in some of the most delicious farm raised, home cooked chiken tenders I've ever had! I like the barter system myself
  18. After looking at the AKARS more I don't like it. Too complicated for what it needs to be. To each his own, but I'll stick with the TWS. BTW - The TWS also has a BUIS that actually increases the sight radius and makes a big difference.
  19. Haven't heard of these yet, but the Texas Weapons System (which it looks like Parabellum copied) has been throughly tested and indeed works. I had one on an AK I sold and plan on getting them for my other AK's. http://texasweaponsystems.com/id1.html
  20. So you don't like that reasoning going one direction, but you then apply that same reasoning to condem Zimmerman as a murderer?
  21. Could very well be, but when every story I've read starts off with a racial slant that is errant in the facts leads me to defer judgment till more facts are available. He wasn't charged and has only become an issue due to the ongoing erroneous claim that this was a black child shot by a white man. Zimmerman is clearly hispanic by his statements and photo from a multicultural family. While he may very well be guilty of stupidity and possibly chargeable offenses, when a story is this factually errant and emotionally driven, justice will not be the outcome as evidenced by the knee jerk condemnations in just this detached thread on a gun board in TN. As to the directions of the 911 operator, they are also notoriously documented as recommending against any individual response, preferring only police action to self defense. They are not legal advisors nor are they informed enough to make any judgment calls or recommendations.
  22. So you prefer the guilty till proven innocent system. Interesting.
